Abstract

The purpose of this study was to: (1) To investigate the effect of adding MyGreenOil premium on fuel consumption on a motorcycle Honda City Sport 1 of 2008. (2) To investigate the effect of using CDI Dual Band on fuel consumption on a motorcycle Honda City Sport 1 of 2008. (3) To investigate the addition MyGreen Oil interaction in the premium fuel and the use of CDI Dual Band on fuel consumption on a motor bike Honda City Sport 1 of 2008 .The method used in this study was experimental, with a 3x3 factorial design and quantitative approaches. The population in this study was the Honda City Sport 1 of 2008. Samples were Honda City Sport 1 of 2008  with  engine  number  JBA1E  -  1035903.  Experiment?s  data  collecting   was  conducted  in  the laboratory  of  Mechanical  Engineering  Education  JPTK  FKIP  UNS.  Samples  were  taken  by  using purposive sampling technique. Data obtained from the measure and record the time required to spend as much as 50 ml of fuel at 4000 rpm engine speed. Data retrieved by taking 3 times replication, thus we were  able  to  get  a  number  of  27  data.  Techniques  of  data  analysis  in  this  study  was  using   two-way analysis of variance, after the  multiple comparison  test or post-test  ANOVA  using Scheffe test,  which first tested the pre-requisite test for normality and homogeneity tests. The normality test was using the Lilifors test and the homogeneity test was using the Bartlett test.Based on the results of the data analysis it can be concluded that: (1) There was a significant effect of the addition of MyGreen Oil premium on  fuel consumption Honda City Sport 1 of 2008 .  (2) There  was a significant effect of the use of Dual Band CDI for motorcycle fuel consumption Honda City Sport 1 of 2008.  (3) There was a  joint effect (interaction) MyGreenOil significant additions in the premium and the use  of  Dual  Band  CDI  for  motorcycle  fuel  consumption  Honda  City  Sport  1  of  2008 .  (4)  Fuel consumption is lowest when MyGreenOil addition of 1 ml with the use of CDI Dual Ba nd on curve II which amounted to 0.00446 ml / cycle.

Abstract

The purpose of the study as to identify the effectiveness of Micro Teaching Course Readiness Program Field Experience Student PTM class of 2010 , Sebelas Maret University. This study includes qualitative and quantitative research . The research used descriptive method. The population which used PTM students who have exhausted Micro Teaching Course and Field Experience Program . Samples were taken with a proportional random sampling technique , that is PTM student class of 2010 . The technique of collecting data using questionnaires and interviews . Trials conducted a questionnaire to 25 students PTM class of 2009 . Test the validity of the data using product moment correlation test and reliability test using alpha formula . The technique of data analysis in this research is using descriptive analysis. The results of the research indicate that: (1) Mental readiness is in high category, this case showed in the indicator of self confidences with a percentage of 45.45%, optimism with 45.45%,  responsibility with 52.27%, and realistic with 68.18%. That?s all makes in high category. (2) Emotional readiness is in low category, this is shown on the scared and angry category, which each obtain a percentage of 45.45%, fault with 50.00%, and  love with 63.64% of which are entered in the low and high category. (3) Motives readiness categorized as high, as shown by the indicator purpose percentage gain of 40.91%, encouragement  with 36.36%, and 38.64% for the conditioning of which are entered in the high category. (4) Readiness of knowledge included in the category with the acquisition of a high percentage of 63.64%. (5) Skills Readiness  in general including the high category, such as indicators of basic literacy skills in middle category with a percentage of 47.73%, technical skills are also in the category with a percentage of 38.64%. While interpersonal skills and solve problems including the high category, respectively get the acquisition percentage of 50.00% and 52.27%. The conclusions of this research are the effectiveness of Micro Teaching Lectures to readiness Field Experience Program includes aspects of mental readiness, emotional, motives, knowledge, and skills.

