Abstract

Social skills taught by teachers to students at school are very important to be applied as early learning before plunging into social life in the community and work later. This research aims to produce a new product in the form of an evidence-based social skills assessment instrument VSA (Video Self Assessment) using Borg and Gall's research and development (R&D) method which has been modified into 7 research steps. The data collection resulted from filling out the google form for social skills assessment instruments by students in the form of quantitative data then analyzed qualitatively by describing the data results and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the development of applied social skills assessment instruments can make it easier for students and teachers to assess social skills based on concrete evidence and are categorized as very appropriate to use

Abstract

This study aims to share the contribution of arm muscle strength and trunk flexibility to roll-kip performance in floor gymnastics in students of the Sports Coaching Education Study Program, Cenderawasih University. The background of the study was based on significant variations in roll-kip performance among students, allegedly due to reduced arm muscle strength and trunk flexibility. The research method used a quantitative correlational approach with a sample of 40 students selected purposively. Data were collected through push-up tests (arm muscle strength), trunk lift extension tests (torso flexibility), and roll-kip performance assessments by instructors. Data analysis used SPSS for correlation and multiple regression tests. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between arm muscle strength (r = 0.800; p < 0.05) and trunk flexibility (r = 0.796; p < 0.05) with roll-kip performance. The combined contribution of both variables was 73%, with trunk flexibility having a more dominant influence (1.663) than arm muscle strength (0.401). The conclusion of the study emphasizes the importance of training both aspects in a balanced manner in a floor gymnastics training program to improve performance in performing transition movements such as roll-kip.

Abstract

Learning is a key process for success; therefore, its implementation must be constructed comprehensively, including the media used in its execution. The need for healthy food, as a primary necessity, must be instilled in students. This process can utilize instructional videos as a medium to provide students with knowledge about healthy food, which may influence their attitudes in choosing healthy food. This study employs a quantitative approach, using a questionnaire as its instrument, consisting of 30 questions distributed to 120 students at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Wuluhan, Jember. Data analysis was conducted using the PLS model with path analysis. The results show that instructional videos have a significant effect, with a p-value of 0.022 < 0.05. However, the knowledge variable, as an intervening variable, does not have a significant effect on the attitude variable, with a p-value of 0.275 > 0.05. Similarly, the instructional video variable does not have a significant direct effect on the attitude variable, with a p-value of 0.984 > 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of audio-visual learning media in improving students' understanding of sports physiology in Physical Education programs. The research employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach, involving 35 students who were taught using audio-visual learning media. Data were collected through pretest and posttest assessments, as well as student response questionnaires. The results showed a significant increase in students’ scores, with the average score rising from 60.86 in the pretest to 76.29 in the posttest, indicating an improvement of 15.43 points or approximately 25.4%. Additionally, questionnaire results revealed that most students responded positively to the use of audio-visual media, stating that it made the learning process more engaging, interactive, and easier to understand. This suggests that audio-visual learning media is effective in enhancing learning outcomes and student motivation in sports physiology courses. Although this study has limitations due to the absence of a control group, it provides valuable insights into the potential benefits of integrating technology-based media in physical education curricula.

