Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purposes of this study were: (1) determine the level of degradation which occurred in rice fields used brick mining in Salaman district (2) determine the level of productivity of paddy in rice field in Salaman District (3) determine the handling priority of rice field used brick mining in Salaman District (4) determine the implementation of land degradation in rice fields used brick mining in Geography learning in class XI of Senior High School.This study used qualitative methods with survey as the type of research. The approach used was spatial. The unit of analysis is a unit derived from an overlay of the Land Use Map, Soil Map, Slope Map, and excavation depth data, with the result was 10 land units. The technique of soil sampling used purposive sampling while the technique of respondent sampling was stratified purposive sampling. The techniques of data collection were field observation, interview, and documentation.The results of this study were: (1) Rice field degradation class in Salaman District consists of medium degraded land, which is 870.9 Ha (40.6%) on land units Sw-LC-I-0 and Sw-LC-I-30; low degraded land area, which is480.6 Ha (22.4%) on land units Sw-KLMK-II-0, Sw-KLMK-II-30, Sw-ACK-I-0, and Sw-ACK-I-30. (2) The decreasing of productivity between the origin land and the used brick mining land in the land units Sw-ACK-I-0 with Sw-ACK-I-30 worth of 281 kg/Ha, as well as on land Sw-LC- I-0 with Sw-LC-I-30 worth of 2597.4 kg/Ha. (3) Handling priority of rice field after brick mining in Salaman District consists of first priority on land units Sw-ACK-I-0, Sw-ACK-I-30 and Sw-LC-I-0, which is 1033.7 Ha (48.2%); Second priority on land units Sw-KLMK-II-0, Sw-KLMK-II-30, and Sw-LC-I-30, which is 317.7 Ha (14.8%). Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose of this research was (1) To know the landslide type in Karangsambung District, (2) To know distribution of  landslide hazard level in Karangsambung District, and (3) To know disaster mitigation is that done due landslide in Karangsambung District. This research used spatial description with survey method. The results show that (1) Landslide type in Karangsambung Subdistrict which consist of four types, those are falls, topples, slides, and flows. (2) The level of landslide hazard in Karangsambung subdistrict consist on two class of hazard and distribution as follows: (a) Class II is a high potency of landslide hazard whose large 3.290,92 hectares or 42,14 % and (b) Class III is enough high potency of landslide hazard whose large 4.518,22 hectares or 57,86 %. (3) Disaster mitigation landslide that done techniques and vegetatively by type of landslide include falls, topples, slides, and flows. Keywords: Landslide Hazard Level and Disaster Mitigation