Abstract

The result of this research shows that the usage of water electrolizer and the fuel heating use 3 finned copper tubes in the upper tank of radiator can reduce the highest level of exhaust emission. On the normal condition, Toyota Kijang has 2.981% CO exhaust emission and 192.667 ppm HC. In the usage of water electrolizer can reduce the highest level on exhaust emissions of CO and HC in the engine of Toyota Kijang. The different of CO  exhaust emission is 0,84 % volume or 28 % while the HC exhaust emission is 24,334 ppm volume or 13 %. In the usage of fuel heating use 3 finned copper tubes in the upper tank of radiator can reduce the highest level on exhaust emissions of CO and HC in the engine of Toyota Kijang. The different of CO  exhaust emission is 2,54 % volume or 85 % while the HC exhaust emission is 139,667 ppm volume or 72 %. In the usage of water electrolizer and the fuel heating use 3 finned copper tubes in the upper tank of radiator can reduce the highest level of exhaust emissions of CO and HC in the engine of Toyota Kijang. The different of CO  exhaust emission is 2,648 %  volume or 89 % while the HC exhaust emission is 140 ppm volume or 73 %. The conclusion of this research is the usage of water electrolizer and fuel heating using three copper tubes with the range between the fins is 10 mm in the upper tank of radiator can reduce the highest exhaust emission on the machine of Toyota kijang 1989.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the bending characteristics of composite sandwich cantula fiber using a cardboard core thickness variation of type BC - flute. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The research began with the manufacture of sandwich composite material then the material given bending test using a Universal Testing Machine (UTM). Bending testing refers to ASTM C-393 which would result in another calculation, the bending stress and shear stress core face. Face is composed of a fiber composite cantula as filler, Unsaturated Polyester resin as a binder BQTN-EX Yucalac 157, and Metyl Etyl Ketone Peroxide (MEKPO) as a catalyst. Core uses cardboard type BC - Flute compiled by PV Ac - Fox with a thickness variation of 10 mm, 20 mm, 30 mm, and 40 mm. Epoxy adhesive using Versamid 140. The results showed that the thickness variation affects the bending stress composites, core shear stress and bending stress face. The addition ofthe composite thickness resulting impairment the composite bending stress, core shear stress and facing bendingstress. The highest average value occurs at a thickness of 10 mm with a core voltage of 17,47 MPa composite bending, shear cores of 0,75 MPa, and face bending stress of 18,84 MPa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara Pengalaman Praktek Kerja Industri Dengan Minat Bekerja di Industri Mahasiswa Angkatan Tahun 2008  Pendidikan Teknik Mesin FKIP UNS Surakarta Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012, (2) Untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara Prestasi Belajar dengan Minat Bekerja di Industri Mahasiswa Angkatan Tahun  2008  Pendidikan Teknik Mesin FKIP UNS Surakarta Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012, dan (3) Untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara Pengalaman Praktek Kerja Industri dan Prestasi Belajar dengan Minat Bekerja di Industri Mahasiswa Angkatan Tahun  2008  Pendidikan Teknik Mesin FKIP UNS Surakarta Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kampus V Pabelan Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik  Mesin FKIP UNS  yang  beralamat di Jalan Ahmad Yani 200 Kartasura, Surakarta. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pendidikan teknik mesin angkatan 2008 sebanyak 89 orang. Sampel diambil dengan teknik  random sampling sejumlah 70 orang dan instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan penyebaran angket atau kuisioner. Uji coba dengan responden 30 orang. Dalam uji validitas instrument digunakan rumus product moment. Selanjutnya untuk uji Reliabilitas instrumen digunakan rumus Alpha. Teknik analisis data digunakan teknik  analisis korelasi product moment pearson dan teknik  analisis regresi linier ganda, namun sebelumnya perlu dilakukan pengujian prasyarat analisis yang meliputi : (1) uji normalitas, (2) uji linieritas dan keberartian regresi, dan (3) uji independen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat diambil kesimpulan yaitu, (1) terdapat hubungan positif antara pengalaman praktek industri dan prestasi belajar dengan minat bekerja di industri pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Mesin angkatan 2008 FKIP UNS. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil analisis regresi dua prediktor yang memperoleh Fregresi 7,042 lebih besar dari Ftabel pada taraf signitifikansi 5% dengan db (2;67) = 3,14. (2)  Terdapat hubungan positif antara pengalaman praktek industri dengan minat bekerja di industri pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Mesin angkatan 2008 FKIP UNS. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil analisis korelasi yang memperoleh rhitung sebesar  0,377  lebih besar dari rtabel = 0,235 pada taraf signifikansi 5%. (3) Terdapat hubungan positif antara prestasi belajar dengan minat bekerja di industri pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Mesin angkatan 2008 FKIP UNS. