Abstract

The Batamtoday editorial team is a pioneer of online media in the Riau Islands. Through the presence of Batamtoday, the public can easily access information on a mass scale, anytime and anywhere. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method utilizing the managerialism and organizational democracy theory by Stanley Deetz. This theory demonstrates how communication practices in an organization can distort decision-making. The sub-theories of strategy, agreement, involvement, and participation in organizations provide a contradictory understanding of communication practices in an organization. Strategy and agreement as part of managerialism determine decision-making through leadership domination, while involvement and participation as part of democracy provide a solution to the chaos of domination through leadership movements. The results of the study indicate that the form and pattern of communication applied by the Batamtoday editorial team is verbal, with a communication pattern tailored to the social reality practices within Deetz's concept. The organizational structure in Batamtoday does not give an impression of rigidity in its communication practices. In conclusion, this study shows that the Batamtoday editorial team employs effective communication strategies to build news coverage in the Riau Islands. Communication practices within the editorial team appear flexible and semi-formal, allowing for the involvement and participation of team members in decision-making. Stanley Deetz's managerialism and organizational democracy theory can provide a useful perspective in understanding the dynamics of communication in organizations and how communication strategies can influence decision-making.

Abstract

The coal mining industry serves as an indicator to support the Indonesian economy. The increasing number of investors seeking to invest in the coal mining sector in the Indonesian Stock Exchange contributes to the country's economy through tax revenue generated from coal sales. Therefore, investors seek companies with good performance by analyzing financial statements and ratios that influence stock prices. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of current ratio, net profit margin, and earning per share on stock prices in coal mining companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2022. The research uses purposive sampling, resulting in 20 companies and financial reports for 5 periods that meet the criteria. The hypothesis testing using t-tests shows that current ratio (X1) has a negative and insignificant effect on stock prices (Y), net profit margin (X2) has a significant negative effect on stock prices (Y), and earning per share (X3) has a significant positive effect on stock prices (Y). Furthermore, the F-test indicates that the combined influence of current ratio, net profit margin, and earning per share significantly affect stock prices.

Abstract

Welfare must be enjoyed for all people fairly and comprehensively. Welfare is alsoappropriate for workers. The legal dispute occurred in the city of Surabaya in the decision714/Pid.Sus/2022/PN.Sby. In this case, PT Rakuda Furniture paid wages below theminimum wage. The defendant has the duty of being responsible for the company'soperations in determining wages. What is the form of legal protection for workers/labourersfor work wages that are given below the minimum wage? giving wages below the minimumcan be subject to criminal sanctions based on Law No. 13 of 2003 concerningManpower.This study uses normative research, namely using direct studies of regulations.And using an approach to cases (Case Approach), and a legal approach to statutoryregulations (Statute Approach).The form of worker protection guarantee, namely Article 81number 63 in Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation, emphasizes thatemployers who pay wages lower than the minimum wage are subject to criminal sanctionsin accordance with Wirjono Prodjodikoro's aim to protect workers' rights in receiving fairwages and to make lessons educating or improving people who commit crimes. Companiespaying wages below the minimum can be subject to criminal sanctions based on LawNumber 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower in Article 185 and Law Number 11 of 2020concerning Job Creation Article 88 E paragraph (2) states that Employers are prohibitedfrom paying wages lower than the minimum wage, this provision is burdensome criminalresponsibility is the responsibility of the management of the legal entity at PT RakudaFurniture so that companies that provide wages below the minimum can be subject tocriminal sanctions

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Motivation and Work Discipline on the Performance of employees in the Batam City District Office. The research method used is explanatory and quantitative in nature. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling technique, namely the sample in this study consisted of 40 employees who served in the Batam City District Office. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Data were processed using SPSS software version 29 with the results showing that motivation has a positive but not significant effect on employee performance with t count 0.199 < t table 2,0261 ​​and a significance of 0.843 > 0.05. Work Discipline obtained t count value of 7,823 > t table 2,0261 ​​with a significance of 0.00 < 0.05 which means that Work Discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Motivation and Work Discipline simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, this is evidenced by the value of the F test results with F count 40.164 > F table 3.25 and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. And the R-Square value is 0.685.

