Abstract

YouTube has transformed the way people access information and interact virtually, and among the many creators producing gossip-related content is a popular podcast channel, Iwil Spill The Tea. The content, themed around the trending phrase “Spill The Tea,” has become synonymous with gossiping. This study aims to analyze the influence of viewing intensity of the Iwil Spill The Tea content on information trust and gossip dissemination. Data were collected from the community through field surveys using a stratified random sampling method. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively with descriptive techniques, supported by SPSS version 26 using simple linear regression. The results show that viewing intensity significantly influences information trust, with a significance value of 0.003 < 0.05. Furthermore, viewing intensity also has a significant effect on gossip dissemination, with a significance value of 0.039 < 0.05. These findings indicate that the more frequently individuals watch the content, the higher their level of trust in the information presented and the greater their confidence in sharing gossip-related information with others.

Abstract

This study looks at how Batam City's Rural Banks' (BPR) non-financial performance is affected by Good Corporate Governance (GCG). A Likert-scale questionnaire was used to gather quantitative data from 62 carefully chosen employees. Multiple linear regression was used for analysis, with validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests providing support. The findings show that transparency, accountability, and responsibility all significantly and favorably affect non-financial performance, especially when it comes to improving internal governance procedures, operational efficacy, and service quality. When combined, these GCG principles strengthen organizational discipline and promote more efficient decision-making within BPR operations. Overall, the findings indicate that strong GCG implementation not only improves institutional performance but also contributes to long-term sustainability, suggesting that BPR management should continually reinforce GCG practices to build stakeholder trust, increase operational efficiency, and enhance organizational competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Musyawarah content on the @NajwaShihab YouTube channel toward subscribers' perceptions of current issues. The research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 114 respondents who are subscribers of the @NajwaShihab YouTube channel. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 25 software through validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and simple linear regression analysis. The results of the validity test showed that all statement items were valid, while the reliability test indicated that the instruments were reliable. The normality test results showed an Asymp. Sig. value of 0.083 (> 0.05), meaning the data are normally distributed, and the heteroscedasticity test result was 0.814 (> 0.05), indicating no heteroscedasticity symptoms occurred. The simple linear regression analysis results demonstrate that Musyawarah content has a positive and significant influence on subscriber perceptions, with a regression coefficient value of 0.647 and a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05). The regression equation obtained is $Y = 4.508 + 0.647X$. The coefficient of determination ($R^2$) result of 0.862 or 86.2% indicates that the subscriber perception variable can be explained by the Musyawarah content variable, while the remaining 13.8% is influenced by other factors outside this study. Consequently, the hypothesis stating that there is an influence of Musyawarah content on the @NajwaShihab YouTube channel toward subscribers' perceptions of current issues is accepted. Keywords: Musyawarah Content, YouTube, Subscriber Perception, Current Issues.

Abstract

This study examines the school branding strategy of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Batam in building the institutional image of Creating a Successful Qur’anic Generation in the digital era. The research is grounded in the growing demand for educational institutions, particularly Islamic schools, to strengthen their identity and competitiveness through digital branding. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach with an instrumental case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving key stakeholders, including the headmaster, public relations staff, teachers, student affairs officers, students, and parents. The findings reveal that branding at MAN 1 Batam is not merely promotional but functions as a value-based and collaborative process. The headmaster acts as the initiator of brand identity, public relations serve as the executor of digital communication, teachers and student affairs reinforce internal brand values, students emerge as co-creators of institutional image, and parents function as public legitimators. From the perspective of Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) and digital branding, MAN 1 Batam demonstrates message consistency across multiple digital platforms; however, challenges remain in terms of human resource limitations, content consistency, and students’ exposure to negative digital influences. This study contributes to the discourse on educational branding by emphasizing the importance of actor synergy, value internalization, and digital engagement in shaping a sustainable and credible school image

Abstract

Environmental sustainability has become an important issue in accounting due to the increasing environmental impacts of economic activities. Accounting students, as future professionals, are expected not only to master technical accounting skills but also to understand environmental issues and corporate social responsibility. This study aims to analyze the effect of environmental accounting knowledge, environmental sensitivity, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) knowledge on the environmental sustainability of accounting students in Batam City. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The research population consists of final-year accounting students at universities in Batam City, and the sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis after conducting data quality tests and classical assumption tests. The results show that environmental accounting knowledge, environmental sensitivity, and CSR knowledge partially have a positive and significant effect on the environmental sustainability of accounting students. In addition, the three independent variables simultaneously have a significant effect on the environmental sustainability of accounting students in Batam City. The conclusion of this study is that improving environmental accounting knowledge, environmental sensitivity, and CSR knowledge can enhance sustainability awareness and attitudes among accounting students. This study is expected to provide useful input for higher education institutions in developing sustainability-oriented accounting education.