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil analisis korelasi yang memperoleh  rhitung sebesar  0,283  lebih besar dari rtabel = 0,235 pada taraf signifikansi 5%. (4) Variabel pengalaman praktek industri memberikan sumbangan relatif sebesar 69,4% dan sumbangan efektif 12,1%. Variabel prestasi belajar memberikan sumbangan relatif sebesar 30,6% dan sumbangan efektif 5,3%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are: (1) to investigate the effect of repair welding on cast wheel Aluminium with MIG welding method by preheating treatment on hardness. (2) to investigate the effect of repair welding on cast wheel Aluminium with MIG welding method by preheating treatment on the level of toughness. (3) to investigate the effect of repair welding on cast wheel Aluminium with MIG welding method by preheating treatment on microstructure photo. (4) to compile the results of this research into the study of teaching material welding engineering courses in mechanical engineering education program majoring in technical and vocational education in faculty of teaching and science education, UNS Surakarta. The testing was conducted in LKP Inlastek Surakarta, Politeknik Manufaktur Ceper, Klaten and in the laboratory techniques S-1 UGM Yogyakarta. This research that the used MIG welding method with preheating treatment. The temperature as used in preheating is 121oC. The population in this research is all of wheels using aluminium alloy. The sample in this study is the cast wheel aluminium alloy. The research is an experimental researchand data analysis using descriptive analysis techniques to directly observe experimental results and then analyze and summarize the results of research. The test performed include: testing of material composition, toughness testing, hardness testing, and microstructure. Based on the results of this study concluded that (1) the composition of cast wheels are Al-7,22%Si. (2) the weld toughness test results (0,049 J/mm2) lower than before welding (0,077 J/mm2). This suggests that the welds more brittle than the raw material. (3) the hardness test results showthe raw material area are 466,26 BHN, the HAZ area are 550,31 BHN, and the welding area are 455,03 BHN. (4) the images show the distribution of the metal microstructure of Al and Si is more evenly distributed in the weld area and raw material but the weld metal grains smaller than raw material.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve the thinking creativity and the learning result of the students in Grade X of State Vocational High School 2 of Surakarta in the subject matter of Technical Mechanics II through the use of the Cooperative Learning Model of the Think Pair Share type.This research used the classroom action research with three cycles. Each cycle included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of research were the students as many as 32 in Grade X of TPM B of State Vocational High School 2 of Surakarta. The data sources of research were a teacher and students. The data of research were collected through in-depth interview, observation, documentation, and test.Validated by using the construct one. The item analysis used the computer program of Iteman 3.00. The data were analyzed by using the descriptive comparative model of analysis in the forms of percentage and mean ideal.The results of this research show that the application of the Cooperative Learning Model of the Think Pair Share type can improve the students? thinking creativity. Prior to the treatment, the percentage of the students? thinking creativity is 30.41%. Following the treatment, it becomes 54.63% in Cycle I and 80.52% in Cycle II respectively. The indicators of thinking creativity include fluency, flexibility, elaboration, sensitivity, originality, novelty, and use of new approach use. The application of the cooperative learning model of the think pair share can improve the students? learning result. Prior to the treatment, the percentage of the students? learning result is 71.87%. Following the treatment, it becomes 81.25% in Cycle I and 87.50% in Cycle II respectively. Prior to the treatment, the learning result score average is 74.60. Following the treatment, it becomes 76.75 in Cycle I and 81.05 in Cycle II respectively. Thus, the application of the Cooperative Learning Model of the Think Pair Share type can improve the thinking creativity and the learning result in learning the subject matter of Technical Mechanics II of the students in Grade X of State Vocational High School 2 of Surakarta in Academic Year 2014/2015.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know: (1) The Correlation Teaching Experience with Performance of Teacher?s;(2) The Correlation The Teacher's Perception in Respect of Principal's Leadership with Teachers Performance;(3) The Correlation Teaching Experience and Teacher?s Perceptions In Respect Of Principal Leadership Simultaneously with Teacher?s Performance;(4) A Stronger Correlation between The Teaching Experience and Teacher?s Perceptions of Principal Leadership with Teacher?s Performance. The population of this research were the teacher?s of private vocational school as much as 199 teacher?s in Boyolali district. The sample of this research were 60 teacher?s and respondents for the trial were 35 teacher?s. Sampling study uses proportional random sampling technique. Data collection uses questionnaire for variable of teaching experience, teacher?s perceptions of principal?s leadership and teacher?s performance. To test the validity, the reseach used product moment approach. While, Alpha formula was used to test the reliability of the instrument. Analysis of data was used analytical of Pearson Product Moment correlation techniques. The reseach needs to be done requirements