Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of character education on students' motivation in school in State Vocational School. This study was a pretest-posttest nonequivalent design. The results indicate that of the t-test results tcount 4.726 with p value 0,000 (0,000<0,05). Then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, so it is stated that there is a significant difference between the experimental and the control group.

Abstract

The purpose of research and development is produce information materials of studies into college to improve career decision making of High School Students. Research and development is carried out by adapting the concept of Research and Development by Borg and Gall. In expert judgement, the product was rated 80,83% by the first expert and 81,67% by the second expert. In a practitioner test, the product was rated 81,67%  by first practitioner and 80,83% by second practitioner, and 85,83% by third practitioner. Based on the result of hypothesis, it is known tcount=7.588 and ttable= 1,701 (0,000 <0,05),  tscore>ttable. It means that there are difference in the value of career decision-making skill significantly between before and after treatment were treated using information material of studies into college. The information materials have met the eligibility criteria based on expert testing and product testing as well as effective practitioners to improve students? career decision-making skills.

Abstract

This study was a guidance and counseling action research (GCAR). This study was conducted in two cycles, each of cycles consisting of planning, acting, observating and reflecting. Source of data comes from students. Technique of collecting data used was an observation an academic questionaire on the finding in the field. The data validation was conducted using data triangulation and expert metode. The data analysis employed precentage analysis technique and clinical. The research procedure used Kemmis and MC Taggart?s model. The result of research showed that the average pretest value of 75,92. Posttest siclus I showed average value os 88,17 and increasing precentage about 16,12 % was said not significant. The result of action in cycle II showed significant degression of 120,08 and increased of 58,36 % with showed significant value.

Abstract

This study was a quasi-experimental design with the type of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique was Purposive Random Sampling Technique. Data analysis  was  using Two-Way ANOVA. Based on the testing result of hypothesis I the value of Fcount is 9,138 and Ftable was 3,92, with the significance level of 0,003<0,05. It is identified that Fcount>Ftable then Ha  was  accepted.  It  means  that  there  is  significantly  difference  in  the  ability  of interpersonal communication before being given treatment and after being given treatment. The testing result of hypothesis II the value of Fcount was 5,542  and  the  Ftable  is  3,92,  with  the significance level  of 0,020 <0,05.  It  was identified that Fcount>Ftable then Ha is accepted. It may imply that there are significantly differences in the ability of interpersonal communications in the experimental group and the control group. The testing result of sub hypothesis III the value of Fcount  is 4.850 and the Ftable  is 3.92, with the significance level of 0.034<0.05. It is identified that the Fcount > Ftable then Ha is accepted. It means that there is an interaction between groups of interpersonal communication skills on pretest and posttest with interpersonal communication skills in the experimental group and the control group.

Abstract

This study was initially conducted due to the fact that the are still many students found to have difficulties in learning, either because of their less precise learning methods or their low learning skill. This was shown in the number of students who did cheating during tests and a large number of students who learn only if there will be daily tests or exams. It is therefore, students? learning skill needs to be improved. To improve the learning skill, a guidance and counseling service which suits the characteristics and needs of adolescents is required. This research was using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The results shown that p-value was 0,000 (0,00<0,05). So, can be concluded that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. There was a significant difference on study skill improvement between the experimental group given the treatment and the control group who did not receive treatment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the group guidance services through smart monopoly game to the develop elementary students? creativity. This research was using treatment by subject design. The subject of the research were 40 students of 5th elementary school. Data subject derived from primer data who is the students. Using data collection instruments that is verbal creativity tests. Based on the result of hypothesis, it is known that there are development of creativity before and after treatment by group guidance services through media smart monopoly game that is t calculated = 17.460 compared with t table = 0,023 or t calculated > t table (0,000 with significance  < 0,05). The result of the research that group guidance services through media smart monopoly game is efective to develop students?  creativity.

Abstract

The purpose  of this  study was  to  determine  the effectiveness  of  the scrabble games to the development of social interactions with the peer group of a elementary school students in Temanggung. This research was pre-experimental design. The subject of the research were 38 elementary school students. Based on the result of hypothesis, it is known that there are development of social  interactions  with  peer group  before and after treatment  by scrabble games that is tcount=4,105 compared with ttable=1,68 or tcount>ttable (p value 0,000<0,05). The result of the research that scrabble games is efective to develop the social interactions with peer group in Elementary School students.

Abstract

The aim of the research were to know the effectiveness sociodrama technique to improve interpersonal communication ability of the seventh grade Junior High School students. This research was an experimental research which used Treatment by Subject Design. The subject of the research was the seventh grade students of Junior High School in Magetan which  consist  32  students.  The source  of the data was  premier data the students, the Technique of collecting data was interpersonal communication questionnaire. The result of hypotheses test used Paired-Sample T-test showed that tcount = 26,70 and ttable=1,695, so tcount > ttable (26, 70 > 1,695). Based on the result of the calculation above, the data was significant. It means there were differences between the mean score of interpersonal communication questionnaire before treatment and the mean score after treatment. Based on the research, it can be concluded that sociodrama technique is effective  to  improve  interpersonal communication  ability.