Abstract

Masalah yang menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini adalah 1). Dalam memberikan latihan lay up guru masih monoton dalam menggunakan metode latihan. 2). Siswa kurang antusias dalam menerima materi latihan lay up. 3). Pembelajaran menjadi membosan karena metode latihan yang diterapkan oleh guru monoton. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPN 1 Cigugur Kabupaten Kuningan yang tergabung dalam unit kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bola basket yang berjumlah 20 orang. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu : 1). Metode latihan lay up dengan menggunakan rintangan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil lay up dalam permainan bola basket siswa peserta ekstrakurikuler SMP Negeri 1 Salem secara signifikan. 2). Metode latihan lay up tanpa menggunakan rintangan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil lay up dalam permainan bola basket siswa peserta ekstrakurikuler SMP Negeri 1 Salem secara signifikan. 3). Metode latihan tanpa menggunakan rintangan lebih berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil lay up dalam permainan bola basket siswa peserta ekstrakurikuler SMP Negeri 1 Salem secara signifikan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the physical condition of each futsal player at SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo; this was to provide an overview to the coach regarding the physical condition of each individual. This research method uses a descriptive method to reveal facts in the field; the sample of this study consisted of 33 futsal players at SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo. The results of this study are from 33 futsal players who have been tested and measured. All players fall into the category of lacking in VO2Max conditions, strength, speed and reaction speed. This study concludes that the tests and measurements gave the coach a basic picture of the player's physical condition. Hence, the coach needs to be careful in choosing and sorting out training programs to improve the physical condition of futsal players.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of the basic manipulative movement of the underhand serve of a mini volleyball using the TaRL method for fourth grade students at SD Negeri Pucangsawit Surakarta. Using the TaRL method, namely learning that is divided into different levels starting from easy, medium, and difficult level. As well as students choosing their own learning according to their abilities aims to provide self-motivation for students because students can compete with friends who have the same abilities, and achieve the final goal at difficult level learning, and for students will be directed to a mini volleyball game which is modified after passing difficult level. This research is a class action research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were fourth grade students at SD N Pucangsawit Surakarta, totaling 29 students consisting of 16 boys and 13 girls. Sources of data come from teachers, students, and researchers. Data collection techniques using data triangulation techniques. Data analysis uses a comparative descriptive technique by using techniques to see trends that occur in learning activities. The results of the data analysis can be summarized as follows: learning outcomes for the basic manipulative movement of serving under mini volleyball, pre-cycle seen from the psychomotor aspect, 21% complete, cognitive 15% complete, affective 100%, cycle I psychomotor 45% complete, cognitive 41% complete, affective 100%, and cycle II psychomotor 83%, cognitive 81%, affective 100% complete. Based on these three aspects there was an increase of 45% complete pre-cycle, 62% complete first cycle, and 88% complete second cycle. Based on the results of the data analysis above, it can be concluded that the use of the TaRL method can improve learning outcomes for the basic manipulative movement of the underhand mini volleyball in class IV students at SD Negeri Pucangsawit Surakarta

Abstract

The research problem is that learning badminton, which varies with the development of smash skills, cannot be optimally applied to fifth grade students at SD NEGERI Karangwuluh 01, Tegal Regency. This study aims to determine the results of improving smash skills in badminton games for fifth grade students at SD NEGERI Karangwuluh 01 Tegal Regency through the playing approach of throwing shuttlecocks. This research is Classroom Action Research. The research subjects were 32 students in class V. The action research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle with two meetings, each meeting lasting 105 minutes. Data were taken by researchers and collaborators using instruments in the form of observation sheets observing student participation and performance tests of students doing badminton smashes. The results of the student active participation assessment and student performance test results will be analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis in the form of percentages. While the field notes were processed into meaningful sentences and analyzed descriptively qualitatively, including: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that the action by playing throwing the shuttlecock approach which was carried out in 2 cycles with a total of 4 meetings, was able to improve the ability to smash badminton. This increase includes the learning atmosphere and the development of student badminton smashes. During the learning process, there is an increase in the activeness of student learning, enthusiasm for activity from students, and feelings of pleasure from students in participating in learning activities. In addition, it was also seen that there was an increase in the development of student badminton smashes which were included in the good and very good categories. Abstract

This thesis is based on the author's observation of one of the supporting factors in long jump sports, which is the explosive power of the leg muscles. This sport requires optimal explosive power of the leg muscles to achieve the best jumping results. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the Time Control Speed Strength (TCSSM) training method and the plyometric training method, as well as the differences between these two methods, on the improvement of leg muscle explosive power in the long jump athletes of PPLP West Java. The research method used in this study is the Two Group Pretest-Posttest Design experiment. The sample consists of 8 long jump athletes from PPLP West Java, selected using the total sampling technique and divided into two groups: the TCSSM group and the plyometric group. The instrument used in this study is the standing broad jump test. Based on the data processing and analysis, both TCSSM and plyometric training methods have a significant influence on the improvement of lower leg explosive power in the long jump athletes of PPLP West Java. However, considering the overall study, the plyometric training method showed better results in improving leg muscle explosive power in long jump athletes. Therefore, it can be concluded that the plyometric training method has a more significant impact compared to the Time Control Speed Strength training method on the improvement of leg muscle explosive power in the long jump athletes of PPLP West Java. The author suggests further research on plyometric training to enhance leg muscle explosive power using different methods or systems within plyometric training, based on what the researcher has already explored regarding its effects on enhancing leg muscle explosive power.