analysis testing before, namely: (1) Normality Test, (2) Linearity Test, (3) Multicollinearity Test. The results show: (1) There is a positive and significant correlation of  teaching experience with teacher performance. It is based on the results of the first hypothesis test with the product moment correlation analysis rcount> rtable (0.551> 0.254) at the 5% significance level, (2) There is a positive and significant correlation of  in respect of principal leadership and teacher?s performance. It is based on hypothesis test results both with the product moment correlation analysis rcount> rtable (0.495> 0.254) at the 5% significance level, (3) There is a positive correlation of teaching experience and teacher?s perceptions in respect of principal leadership and teacher?s performance. Based on the results of hypothesis testing with multiple correlation analysis of the obtained results Fcount> Ftable (24.495> 3.159) at the 5% significance level, (4) The effective contribution of 26.1% of teaching experience and teacher?s perceptions of principal leadership 20.1%. This results indicate that the association of teaching experience and teacher?s performance is stronger than the correlation the teacher?s perception of the principal's leadership and teacher?s performance.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to investigate effect of number of blades on a non-twisted blade wind turbines type airfoil NACA 4415 on the electrical power generated. Experimental study is used on this research. The sample was Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (HAWT) with non-twisted blades airfoil NACA 4415. There were three variation of the number of blades those were the number of blades of two, the number of blades of three, and the number of blades of four. Wind speed variation used in this study was 2.5 m/s, 3.5 m/s, and 4.5 m/s. The data collected by conducting test of HAWT by using artificial wind, electric power generated was read and recorded by data logger. The data from the research was put into the table and shown in the form of graphic, then analyzed. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that there was an effect of variation of the number of blades toward electrical power of wind turbines. Three blades HAWT produced the biggest electrical power that was 0.7222 W with 4.5 m/s of wind speed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigated the effect of additing bioethanol  inside premium gasoline against power, the effect of using iridium spark plugs against power, the effect of additing bioethanol  inside premium gasoline and the used of iridium spark plugs against power, the effect of additing bioethanol  inside premium gasoline against gas emissions, the effect of using iridium spark plugs against gas emissions, the effect of additing bioethanol  inside premium gasoline and the used of iridium spark plugs against gas emissions, and the measure of comparison between bioethanol with gasoline that optimum and safe to daily/long term used in Yamaha Mio J motorcycle year 2012 with injection engine. Based on the results of this study, obtained results as follows: (1) There is effect of additing bioethanol levels in gasoline and the used of iridium spark plugs, against 2012 Yamaha Mio J Model?s power and the gas emissions of it?s injection engine on default condition from the factory. (2) Addition of bioethanol levels showed higher levels of bioethanol were added due to the resulting engine power is getting low. The maximum and significant decline occurred in 50% mix of bioethanol content. The power value is achieved 7.38 of HP, occured a decline in the power value by 13.97% from the standard conditions. (3) The use of iridium spark plugs at all bioethanol treatment levels, only shows the change in the average decline of 0.075 HP when compared with the use of a standard spark plug at all bioethanol treatment levels. (4) In addition of bioethanol levels, the higher levels of bioethanol were added, the CO and HC exhaust emissions produced by the engine was lower. The decrease in CO and HC exhaust emissions occurred in 50% mix of bioethanol content and the values were achieved at 0.25%, and 51.5 ppm, occured impaired CO and HC exhaust emissions respectively at 15.67% and 39.05% in standard conditions. (5) In addition levels, the bioethanol blend in with the used of premium fuel and iridium spark plugs, a significant decline in the power value occurred in the treatment?s provision in the form of the iridium spark plugs used and  40% bioethanol and 50% mix levels, the rated power achieved is 7.9 HP and 7.28 HP. Occured on both these treatments impaired the power of 7.93% and 15.15%. (6) In addition levels of bioethanol blend in with the used of premium fuel and iridium spark plugs, a significant decline in the value of CO exhaust emissions occurred in the treatment?s provision in the form of the iridium spark plugs used and  0%, 40%, and 50% mix levels, the rated value of CO exhaust emissions achieved is 0.235%, 0.216%, dan 0.204%. On third these treatments impaired the value of CO exhaust emissions of 21.67%, 28%, dan 32%, when its compared with standard conditions. While the HC exhaust emissions, a significant reduction in the value of emissions occur in the treatment by using iridium spark plugs and the using of 30%, 40%, and 50% mixture bioethanol content, which is equal to 54.75 ppm, 45.75 ppm, and 42.25 ppm. On third these treatments impaired the value of HC exhaust emissions by 35.21%, 45.86%, and 50%, when its compared with the standard conditions.