Abstract

ABSTRACT Fajar Pramono. The Simulation of Land Use for Reducing Water Use Index in Sub-watershed Cacaban Karanggayam District Kebumen year 2013 (The Implementation for Teaching  Material Supplement for the Basic Competence Analyzing the Relationship between Human and  Environment as a Result of Hydrosphere Dynamics Class X Semester 2). Thesis, Teacher Training and Education Faculty Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. August 2014. The purposes of this study were to (1) determine the influence of the land use dynamics on water use index in Sub-watershed Cacaban year 2001 and 2013, (2) determine the land use simulation for reducing water use index in accordance with the function of sub-watershed Cacaban area, (3) determine the implementation of land use simulation results to reduce water use index in sub-watershed Cacaban Karanggayam District Kebumen year 2013 as a teaching materials supplement on the basic competence analyzing the relationship between human and environment as a result of the hydrosphere dynamics class X semester 2.This research was a descriptive study using combined approaches (quantitative-qualitative), and was designed using survey method. The population in this study was a unit of land in Sub-watershed Cacaban. The sampling technique was proportioned sampling and purposive sampling. The techniques of data collection were observation, documentation, interview, and laboratory testing. The techniques of data analysis to determine Water Use Index was done by comparing the availability of water based on Water Balance Thornwaite-Mather method and water needs based on Murtiono model, then the researcher did the simulation of the changing of land use based on the land function for reducing Water Use Index.The results showed that (1) Sub-watershed Cacaban, a change in land use was quite high during the 12 years from 2001 to 2013, especially in the use of dry land and garden, Water Use Index in Sub-watershed Cacaban for 2001 was 0.87 whereas in 2013 was 1.02. Based on the Regulation of Director General of Land Rehabilitation and Social Forestry about Monitoring and Evaluation Guidelines for Watershed No. 4 year 2009 Water Use Index Sub-watershed Cacaban in 2001 were classified into moderate with the range of values of 0.5-1, and the Water Use Index in 2013 were classified into bad since the value more than 1. (2) The application of simulated instruction of land use can reduce water needs, the reduction of water needs during one year were -1,039,661.9 m3/year. Therefore, by applying water needs after simulation can reduce the Water Use Index into 0.34 (from 1.02 to 0.68), and classified into moderate category. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to find out distribution of Primary Health Care at Sukoharjo regency in 2011.This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with spatial approach. This research used the accidental sampling. Purposive sampling is used to select a sample of respondents to be interviewed about the quality of service of Primary Health Care. Data collection techniques using observation, interview and documentation. The analysis technique used is the analysis of primary data, secondary data and cross tables.The results of this study are Primary Health Care in Sukoharjo totaling 67 units consisting of 12 Puskesmas and 55 Puskesmas Pembantu . Quality of Primary Health Care at Sukoharjo regency in 2011 consisted of Puskesmas in Sukoharjo consists of 4 centers with excellent quality, 7 health centers with good quality and 1health center with enough quality. Quality of Puskesmas Pembantu consists of 12 center with excellent quality, 35 health centers with good quality and 8 health centers with sufficient qualit. The visitor of Primary Health Care in Sukoharjo consisted of Puskesmas belonging to high class with the most number of visits to Puskesmas Kartasura is that 53,296 people (14.46%). Puskesmas Pembantu were included in the high-class with the most number of visits is a health center II Kartasura the 36,615 inhabitants (8.62 %). The level of accessibility in Sukoharjo in 2011 consisted of a wide range of leading health service consisting of waiter reach Puskesmas and Puskesmas Pembantu outreach , with each subdistrict in Sukoharjo Year 2011. The adequacy of the Primary Health Care that has been fulfilled is the District Tawangsar.Keywords :Distribution, Primary Health Care

It was done within 2 cycle and each of them had 4 phases, that was planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subject was 32 students who sit in the X grade of social class in even semester at Senior High Scool 7 Surakarta, 2013/2014 academic year. Data collection technique being used in this study were : observation, documentation, questionnaire, and test. Data analysis technique being implemented was comparative descriptive analysis. The research outcome shows that (1) the implementation of authentic assessment is able for increasing student spatial ability on geography in human relationship and environment as the effect of hidrosphere dynamics material in X social grade at Senir High School 7 Surakarta on the second cycle. This could be seen from the attainment of spatial ability was more than 75%. On the secn cycle the amount f spatial ability were : comparation 84%, heirarki 78%, aura 79%, transition 78%, dan association 86% (2) the implementation of authentic assesment was able for increasing the students learning outcome on geography in human relationship and environment as the effect of hidrosphere dynamics material in X grade social at Senior High School 7 Surakarta on the second cycle. It could be seen from the accession of achievement indicator was more than 75% on the second cycle. The degree of accomplishment of the cognitive learning outcome on the second cycle was 81.25%. The degree of accomplishment of the affective learning outcome on the second cycle was 78.1%. The degree of accomplishment of the psychomotor learning outcome on the second cycle was 93.75%. Keywords : Authentic Assessment, Spatial Ability, Learning Outcome.

