Abstract

KKN-PPM program objectives are : (1) Increase awareness and empathy students to weak economy community problems, resulting in a change in behaviour of students, intuitions and the target group, in this case is the Dibal village community by KKN-PPM programs, (2) Solve environmental problems caused by waste in the Dibal village and create a clean and comfortable environment with environmentally concious socialization and support go green movement, (3) Implementing technology carbonated organic waste into bio-briquettes as an alternative fuel in Dibal village.KKN-PPM activities carried out with of continuous activities series, namely : (1) disseminasion to Dibal community, (2) Procurement of bio-briquette maker equipment : carboning drum, pail, smoothing tool/sieve/strainer, mixer, bio-briquette mold machine, and stove, (3) Training how to make bio-briquette, (4) training how to use bio-briquette.The program implementation results are : (1) Dibal community continuosly able to utilize waste into environmental issues as an alternative fuel through pyrolysis combustion technologies such as bio-briquette, (2) Establishment of the independence of the target communities in managing organic waste into alternative fuel bio-briquette, (3) Dibal villagers applying bio-briquette as an alternative fuel.

Abstract

The purpose of this research: (1) Investigated the motorcycle exhaust emissions Suzuki Shogun FL 125 SP in 2007 used premium,pertamax,and pertamax plus. (2) Investigated the motorcycle exhaust emissions Suzuki Shogun FL 125 SP in 2007 used variation of compression ratio. (3) Investigated the motorcycle exhaust emissions Suzuki Shogun FL 125 SP in 2007 used interaction premium,pertamax, pertamax plus, and variation of compression ratio.This research was used experimental methods.The research was measurement at the Laboratory of Automotive Mechanical Engineering Education Program, JPTK, FKIP, UNS Surakarta to the address on Ahmad Yani road no. 200 Kartasura. Test of CO and HC exhaust gas emissions was used a gas analyzer type STARGAS 898. The population in this research was a motorcycle Suzuki Shogun FL 125 SP in 2007 and the sample in this research was a motorcycle Suzuki Shogun FL 125 SP in 2007 with engine number: F4A1ID113687.Based on this researchcan be concluded: (1) The measurement premium fuel producedthe lowest emission in CO 3.884% by 9.1:1 compression ratio and the the lowestexhaust gas emission levels in 168 ppmby 9.1:1 compression ratio. (2) The measurement pertamax fuel produced the lowest exhaust gas emission levels in CO 3.237% by 9.5:1 compression ratio and the the lowest exhaust gas emission levels in 210 ppm by 9.5:1 compression ratio(3) The measurement pertamax plus fuel produces the lowest exhaust gas emission levels in CO 2.615% by 10.2:1 compression ratio and the the lowest exhaust gas emission levels in 237 ppm by 9.5:1 compression ratio

Abstract

This research purpose is to explore extensively about the competencies required in the workplace, especially in profession of machine operators. The research also aims to find the gap that exists between the competence of vocational school graduates majoring in machinery with the demands of competence in the workplace. The research method used in this study is exploratory qualitative research method. From this research it can be seen that the macro level profession competence of machine operators can be classified into 3 groups of competencies, that is: 1) base competency, 2) Core Competency, and 3) supporting competency. Based on the base competency map, there was a gap between vocational school graduates with professional competence of machine operators, that is 1) competency to read engineering drawings and 2) competency using hand tools. Based on core competency map, 33% of vocational school graduates on levels less capable to work in core area of the machine operator profesion. Based on supporting-competency map, workshop-leaders and senior machine operators have assessed the ability of vocational school graduates are also less capable to perform the service to consumers.