Abstract

Organisational communication between leaders and subordinates is very important to know because from a good communication, a good relationship between leaders and subordinates is established. From the results of observations, it was found that the common problems experienced by a company are disharmonious relationships between superiors and subordinates, this is due to the lack of trust of superiors to subordinates or vice versa, policy making without transparency, and lack of communication and others. This company experiences various obstacles in its operations caused by obstacles in the communication process, causing a decrease in employee performance. This research was conducted to find out the communication pattern in PT Simatelex Batam City, for the interaction process of PT Simatelex in building relationships and to find out the organisation's strategy in improving employee performance The type of research used is qualitative research. The subjects of this research are Production Leader, Production Line Leader and Production Operator. The results showed that the communication patterns that are often used at PT Simatelex are Circle Pattern, Wheel Pattern, Y Pattern and Star Pattern. Furthermore, the interaction process that exists at PT simatelex, especially the production department, to build relationships between companies and employees, namely with personal relationships and simatelex strategies in improving employee performance, namely time and facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of promotion, brand image and trust on purchasingdecisions of bukalapak application users in Batam City. This research uses quantitativemethods. There is also a population of a sample of 100 respondents who use thebukalapak application at least once. The sampling technique used is perposive samplingwith certain criteria to be sampled. Data processing using SPSS version 25. The analysismethod used in this research is descriptive statistical test, validity test and reliability test,classical assumption test, influence test, hypothesis testing. The analysis results of thestudy prove that the brand image variable with a significant value of 0.01 <0.05 and a trustvariable of 0.02 <0.05 has a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions,while the promotion variable with a significant value of 0.166> 0.05 does not have apositive and significant influence on purchasing decisions

Abstract

Currently, banks have introduced Internet Banking, Mobile Banking and ATMs to improveservice quality and gain satisfaction in transactions. Despite all efforts aimed at developingbetter and easier information technology, information technology in general is not paidattention to and utilized by customers. Therefore, an understanding of customeracceptance of information technology is needed and the need to identify factors that canfacilitate customer transactions at banks, namely through ATMs, internet banking andmobile banking. Based on the background of the problem above, the formulation of theproblem in this study is how the influence of Internet Banking, Mobile Banking and ATM onPanin Bank customer satisfaction both partially and simultaneously. This type of researchis a field research (Field Research). seen from the nature of this research is descriptiveanalysis. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, documentation and literaturestudy. The analytical method used is a quantitative descriptive approach. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of advertising views, digital marketing, and brand image on passenger satisfaction at PT Nusa Indah Travel Bureau. This research uses a type of quantitative approach. The population of this study are all users or people who have used products and services from PT. Nusa Indah Travel Bureau with unknown population size. The research sample used the Cochran formula with a total of 100 respondents using the non-probability sampling method. The collected data will be analyzed using descriptive statistical tests, data quality tests, classical assumption tests, influence tests and hypothesis testing. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis show that advertising views have an effect of 20.5% on passenger satisfaction. Digital marketing has an influence of 33.5% on passenger satisfaction. Brand image has an influence of 31.7% on passenger satisfaction. Analysis of the coefficient of determination (R2) shows that the views of advertising, digital marketing and brand image have a strong influence on passenger satisfaction at PT. Nusa Indah Travel Bureau with a proportion of influence of 67.7% The results of the hypothesis test show that both partially and simultaneously views of advertising, digital marketing, and brand image have a positive and significant effect on passenger satisfaction at PT Nusa Indah Travel Bureau.

Abstract

Research that aims to find the results of the hypothesis on each variable studied.The hypothesis studied was to determine the effect of product quality andpromotion on buying interest of Blibli e-commercial users in Batam. The researchexamined 398 residents of the Beduk tj.Piayu sei. then the research will producecalculations using SPSS version 26. In the research the effect test on productquality t test (X1) is obtained 16.636 > t table 1.971 and 0.000 significant < 0.05.This means that product quality has a positive and significant effect on PurchaseIntention. So the first hypothesis can be accepted. The t test on Promotion (X2)obtained 20.636 > t table 1.971 and was significant 0.000 <0.05. This means thatpromotion has a positive and significant effect on buying interest. Then the secondhypothesis can be accepted

Abstract

The existence of this research is to analyze the effect of convenience and service quality on the decision to purchase Gojek services in the people of Batam City. The ease of using Gojekis the most basic thing in offering products that are sold as well as the quality of service, the better the quality offered the more consumers will use it. This research uses descriptive research with a quantitative approach and the number of respondents is 212 respondents taken from the Taman Cipta Asri Tembesi housing community, Block L Rt 008 Rw 012. With the help of the SPSS version 26 program, it is found that the t count is 7.491 > t table 1.971 and the value sig 0.000 < 0.05 thus the convenience variable has a significant effect on purchasing decisions, on the service quality variable the t count is 4.005 > t table 1.971 and the sig value is 0.000 <0.05, service quality has a significant effect on purchasing decisions. The f count in this study is 104.253 > F table 2.65 and the significance is 0.000 <0.05, so the convenience and quality of service have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions.