Abstract

 ABSTRACTThis study aims to: (1) knowing distribution of refill water depot at Jebres District, Surakarta Region, (2) knowing refill water quality microbiologicaly at Jebres District, Surakarta Region, (3) knowing factors which effect distribution of refill water depot at Jebres District, Surakarta Region.     This research uses descriptive study with a spatial approach. Primary data obtained through field surveys, and secondary data obtained through documentation. The sampling technique used was saturation sampling technique that sample is according in its object totality which represents all characteristic oof data. Test the validity of the data using triangulation techniques.Based on the results of the research can be summed up into three (1) 4 from 37 depot had contaminated E.Coli and Total coliform, such as : refill water depot Sumber Agung at Mojosongo Village, refill water depot Gunung Mas at Jebres Village, refill water depot Anugerah Tirta at Jebres Village, and refill water depot Langgeng at Jagalan.(2)Distribution of refill water in Jebres District, Surakarta Region has 37 refill water depot, Mojosongo Village has large number of distribution with 17 amount of refill depot, then Jebres Village with 13 amount of refill water depot. Jagalan Village has 2 refill water depot, Purwodiningratan and Sudiroprajan, Sewu and Pucang Sawit only has  1 refill water depot. (3) Refill water distribution in Jebres District, Surakarta Region in 2014 has b een effected by spatial structure such as: Mojosongo, Jebres, Pucang Sawit, Jagalan,Sewu, Gandekan, Purwodiningratan dan Sudiroprajan. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to : (1) Find out the influence of education toward land conservation understanding, (2) Find out the influence of income toward land conservation understanding, (3) Find out the influence of education toward farmers participation in land conservation, (4) Find out the influence of income toward farmers participation in land conservation, and (5) Find out the influence of land conservation understanding toward farmers participation in land conservation.  This research employs Correlational Survey method. The variables of this research are: education (X1), income (X2), land conservation understanding (X3), and farmers participation in land conservation (X4).  The population of this research are all farmers in Bulukerto Sub District. The sampling method used in this research are multistages and random sampling method. The data of this research were collected through interview and questionaires. The data were analyzed by applying statistical analysis of multiple linear regressive analysis and path analysis.The findings of this research are : (1) That there is significant direct influence between education and land conservation understanding, with amount of influential contribution of 7, 45 %. (2) That there is direct significant influence between income and land conservation understanding, with amount of influential contribution level of 7, 84 %. (3) That there is significant direct influence between education and farmers participation in land conservation, with amount of influential contribution of 7, 67 %. (4) That there is direct influence between income and farmers participation in land conservation with amount of influential contribution of 6, 2 %. (5) That there is significant direct influence between land cnservation understanding and farmers participation in land conservation, with amount of influential contribution of 10, 3 %. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of research was to find out the improvement of geographical learning outcome by applying Make a Match method with Google Earth media in basic competency of earth surface formation process in the X-b graders of MAN Ngrambe, Ngawi Regency in the school year of 2013/2014.This study employed a Classroom Action Research approach. The data sources in this study were (1) the X-b graders of MAN Ngrambe of Ngawi Regency as the subject of research, consisting of 23 students, (2) the teachers assuming geography subject in X-b grade, in which the data was obtained concerning the learning outcome of students before treatment, (3) document or archive concerning the data of the X-b graders of MAN Ngrambe of Ngawi Regency, and (4) the event concerning the application of make a match method with google earth media during the application process. Techniques of collecting data used in this study were: (1) documentation, (2) observation, and (3) geographical learning outcome test. Technique of analyzing data used was descriptive qualitative analysis.Considering the result of research, it could be concluded that the application of Make a Match learning method with Google Earth media could improve the geographical learning outcome in basic competency of earth surface formation process in the X-b graders of MAN Ngrambe, Ngawi Regency in the school year of 2013/2014. It could be seen from the increasing mean score of geographical learning outcome. Before the research, the mean score of students was 70.5. After the implementation of cycle I, the mean score increased to 74.5. The students attained the minimum passing standard (70) increased from 69.5% or 16 students. After the implementation of cycle II, the mean score increased to 79. The students achieving the minimum passing standard (70) increased to 82.6% or 19 students.  Keywords: make a match, google earth, learning outcome.

