Abstract

Administrative employees at PT McDermott Indonesia perform prolonged computer-based tasks, which increases the risk of musculoskeletal disorders due to the use of a non-ergonomic workstation. The existing desk is too low, the monitor position is misaligned with eye level, and the working posture tends to be forward-bending, leading to significant physical discomfort. This study aims to redesign an ergonomic workstation by utilizing anthropometric data and assessing postural risk using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) and Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) methods. Data were collected through field observations, interviews, documentation, NBM questionnaires, postural angle measurements, and body dimension measurements. The NBM assessment shows that all administrative employees fall into the high-risk category, with scores ranging from 78 to 81. The RULA analysis yields a final score of 6, indicating that immediate corrective action is required. Based on the anthropometric data, an ergonomic desk design is proposed with dimensions tailored to the majority of users, including adjustable height and optimized monitor placement. The redesigned workstation is expected to reduce musculoskeletal risks, improve comfort, and enhance productivity among administrative employees at PT McDermott Indonesia.

Abstract

Employee performance evaluation is an essential activity in manufacturing industries to maintain productivity and product quality. Conventional evaluation methods are often subjective and less effective when performance assessment involves multiple criteria and uncertain data. This study aims to design and implement a web-based employee performance evaluation system using the Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision Making (Fuzzy MCDM) method. Employee performance is assessed based on two main criteria: work quantity, measured by production output against dynamic targets, and work quality, measured by the number of defective products. The Fuzzy MCDM approach is applied through fuzzification, weighting, aggregation, and defuzzification processes to produce objective and adaptive performance scores. The system is developed using PHP and MySQL for data processing, while HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Chart.js are used for interface design and performance visualization. The results show that the system is able to calculate performance scores accurately and present evaluation results clearly through graphical representations. The proposed system can support effective performance monitoring and data-driven managerial decision-making in manufacturing environments.

Abstract

This study discusses quality control analysis in the phosphating process at PT Citra Tubindo Tbk, a manufacturer of Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG). The problem identified was the high rate of non-homogeneous defects in the phosphating process, reaching an average of 4.16% from January to August 2025, which exceeded the company's maximum standard of 2%. This research aims to identify the optimal process parameters to minimize defects and improve process stability using the Taguchi Method. The experimental design used an L9 (3^3) Orthogonal Array involving three control factors: solution pH, immersion time, and temperature. Based on the analysis of the Signal-to-Noise (S/N) Ratio and mean response, it was found that the optimal combination of parameters to minimize defects is a solution pH of 38, an immersion time of 10 minutes, and a temperature of 70°C. The implementation of this optimal level combination is expected to reduce process variability and significantly decrease the defect rate, thereby meeting the company's quality standards.

Abstract

UKM Mie Gajah Mada is a small and medium enterprise located in Kavling Bintang, Batam. The company grapples with major production management challenges, as scheduling relies heavily on managerial intuition rather than data, often resulting in inventory depletion. To address this, the study employs Weighted Moving Average (WMA) and Double Exponential Smoothing (DES) to project product demand. The research aims to establish an optimal inventory control system by selecting the best forecasting technique and applying Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Safety Stock, and Reorder Point (ROP) models. Findings reveal that the 5-period WMA is the most accurate approach according to MAD, MSE, and MAPE indicators. With demand forecasted to fluctuate between 12,815.3 and 2,598 units from April to July, these calculations offer a systematic guide for raw material procurement, helping the firm mitigate the risks of both excess inventory and stock shortages

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia encourages companies to determine appropriate marketing strategies in order to remain competitive amid intense competition. PT Asia Pratama Solusi, a company that manages several e-commerce stores such as KS Computer, APS Comp, Ryzen Comp, and Timothy Acc, faces challenges in determining marketing strategy priorities for product categories, which are still subjective and not yet based on transaction data analysis. This study aims to design and develop a web-based decision support system for marketing strategy determination by applying the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods. The AHP method is used to determine the weight of each promotional criterion based on its level of importance, while the TOPSIS method is applied to rank product categories according to their closeness to the ideal solution. The data used in this study are derived from PT Asia Pratama Solusi’s sales transaction data for the 2024–2025 period. The results indicate that the developed decision support system is able to provide more objective, systematic, and measurable recommendations for product category prioritization compared to previous decision-making methods that relied solely on managerial intuition. The system is developed as a web-based application equipped with features for transaction data management, criteria weighting, AHP–TOPSIS calculations, and recommendation result presentation. With the implementation of this system, the company is expected to determine more targeted marketing strategies, improve promotional effectiveness, and strengthen its competitiveness in the e-commerce industry.

Abstract

Housing sales data in property companies are commonly utilized only for administrative purposes, limiting their potential to generate strategic insights into consumer behavior and purchasing patterns. PT Adi Bintan Permata possesses a substantial volume of housing sales transaction data, yet this data has not been systematically analyzed to support data-driven marketing decisions. This study aims to identify consumer segmentation in the property sector at PT Adi Bintan Permata by applying the K-Means clustering algorithm. A quantitative descriptive research approach was employed using housing sales data from January 2022 to June 2025. The variables analyzed include housing selling price, housing unit type, and payment method. Data processing followed the Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) framework, while the optimal number of clusters was determined using the Elbow Method and Silhouette Coefficient. The clustering process was conducted using RapidMiner and Google Colaboratory. The results reveal three distinct consumer clusters with different purchasing characteristics. These findings indicate that K-Means clustering is effective for property consumer segmentation and provides meaningful insights to support more targeted and effective marketing strategies.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a strategic role in the national economy, especially in the food sector such as tofu production. Many food SMEs still face quality issues due to unstandardized production processes, limited sanitation, and weak quality control. This study analyzes and proposes improvements for the tofu production process at UKM Tahu Ronggolawe, Batam City, to enhance product quality and efficiency. Methods include Six Sigma, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Work Improvement in Small Enterprises (WISE). Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of production and defect data from January to June 2025. Six Sigma analysis shows an average DPMO of 37,864 and an average sigma level of 3.28, indicating moderate process capability with notable defect opportunities. GMP evaluation reveals sanitation, worker hygiene, equipment, production environment, and documentation mostly fall into less compliant or non-compliant categories. WISE assessment indicates work systems, production layout, machine safety, welfare facilities, and organization are poorly structured and lack written SOPs. Proposed improvements include sanitation SOPs, routine employee work rules, better hygiene practices, and gradual optimization of production layout and environment. Integrating Six Sigma, GMP, and WISE is expected to reduce defects, improve product consistency, and achieve a more efficient, hygienic, and sustainable tofu production process.
