Abstract

This study addresses the core issue of consumers experiencing difficulties in selecting suitable moisturizer products for normal to oily skin, amidst the rapid growth of the skincare industry in Indonesia. The objective of this research is to calculate the gap between the ideal and actual profiles in order to identify the degree of compatibility based on predefined criteria, as well as to determine the relevant attributes involved in forming both profiles. The research employs the Profile Matching method as the primary approach to analyze the alignment between product alternatives and the ideal consumer profile. The research design includes the identification of research type, determination of population and sample, data collection procedures through online questionnaires, and data analysis methods. The findings indicate that the Profile Matching method is effective in identifying the most suitable moisturizer product from the Somethinc brand for normal to oily skin. The analysis produces a ranking of products based on the total scores calculated, assisting users in understanding product suitability, effectiveness, and usage behavior. A small or zero gap between the ideal and actual profiles signifies a high degree of compatibility, demonstrating that this method is capable of providing accurate product recommendations. The key aspects contributing to profile formation include product suitability (skin type, skin reaction, product match), usage behavior (frequency of use, awareness of skin type, intention to continue usage), and product effectiveness (variants tried, perceived improvements, and product knowledge).

Abstract

Online transportation services such as Grab have become an essential part of urban mobility in Indonesia, generating a wide range of user reviews that reflect levels of satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the sentiment of these reviews using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. Data were collected from the Google Play Store and processed through several stages, including text preprocessing, automatic labeling based on rating scores (≤3 as negative, ≥4 as positive), and feature representation using the Term Frequency–Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) method. The dataset was split into training data (80%) and testing data (20%), and the SVM model was trained using a linear kernel. Evaluation results showed an accuracy of 82%, precision of 84%, recall of 78%, F1-score of 79%, and an AUC of 0.9015. Further analysis of negative reviews revealed that the aspects of “drivers,” “application,” and “payment” were the main sources of complaints. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of SVM in sentiment classification and its potential as a data-driven service evaluation tool. The study also recommends manual labeling or semantic-based approaches to address inconsistencies between review scores and content.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has increased the potential for threats to system security, one of which is malware attacks. Malware is malicious software that has the ability to disrupt, damage, or steal computer system data without user knowledge. To prevent further damage to the system, malware activity detection is very important. The purpose of this study is to create a classification model that can identify malware attacks based on the behavior of operating system processes when using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method. The dataset used has 100,000 data entries that have 33 attributes that indicate process activity such as CPU usage, memory, and context shifts. Data is divided into training data and test data, exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand data characteristics, data preprocessing to clean and standardize attributes, feature selection based on correlation to reduce model complexity, and development and training of a classification model using SVM with a linear kernel. Using a confusion matrix and evaluation metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score, the model is evaluated. Test results show that the developed SVM model performed very well, with an accuracy of 99.57%, a precision of 99.76%, a recall of 99.38%, and an F1 score of 99.57%. This model also distinguished malware processes from normal processes with a very small number of misclassifications. The results indicate that SVM can perform malware detection based on the behavior of system processes quite well. This research can contribute to the development of automated security systems that can detect threats in real time and help strengthen system defenses against cyberattacks.

Abstract

Product quality is a crucial factor in maintaining a company's competitiveness in the market. Therefore, production quality control is crucial to ensure each product meets established standards. This study aims to analyze the factors causing product defects and implement solutions to improve quality and reduce rework. The quantitative method used is the Six Sigma approach with the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) stages. The results show that the dominant types of defects include pad lifted, solder wire lifted, and solder bending, which contribute significantly to product rejection and rework. Based on Nvidia's 2024 production data with a total output of 900,000 units and a total of 85,487 defects, the DPMO value was obtained at around 333,300, indicating a sigma level in the range of 3, far from the Six Sigma target (3.4 DPMO). Analysis using a fishbone diagram identified the causes of defects originating from human, machine, material, method, measurement, and environmental factors. Problems included a lack of discipline, suboptimal machine conditions, inappropriate raw materials, the absence of written SOPs, and an unsupportive work environment. The implications of these findings form the basis for continuous improvement in the company's quality control system.

Abstract

At PT Volex Batam, the ekstruder machine is an integral part of the cable production process, used for the extrusion of cable insulation and protective layers. This machine plays a vital role in production; however, during the period of September 2024 to February 2025, a total downtime of approximately 194.4 hours was recorded, which disrupted production and caused delivery delays. This study aims to measure the effectiveness level of the ekstruder machine using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) indicator and to identify the factors contributing to the high frequency of machine failures. The methods used in this research are OEE calculation and Six Big Losses analysis. The results show an average OEE value of 73%, which is below the ideal standard of ≥85%. The OEE components include availability at 88%, performance rate at 91%, and quality rate at 90%. The major losses come from equipment failure losses (9.6%), defect losses (8.8%), and idling & minor stoppages (5.1%). Based on the fishbone analysis, four main causes were identified: operator skills, inconsistent SOPs, worn-out machine components, and unstable environmental conditions. The proposed improvements focus on operator training, the implementation of preventive maintenance, and improvement of the working environment.

Abstract

JK Tofu SME still faces obstacles in meeting market demand due to wasteful activities in the production process, such as excessive soybean soaking time and inconsistent and unmeasured yeast addition. This study aims to identify factors affecting tofu production process quality and process requirement standards. The methods used are quantitative approaches through DPMO calculations, Value Stream Mapping, and QFD. The results show that the production process still has defects such as dirty, smelly, and soft tofu. Current Value Stream Mapping analysis indicates low efficiency with a PCE of 51.67% and non-value-added time (NVA and NNVA) of 290 minutes. After improvements through Future State Mapping, the PCE increased to 71.26% and the total process time decreased to 435 minutes. The average DPMO of 33,333.33 with a sigma level of 1.933 indicates that quality is still far from Six Sigma standards. Through QFD Levels 1–3, consumer needs are translated into technical specifications, product characteristics, and production process requirements. Specifications such as ingredient composition and cooking processes influence product quality, while integration across QFD levels strengthens quality control. QFD provides strategic and operational guidance for continuous product quality improvement. This study shows that analyzing the causes of waste can affect product quality and that it is necessary to determine process requirement standards.