Abstract

Farida Tri Surya K. Penggunaan media visual dan audiovisual Pembelajaran Geografi dalam meningkatkan Hasil belajar dan kinerja guru kompetensi dasar permasalahan Kependudukan di SMP Negeri 20 Surakarta Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013, Skripsi. Surakarta : Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Sebelas Maret, Maret 2013. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar dan kinerja guru dengan menggunakan media visual dan audiovisual pembelajaran geografi kompetensi dasar permasalahan kependudukan di SMP Negeri 20 Surakarta tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti dan guru. Obyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII H SMP Negeri 20 Surakarta dengan jumlah siswa 26 siswa, yang terdiri dari 14 siswa laki-laki dan 12 siswa perempuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus, yang tiap siklusnya terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar dan didukung instrumen berupa angket dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa ada peningkatan hasil belajar dari survei awal ke siklus I dan siklus I ke siklus II. Peningkatan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar dari tes survei awal ke tes siklus I sebesar 21,54. Peningkatan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar dari tes siklus I ke tes siklus II sebesar 7,50. Secara keseluruhan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar tes survei awal, tes siklus I dan tes siklus II adalah 48,08; 69,62 dan 77,12. Peningkatan kinerja guru ditandai dari peningkatan nilai modus 2 ke 3 atau dari baik ke sangat baik. Indikator peningkatan kinerja guru tersebut berupa aspek sikap mengajar, metode mengajar dan penggunaan media.

SOCIETY PERCEPTION TOWARD THE DEGREE OF LAND SUITABILITY GINGER PLANT (CURCUMA XANTHORRIZA ROXB) IN SUBDISTRICT SALAMAN, MAGELANG REGENCY in YEAR 2014 (As Implementation of Geography Learning on Standard Competence: Giving Example of Wise Act in Using Natural Resources on Agriculture Field, XIth Grade Senior High School). Thesis. Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty. Sebelas Maret University. August 2014.The research purposes are to know: (1) The degree of land suitability ginger plant in Salaman subdistrict; (2) Society perception toward the degree of land suitability ginger plant in Salaman subdistrict; (3) Landing location of potential area to cultivate ginger plant in Salaman subdistrict; and (4) Implementation study of society perception toward the degree of land suitability ginger plant for Geography learning in XI grade SMA.This is a qualitative research using survey terms, which is analyzed as descriptive using spatial approach. The data are taken from primer and secondary sources using observation, laboratorial analysis, interview and documentary technique. Area sample is 40 units taken from Purposive Sampling technique, and respondent sample is 80 respondents from Stratified Purposive Sampling technique. Data validity use triangulation technique. Data analysis use compatibility, scoring and comparison table method. Research procedure was done systematically and be related to each other.Based on the research?s result, the conclusions are stated as follows: (1) The degree of actual land suitability are class: S2 in eh border factor is 1,93 Ha wide; S3 in oa, eh, rc, and  xc border factor is 38,71 Ha wide; and N is 13,72 Ha wide. The degree of potential suitability are class: S2 in eh and oa border factor is 17,15 Ha wide; S3 in eh, rc, and xc border factor is 23,50 Ha wide and N is 13,72 Ha wide. (2) Society perception toward the degree of land suitability ginger plant in land suitability class: S2 is Low; S3 is Medium; and N is Medium. (3) Landing location of potential area to cultivate ginger plant in Salaman subdistrict consists of three priorities, priority A, priority B and priority C. (4) Implementation of this study for Geography learning at XI grade SMA can be used as learning material and learning media on standard competence: giving example of wise act in using natural resources on agriculture field, which is expected to improve the aspect:affective (interested in study and positive act); cognitive (thinking ability); and psychomotor (practice ability) from students.   Keywords: ginger, land suitability, society perception, and Geography learning