Abstract

Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi mempengaruhi hampir seluruh kehidupan manusia di berbagai bidang. Untuk dapat menguasai ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, maka kualitas sumber daya manusia harus ditingkatkan melalui peningkatan mutu pembelajaran. Pendidikan tidak hanya bertujuan memberikan materi pelajaran tetapi lebih menekankan bagaimana mengajak mahasiswa untuk menemukan dan membangun pengetahuannya sendiri sehingga mahasiswa dapat mengembangkan kecakapan hidup (lifeskill) dan siap untuk memecahkan masalah yang dihadapi dalam kehidupan. Kurikulum Berbasis Kompetensi (KBK) menghendaki situasi belajar yang alamiah, yaitu mahasiswa belajar dengan sungguh-sungguh dengan cara mengalami dan menemukan sendiri pengalaman belajarnya. Situasi pembelajaran sebaiknya dapat menyajikan aplikasi nyata, masalah yang autentik dan bermakna yang dapat menantang mahasiswa untuk memecahkannya. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan adalah pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah atau Problem Based Instruction (PBI). Oleh karena itu penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh model pembelajaran PBI dapat meningkatkan keaktifan, kemandirian disamping ketuntasan belajar mahasiswa.Penelitian berlangsung di prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan FKIP UNS Surakarta selama 6 bulan efektif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan Semester V yang mengikuti mata kuliah Teknik Pondasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) atau lesson study. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi objek, portofolio pengerjaan tugas dan angket.Berdasar hasil analisis penelitian penerapan pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction menunjukan bahwa model Problem Based Instruction dapat diterapkan pada Mata Kuliah Teknik Pondasi. Kegiatan pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction, telah berhasil meningkatkan kemandirian dalam mengkonstruksi pengetahuannya dalam rangka pencapaian kompetensi dasar, keaktifan mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan walaupun tidak signifikan, dan ketuntasan belajar mahasiswa tercapai yang ditunjukkan tidak hanya dari hasil belajar, tetapi juga proses pembelajaran sudah terpusat pada mahasiswa (student centered). Pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction yang dilaksanakan, menurunkan jumlah mahasiswa yang mempunyai score di bawah rata-rata kelas dari 63% menjadi hanya 47% yang mempunyai score di bawah rata-rata kelas dan meningkatkan nilai rerata hasil belajar dari 78,6 menjadi 78,85.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan program supervisi pengajaran untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di sekolah dasar. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam rangka meningkatkan profesionalisme guru, Kepala Sekolah melalui supervisi pengajaran melaksanakan upaya-upaya sebagai berikut: melaksanakan kunjungan kelas, monitoring KBM, rapat dewan guru, pembinaan secara individu maupun kelompok, bacaan profesional, studi lanjut, mengikutkan guru dalam KKG, penataran/lokakarya/seminar, sharing dan diskusi antar guru, guru dengan kepala sekolah, guru dengan pengawas.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are; (1) designing instructional media Computer Aided Design (CAD) for Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan (PTB) PTK FKIP UNS and Vocational High School (SMK) Building Construction Department, (2) to produce a viable medium of learning CAD, (3) determine whether the CAD design of learning media can improve the competence of students in PTB and vocational students Building Construction Department.The designing of instructional Media is made at Vocational High School (SMKN 5 Surakarta) given in the form of video instructional media learning is needed. The method used in this research is the development of research methods. Criteria for success of this study refers to the successful implementation of product testing. The success include process and outcome indicators: (1) it is compliance with aspects of the substance of learning, aspects of media and instructional aspects, (2) It fits for use as a medium of learning, (3) vocational students receive as an innovative product in the learning, (4) it can help Vocational High School students (SMK) in learning more effective and efficient.The conclusion of this study include: (1) CAD design of instructional media for PTB and SMK is carried out in accordance with the procedures, (2) media products of CAD Learning Media is worth to use in PTB FKIP UNS and SMK Building Construction Department, (3) CAD instructional media products can increase the competence of student at PTB and vocational students Building Construction Department.

Abstract

Structuring expertise with the rising spectrum of competence and skill development of the ratio between the SMA: SMK is 30 SMA : 70 SMK has consequences on the fulfillment of teachers in vocational productive. Teachers' needs for productive subjects did in fact still not be met by LPTK and become increasingly difficult to meet due to teachers earning the required majority has not been organized by LPTK. The need for truly productive teachers perceived as an obstacle difficult to solve in the area. For that, the necessary alignment between demand with the supply of teachers by utilizing the model teacher's certification activities and cooperation between LPTK with Non LPTK with Local Government done with synergize the availability of customize and can be generated LPTK teacher and scholar who produced non LPTK but the field of knowledge in accordance with the requirements SMK.

Abstract

This reseach aims to study how to improve the student competence by implementation of project work learning method . Specifically this research aims to study the percentage of mastery learning on automotive body practice lecture .This research used PTK ( Classroom Action Research ) and was performed two cycles . The research was conducted in the Mechanical Engineering Department at PTK UNS PTK with 7th semester students . And the student took a course automotive body practice. The number of the student was 34 person. Data was collected by a test or tests of competence . Analysis of the data used descriptive qualitative analysisThe results shows that student competence’s increase in automotive body practice learning. From two cycles , there has been an increase in from 72.85 to be 77.24 . In the second cycle to 70.01 . While the percentage of students who have not passed are also increasing . From 11.8 % to 2.9 % . In the second cycle of 0% .
