Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine: 1) the effect of the brand image, brand equity, and brand trust against the decision of selecting the State University of Malang, 2) find the solution in resolving problems arising from the brand image, brand equity, and brand trust the State University of Malang.This study is explanation research. The study population was a student University of Malang academic year of 2014. The research sample number of 170 students and is taken by using Proportionate Random Sampling technique. Data collection through questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).Research results show that: 1) brand image and brand trust does not significant affect positively on student's decision in choosing the State University of Malang, while brand equity and significant positive effect on student's decision selecting State University of Malang, brand image, brand equity, and brand trust simultaneously have the effect of 45% of the student's decision in choosing the State University of Malang. Some solutions to strengthen the image of the State University of Malang, among others: a) conduct a more vigorous promotion again in the schools at the senior high school  and vocational school, b) the alumni there  are already successful or able to show themselves as alumni of State University of Malang, c) lecturers should be able to show his work, d) all of the institutional component should have a high productivity, e) manage and improve the network of information technology better, f) public leadership needs to be improved, and g) the name of the State University of Malang indeed need to be changed to make it more marketable. Keyword: brand image, brand equity, brand trust, student behavior, student decision

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate the improvement of learning creativity and entrepreneurial motivation through the implementation of the scientific approach of Project Based Learning model with audio-visual media on the Craft and Entrepreneurship subject matter of the Students in Grade X Accounting 3 of State Vocational High School 2 of Jiwan, Madiun Regency.This research used the classroom action research with the descriptive qualitative and quantitative method (mixed method). Its objects were the students as many as 36 in Grade XI Accounting 3 of the aforementioned school. The data of research were collected through observation, in-depth interview, field note, questionnaire, and documentation.The result of research shows that the implementation of the scientific approach of PjBL model with audio-visual media creates an effective and exciting learning, improves the students? critical thinking skill to solve problems and motivates them to create creative ideas in learning and craftsmanship so that in the long-term, it improves their entrepreneurial motivation. Based on the questionnaire, the students? learning creativities also improve following the implementation of the scientific approach of PjBL model with audio-visual media. Prior to the treatment, their average percentage is 73%, and following the treatment, it becomes 89%. In addition, their entrepreneurial motivation also improves. Prior to the treatment, the average percentage is 73%, and following the treatment it becomes 87%. The statistical calculation of the significance value (2-tailed) shows that the value of t-test is 0.000. It is less than 0.050 meaning that H0 is rejected. Thus, there is a significant difference of average score of leaning creativity and entrepreneurial motivation prior to the treatment (pre-test) and following the treatment (post-test). Keywords: Scientific approach, Project Based Learning, Audio-Visual, Learning Creativity, Entrepreneurial Motivation

Abstract

The objectives of research: (1) to find out the establishment of industrial center to develop Barongan Dhadak Merak Reyog Mask Handicraft Business with One Village One Product approach in Ponorogo Regency, (2) to find out the implementation of entrepreneurship education for the crafters to develop Barongan Dhadak Merak Reyog Mask Handicraft industry in Ponorogo Regency. The method employed was qualitative one. The data sources employed were informant, archive and document, place, event and activity. Techniques of collecting data used were in-depth interview, observation, and document and archive recording, with purposive snowball sampling technique. Data validation was carried out using data source and method triangulations. Technique of analyzing data used was interactive model including: data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing or verification. This study concluded that: (1) the establishment of industrial center to develop Barongan Dhadak Merak Reyog Mask Handicraft Business with One Village One Product approach was conducted by uniting the stakeholders involved in OVOP approach to Barongan Dhadak Merak Reyog Mask Handicraft industry in Ponorogo Regency, including academicians/educators (A), businessman (businessperson/employer crafter) (B), government (G), and (2) the implementation of entrepreneurship education was still in adequate for the crafters in Barongan Dhadak Merak Reyog Mask Handicraft industry in Ponorogo Regency because this education only focused on skill and training.Keywords: Industrial Center Establishment, Developing Business , One Village One Product approach.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a learning model based on cooperatives school in state senior hight school of Surakarta City. This study is the development of previous research by Borg and Gall. It passed 9 stages, include: (1) research and collecting information, (2) planning, (3) development of preliminary form of the product, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) main product revision, (6) main field testing, (7) operational product revision, (8) operational field testing and (9) final product revision. Validation of products involved experts, i.e. the materials experts, learning model experts and practitioners of cooperatives and economic subject teachers. The focused group discussionwas conducted by the Economics teachers who teach in tenth grade. Testing the cooperative learning model school-based cooperative was conducted on students of tenth grade in three schools, namely SMAN 6 SKA, SMAN 7SKA and SMAN 8 SKA. Results of the study are in form of: (1) The cooperative learning model which is needed in state senior high school in SurakartaCity, (2) design of school-based cooperative learning model, (3) the school-based cooperative learning model is valid, (4) the effectiveness of school-based cooperative learning model, and (5) learning model for cooperative learning development efforts in state senior high school of Surakarta.The results of this study include determining the cooperative learning model needed in state senior high school of Surakarta, producing a draft of school-based cooperative learning model, result a validschool-based cooperative learning model, determining the effectiveness of school-based learning model and resultingcooperative learning model for development efforts of cooperative learning in state senior high school of Surakarta. The use of school-based cooperative learning can improve students understanding about the cooperative and improve the students? awareness about the role of cooperatives and schoolcooperative. Key words: model of learning, development research, state senior high school of Surakarta.

