Abstract

The purpose of this research are: (1) Investigate the effect of installation the electromagnet on the fuel lines and the use of Ignition Booster on the spark plug wires with a variation location of the exhaust emissions gas of CO and HC on Jupiter Z motorcycles. (2) Investigate the exact value of the levels of exhaust emissions gas HC and CO on a motorcycle Jupiter-Z with the installation of the electromagnet on the fuel line, and Ignition Booster on the spark plug wires with variations location of installation. The research method used was experimental method. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Mechanical Engineering Education Program FKIP UNS Surakarta. The tools used to measure the exhaust emissions gas of CO and HC was a gas analyzer (STARGAS 898 TYPE). The research population were a motorcycle of Yamaha Jupiter Z 2007 and the sample was motorcycle of Yamaha Jupiter Z 2007 with machine numbered 2P2675042. The Data Analysis used in this research was two-way analysis of variance. Based on the results of research were: (1) There was significant effect between the electromagnet winding wire diameter to the reduction of exhaust emissions gas CO with amount of 1.712% vol, used electromagnet winding wire diameter of 0.20 mm, while those using electromagnetic winding wire diameter of 0.30 mm amount 1.738% vol. (2) There was significant effect between the electromagnet winding wire diameter to decrease HC exhaust emissions gas with amount of 377 ppm using electromagnet winding wire diameter of 0.20 mm, while those using electromagnetic winding wire diameter of 0.30 mm amount 359.6 ppm. (3) There was significant effect between the installation of Ignition Booster to the reduction of exhaust emissions gas CO with the lowest amount of 1.529% vol, using treatment Ignition Booster installation near the spark plug. (4) There was a significant effect between the installation of Ignition Booster to the reduction of exhaust emissions gas of HC with the lowest amount of 476 ppm, using treatment Ignition Booster installation near the spark plug. (5) There was significant effect between the electromagnet winding wire diameter and location of installation Ignition Booster to the reduction of exhaust emissions gas CO with the lowest amount of 1.476% vol, using a treatment installation of winding wire diameter of 0.30 mm and Ignition Booster near the spark plug. (6) There was significant effect between the electromagnet and the winding wire diameter, location of installation Ignition Booster to the reduction of exhaust emissions gas of HC with the lowest amount of 211.3 ppm, using a treatment installation of winding wire diameter of 0.30 mm and Ignition Booster near the spark plug.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are: (1) To know the effect of CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) roller weight to torque on Yamaha Mio Sporty 2007, (2) To know the effect of variation of engine rotations to torque on Yamaha Mio Sporty 2007, (3) To know the effect of interaction between CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) roller weight and variation of engine rotations to torque on Yamaha Mio Sporty 2007. The research used experimental methods and the types of quantitative research. Data of analysis used two-way analysis of variance (Anova), which is the prerequisite tests previously performed tests of normality (Liliefors test) and tests of homogeneity (Bartlett test), then performed multiple comparison tests (Scheffe test) is done. Based the research can conclude that: (1) There are an effect of  CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) roller weight to torque on Yamaha Mio Sporty of 2007. (2) There are an effect of variation of engine rotations to torque on Yamaha Mio Sporty 2007. (3) There are an effect interaction between CVT (continuously variable transmission) roller weight and variation of engine rotations to torque on Yamaha Mio Sporty 2007. Maximum torque is 3.95 N.m, obtained from CVT roller weight 8.5 gr with  engine rotations at 6000 RPM.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate:(1) Influence the use of water injection to exhaust gas emissions level of CO and HC on Honda Supra Fit2006 motorcycle. (2) Influence of variations the diameter of injector on the water injection to exhaust gas emissions level of CO and HC on Honda Supra Fit2006 motorcycle. Based on experimental result can be concluded: (1) The using of water injection gave the effect to exhaust gas emissions level of CO and HC on Honda Supra Fit2006 motorcycle. There is a positive effect on CO emissions because the use of Wa-I 21G has CO levels decreased by 1.901% and the use of Wa-I 23G  has CO levels decreased by 1,920%. Whereas for HC emissions there are negative effect on the use of Wa-I 21G has HC levels increased by 1236 ppm and the use of Wa-I 23G has HC levels increased by 1140 ppm. (2). The diameter of hypodermic needle as water injector gave the effect to exhaust gas emissions. There is a difference of exhaust gas emissions level of CO and HC when using Wa-I system with the 21G and 23G injector type. Based on the results of measurements, the use of Wa-I 21G produce levels of CO 0.019% higher than Wa-I 23G, whereas on HC emissions the use of Wa-I 21G produce levels of HC 96 ppm higher than Wa-I 23G.

Abstract

The objectives of research are (1) This classroom action research conducted aims to improve student learning outcomes in the fuel system lesson in Class XI Motorcycle Engineering SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo. Subjects of the research amounting 29 are students of Class XI TSM-3 SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo Year2 011/2012. (2) The research uses alearning method demonstration, data validity is examined by using triangulation and member check. The class action research uses path of spiral model, it is conducted in 3 cycles. (3) Before the action cycle, preliminary data showed students are less active in teaching and learning activities. This is evident from the replay value is executed before the study, which is only 65.51 % of students who meet their repetitive KKM value of 29 students.This classroom action research to improve learning outcomes by using the method of demonstration has increased. It can be seen from the observations made in the affective, psychomotor and cognitive.In the first cycle increased to 68.96 %,75.86 % second cycle becomes, and the third cycle into 86.20 % of students who meet the KKM value of the number of 29 students.Conclusion the research is a demonstration of the application of learning methods can improve student learning outcomes in subjects Class XI fuel system TSM - 3 SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are: (1) To investigate fuel consumption and exhaust emissions (CO and HC) on motorcycles Supra X 125 R in 2009 that use LPG fuel. (2) To analyze the use of LPG fuel to fuel consumption and exhaust emissions (CO and HC) on motorcycles Supra X 125 R in 2009. Based on this research can be conclude: (1) The test results of 3 kg LPG to a distance of 250 km at a price of Rp. 15 000. While the use of premium fuel, a liter of premium with the price of Rp. 5000 to a distance of 55 km so that for a distance of 250 km requires 4.55 liters at a price of Rp. 22 750. Thus, the use of LPG fuel save money Rp. 7750. (2) The results gas emissions levels of CO 0,025 % and gas emissions levels of HC 2274 ppm. Still under standard exhaust emissions limits released by the ministry of the environment number 05 in 2006. (3) The use of LPG fuel in the motor Supra X 125R in 2009 can?t be directly applied, because the Supra X 125R is a motorcycle with a premium fuel engine character. Changes must be done on the carburetor is to change the size of the pilot jet to # 118 and a # 200 main jet for LPG stoichiometri AFR 21: 1.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are (1) to improve the learning?s activity of students on class X TPBO C SMK Negeri 4 Sukoharjo 2014/2015 academic year on the subject of Basic Automotive Electrical Engineering and (2) to improve the students achievement of students on class X TPBO C SMK Negeri 4 Sukoharjo 2014/2015 academic year on the subject of Basic Automotive Electrical Engineering using animation media. This classroom action research consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consisted of action planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subject were students of class X TPBO C SMK Negeri 4 Sukoharjo 2014/2015 academic year. The data sourced of the research derived from the productive teacher, the head of the administration and the students of class X TPBO C SMK Negeri 4 Sukoharjo 2014/2015 academic year which obtained through observation, documentation, interview and test. The data analysis used was comparative descriptive analysis. The result of the research showed that (1) the application of animation media in the learning process can improved learning activity of students class X TPBO C SMK N 4 Sukoharjo on the subject of Basic Automotive Electrical Engineering. The indicator of students enthusiasm followed the learning process there was an increased from 52.01% on cycle 1 to 81.85% on cycle 2. The indicator of student courage to answer the teacher questions there was an increased from 47.58% on cycle 1 to 81.45% on cycle 2. The indicator of the student more confident to speak in front of class there was an increased from 63.30% on cycle 1 to 85.88% on cycle 2. The indicator of student courage to make an opinion increased from 64.51% on cycle 1 to 90.72% on cycle 2. The indicator of student work on the test with their own increased from 75.80% on cycle 1 to 91.12% on cycle 2. (2) the application of animation media in the learning process can improve the student achievement of student on class X TPBO C SMK Negeri 4 Sukoharjo on the subject of Basic Automotive Electrical Engineering. The lowest score increased from 55 on cycle 1 to 70 on cycle 2. The highest score increased from 90 on cycle 1 to 95 on cycle 2. The average score of class increased from 75 on cycle 1 to 85.33 on cycle 2. The conclusion of this research was the application of animation media can improved students activity learning and students learning achievement on subject of  Basic Automotive Electrical Engineering students of class X TPBO C on SMK N 4 Sukoharjo in 2014/2015 academic year.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve learning achievment  and learning participation of student learning on the study the Teknologi Mekanik in class X Mesin 1 SMK Pancasila Surakarta through the application of the model Team Game Turnament (TGT). This research is a classroom action research (CAR). The results show that through the application of the model Team Game Turnament (TGT) can improve learning achievment  and learning participation of pre-cycle to cycle I and II. The learning process in the pre-cycle using the conventional model so that the students' learning and paticipation lower. The increase occurred in the first cycle a value of students who achieve mastery in the pre-cycle as much as 40.44% increase to 70.07%. Furthermore, on the second cycle increased to 92,59%. For the participationly of students in the observation sheet increased from pre-cycle by 48,14% to 74,08% and the second cycle increased to 92,59%. The conclusions of this research is the application of the Team Game Turnament (TGT) can improve learning achievment and participation of students of class X Mesin 1 SMK Pancasila Surakarta.