Abstract

?SMP Terbuka? or Open Junior High School is an formal education that applying the concept of independent study which is allocated for school age children who had undergone resistance that make them was not possible to follow education in Regular Junior High School. The learning process in Open Junior High School was totally different with Reguler Junior High School since the condition of almost students in Open School have worked to help their parents. However, standard competence graduates (SKL) and curriculum in Open Junior High School was same as in Reguler Junior High School. The other problem is Lack of ability teachers in Open Junior High School in making an learning media that interesting. This study is purposes to improve the ability of teachers in SMP Terbuka Kemusu and SMP Terbuka Wonosegoro in making an learning media with Prezi software. The result of this study showed that been increasing in the ability of teachers in SMP Terbuka Kemusu and SMP Terbuka Wonosegoro in making an learning media with Prezi. Abstract

The purpose of this research is 1) to develop media based learning catalog valid for improving student learning outcomes and 2) to know the effectiveness of media based learning catalog quick to improving student learning outcomes on economic subject in the SMA N 5 Surakarta. This research is research method and development (R&D). Data collection techniques are used observation, interview, questionnaires, test and document.                                                                               The result of development of research based instructional media catalog create more effective learning, and motivate students create creative ideas in learning can improving student learning outcomes. Catalogue-based learning media posttest results of the economic value of the learning outcomes of students of class XII S2 and XII S3 between class control and class experiments showed that the average posttest control group is 79,22 while the average posttest experiment class is 82,66. Once in the t-test analysis using IBM SPSS 21 software obtained significance value of 0,019 > a (0,05), which showed that H1 results of experimental class better than the control class with significant differences. Based on the results of the learning outcomes of economic value posttest control class and experimental class also analyzed by t-test formula. Price t obtained from posttest control class and experiment class is 2,404 with a price t table is 1,999. Thus t price > t table, means an increasing in economic class student learning outcomes experiment better than the control class. This shows that media-based learning catalog results further enhance the development of the economic value of student learning outcomes compared with no use of instructional media as before. The conclusion of this research is based instructional media valid catalog for increasing learning results and based instructional media effective catalog for increasing the results learning. Keywords: Development, Catalog, Media, Outcomes Learning

Abstract

 The objective of this research was to investigate the difference effect between the TGT cooperative learning model assisted Smartgapoly interactive media (MPK-TGT Smartgapoly) and the direct learning model (MPL) on learning achievement in Accounting viewed emotional intelligence. This research was an quasi experimental with nonequivalent pretest and posttest control-group design. The population of research was the students in Grade X of Business and Management Department, State Vocational High School 1 Karanganyar as many as 7 classes. The samples of research consisted of 2 classes. The data were analyzed by using the two-way analysis of variance and was continued with the Scheffe test. The findings showed that: (1) there was a difference effect between MPK-TGT Smartgapoly and MPL on learning achievement in Accounting; (2) there was a difference effect of the high, moderate, and low emotional intelligence on learning achievement in Accounting; and (3) there was an interaction between MPK-TGT Smartgapoly and MPL with emotional intelligence on learning achievement in Accounting. Keywords: Teams Game Tournament, direct learning, Smartgapoly, learning achievement in Accounting, emotional intelligence

Abstract

The objectives of this research are as follows: (1) to produce the demonstration method-based Archival Management learning material; and (2) to investigate the effectiveness of the demonstration method-based Archival Management learning material to improve the students? learning achievement.This study used the demonstration-based research and development (R&D) method. The measure (syntax) used in this research was the one claimed by Sugiyono. The subjects for the field experimentation were the students as many as 38 of the Study Program of Office Administration, the Faculty of Economics, State University of Malang, Offering( Class) R of 2011, who were taking the course of Archival Management. The data of research were validated by three experts, namely: textbook expert, language expert, and learning material expert.The development of learning material for the demonstration method-based Archival Management uses the R&D model claimed by Sugiyono. Its characteristics are as follows: it uses chart images, pictures or photos which resemble archival articles/materials/devices/equipment so that the students are easy to study the learning materials on the main topic of discussion of Incoming and Outgoing Mail Handling, and Archival Systems of Mail Numbers and Dates. The result of questionnaire validations by the textbook, language, and learning material experts shows that the average percentage is 95%, meaning that in general the learning material of Archival Management is valid or can be used effectively. The students? pre-test score is 68.05. Following the application of the developed learning material, the average score becomes 80.63. This proves that the use of the demonstration method-based Archival Management learning material can effectively improve the students? learning result. In addition, the result of hypothesis testing i.e. zero hypothesis (Ho) which reads ?The use of the demonstration method-based Archival Management learning material in the teaching and learning process is worse than or similar to the other learning methods in improving the students? learning result.? is rejected. This research is a quantitative research. This research is categorized in descriptive method type survey. The population of this research is entrepreneur or worker batik in Kampoeng Batik Laweyan. The data collection was done using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. The data gathering technique was done using quisionaire and documentation. The hypotehsis evaluation was done using Path Analysis by SPSS 17.0 obtained by a the following result: (1) intellectual capital have effect on direct to competitive advantages, (2) intellectual capital have effect on to marketing performance indirectly through competitive advantages, (3) innovation have effect on directly to competitive advantages, (4) innovation have effect on to marketing performance indirectly through competitive advantages, (5) market orientation have effect on directly to competitive advantages, (6) market orientation have effect on to marketing performance indirectly through competitive advantages, (7) entrepreneurial orientation have effect on directly to competitive advantages, (8) entrepreneurial orientation have effect on to marketing performance indirectly through competitive advantages, and (9) competitive advantages to have effect on directly to competitive advantages. Keyword: Competitive Advantages, Marketing Performance, Kampoeng Batik Laweyan