Abstract

The research use approach corelation quantitative. While, method is used statistik inferensial. Research place in the SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta. The population are all of student grade XI Teknik Kendaraan Ringan SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta lesson year 2011/2012, 92 student. Then,  sample is 73 student. Sampel take technic is  random. The research use instrument questionnary, documentation and observation. Data analysis use  regresi analysis and path  analysis. The research find that(a) The negative relationship between library completeness with reading interest; (b)Thepositiverelationship between reading interest with automotive electrical study achievement; (c)The positive relationship between school library completeness with automotive electrical study achievement; (d) The positive impact directly between school library completeness toward reading interest student; (e) The positive impact directly between reading interest toward automotive electrical study achievement; (f) The positiveimpact directly between libraray completeness toward automotive electrical study achievement; (g) The positiveimpact non-directly between school library completeness toward automotive electrical study achievement pass reading interest.

Abstract

The aim of this research is: (1) to improve student?s activity by applying Quantum Teaching model and Mind Mapping method for teaching standard competence of working with lathe machine at class XI TP 1 SMK Murni 1 Surakarta in 2013/2014 academic year, (2) to improve student?s achievement by applying Quantum Teaching model and Mind Mapping method for teaching standard competence of working with lathe machine at class XI TP 1 SMK Murni 1 Surakarta in 2013/2014 academic year. This research was Classroom Action Research. The subject was class XI TP 1 SMK Murni 1 Surakarta in 2013/2014 academic year which consist of 27 students. This research was applied to teach standard competence of working with lathe machine. This research was conducted in two cycles. In every cycle, there were four stages: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. Data was taken using observation sheets, interviews, test, and documentation. The validity of data was using triangulation. The validity of instrument was using the validity of construct and content. The quantitative data was processed by using descriptive percentage. The data from the observation was analyzed to describe student?s and teacher?s activity during the learning process. The result of this research showed that by applying the Quantum Teaching model and Mind Mapping method can improve student?s activity and achievement. Before applying Quantum teaching, student?s activity in pre-cycle (26,3%). After applying Quantum Teaching student?s activity in cycle I (65,6%) and in cycle II (83%). Student?s mastery in pre-cycle (14,81%), cycle I (51,9%) and cycle II (81,5%). Student?s average score in pre-cycle (48,81), cycle I (68,6) and cycle II (78,9). The conclusion of this research is by applying the Quantum Teaching model and Mind Mapping method improve student?s activity and achievement in standard competence of working with lathe machine at class XI TP 1 SMK Murni 1 Surakarta in 2013/2014 academic year.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to investigate the effect of mold temperature variations on the flash formation and weld line, the mold temperature resulting in the rearview mirror case product with optimal quality on the injection molding process of the polypropylene globalene 7533 (PP) plastic product by using simulation software and on injection molding machine.  The correspondence between the simulation of the software and the production application in industry on injection molding process for the design of mold temperature of injection molding process of the polypropylene globalene 7533 (PP) plastic product.This research used the descriptive quantitative. The samples of the research were the rearview mirror cases of PS135. The data of the research were gathered from simulations by using the software of Autodesk Inventor 2013 with the mold temperature parameters of 20oC, 30oC, 40oC, 50oC, 60oC, 70oC, 80oC, and 90oC. They were then entered into a table, displayed in the form of graphs, and analyzed.The results of the research are as follows the mold temperature influences the flash formation and weld line, The parameter which is optimal for the injection molding process based on the measurement with the software of Autodesk Inventor 2013 prevails and on the injection molding obtained through the use of machine of HAITIAN HTF 160X exists at the mold temperature of 20oC. The result of simulation by using the software of Autodesk Inventor 2013 is the same as that of the process on the actual injection molding machine.
