Abstract

Abdominal Stretching Exercise is one of the non-pharmacological therapies in the treatment of dysmenorrhea in adolescents, which can interfere with learning activities and indirectly affect the productivity and quality of life of adolescents. The incidence of dysmenorrhea in Indonesia is 64.25%. Based on the researcher's initial survey with 20 respondents at SMKN 3 Raha, 6 of them experienced dysmenorrhea in the mild pain category, 7 people experienced moderate pain, 1 person experienced severe pain, and 6 people did not experience pain during menstruation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Abdominal Stretching Exercise on pain intensity in class XI students who experienced dysmenorrhea at SMKN 3 Raha, Batalaiworu sub-district, Muna district in 2016. This type of research is pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was 75 people, with the technique of sampling by accidental sampling, with a total sample of 19 people. The method of analysis used the Paired sample t-test statistical test. The results showed that there was a significant effect of Abdominal Stretching Exercise on the intensity of pain in female students who experienced dysmenorrhea. This can be seen from the value of the Statistical Test (p = 0.000) < (0.05), which shows a significant difference. It is hoped that nurses will continue to socialize the provision of Abdominal Stretching Exercise in reducing pain during menstruation which is felt by women as an independent nurse action.

Abstract

Toddlers are one of the groups that are vulnerable to nutritional status problems. Toddler period is a period of rapid growth and development, so it is often termed a golden and critical period. On the other hand, if toddlers at this time do not get food according to their nutritional needs, the golden period will turn into a critical period which will interfere with the toddler's growth and development. Good nutritional status is health status resulting from a balance of intake and needs. Parameters of nutritional status can be done by anthropometric measurements, biochemical examination, and anamnesis nutritional history. This type of research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method. The population in this study were all toddlers who experienced malnutrition and malnutrition, totaling 109. The total sample for the mung bean porridge treatment group was 26 toddlers and the biscuit control sample was 26 toddlers. The results of the paired t-test showed that the P value of 0.000 had the effect of giving mung bean porridge and biscuits to improve the nutritional status of toddlers. The results of the regression test showed that there was a relationship between after treatment and before treatment in the green bean porridge and biscuit group. The results of the independent test showed that there was a difference between body weight and body length before and after treatment for toddlers. It is hoped that the Mokoau Health Center and the Benu-benua Kendari Health Center will be able to use the results of this study as information and consideration in increasing awareness of toddlers with nutritional status problems.

Abstract

Breast cancer (Carcinoma mammae) is a malignant neoplasm of parenchyma origin. Every year as many as 12 million people worldwide suffer from cancer and 7.6 million of them die of cancer. Southeast Sulawesi Province is one of the provinces in Indonesia with a high number of breast cancer cases. Southeast Sulawesi Province 128 cases. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of breast cancer in the Oncology Polyclinic, Bahteramas General Hospital, Southeast Sulawesi. . This type of research is quantitative research with a case control approach design. The case population was all breast cancer patients at Bahteramas General Hospital, Sultra totaling 26 cases from the period May - July 2018. The number for the case sample was 21 people and the control sample was 21 people, the sampling technique used simple random sampling. The analytical test used is the Chi odds ratio. The results of the analysis using the Odds Ratio test obtained conscious behavior (OR = 8,000), Odds Ratio (OR) = 19,200, exposure to information, Odds Ratio (OR) = 10,625 intake of fatty foods, Odds Ratio (OR) = 16,095, Obesity Odds Ratio (OR) = 10,625, stress Odds Ratio (OR) = 16,095. It is hoped that the Bahteramas Hospital, especially the Oncology Polyclinic, will be able to use the results of this study as information and consideration in providing services, especially to breast cancer patients.

Abstract

Wasting is the most prominent health problem in poor countries and developing countries whose impact is very large. In 2013, nationally the prevalence of underweight in children under five was still 12.1 percent, which means that the problem of underweight in Indonesia is still a serious public health problem. This study aims to determine the effect of implementing full day school on nutritional status in early childhood education at the Ummusabri Islamic Boarding School Kendari. This type of research is quantitative research with a case control approach design. The population in this study were all participants of the 2018 Ummusabri Islamic Boarding School Kindergarten, which amounted to 114. The number for the case sample was 26 people and the control sample was 26 people. The results of the odds ratio test show that diet is a risk factor for wasting nutritional status (OR). = 5.727 95% CI 1.645-19.942 > 1), environmental hygiene is not a risk factor for wasting nutritional status (OR = 0.494 95% CI 0.125-1.949 <1), learning method is not a risk factor for wasting nutritional status (OR = 3.068 95% CI = 0.982-9.591 <1), the role of the family is a risk factor for wasting nutritional status (OR = 3.889 95% CI = 1.178 – 12.841 >1). It is hoped that Paud Pesantren Ummusabri Kendari can use the results of this study as information and consideration in increasing awareness of children with malnutrition problems.

Abstract

Early marriage not only robs the future of teenagers, but also has a negative impact on health and has an impact on dropping out of school, where 85 percent of girls in Indonesia end their education after they get married. Southeast Sulawesi itself is in the top 10, a province that has the highest number of female adolescent marriages aged (15-19) years. This study aims to determine how early marriage occurs in Oneembute District, Konawe Regency. This type of research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. In this study, adopting the theory of reasoned action as the basis for behavioral theory. The informants in this study consisted of 4 key informants and 9 ordinary informants. the technique of determining the informants used snowball and purposive sampling techniques. To collect data/information using observation techniques, in-depth interviews and documentation. The results showed that the attitude of the informant regarding the age of early marriage was neither a threat nor did it raise awareness of the informant after marriage. This was influenced by the experience of the informant who married early, this is a result of the understanding and knowledge of the informant is still very limited.

Abstract

The existence of Drinking Water Depots (DAM) continues to increase in line with the dynamics of the community's need for quality and safe drinking water for consumption. Drinking water must meet physical, chemical and microbiological requirements. This study aims to determine the quality of Coliform, Fe, pH in Raw Water and Depot Drinking Water in Kendari City. This research is an observational study with a cross sectional study design and was carried out in June - July 2018 in Kendari City. The population in this study were all registered drinking water depots in Kendari City for the January 2018 period, namely 87 depots and a sample of 36 depots with a proportional random sampling technique. Data were obtained using questionnaires and descriptive analysis. The results obtained from 36 depots, the quality of Coliform in Raw Water was mostly 80.6% did not meet the requirements and the quality of Coliform Drinking Water Depot 88.9% met the requirements. Most of the Fe quality in Raw Water, namely 58.3%, met the requirements and the Fe quality in Depot Drinking Water was mostly 86.1%, and the pH quality in Raw Water and drinking water was 100% qualified. The conclusion in this study is that the quality of coliform in raw water is mostly not eligible and most of the drinking water meets the requirements. The quality of Fe in raw water and drinking water mostly meets the requirements and the quality of pH in raw water and drinking water 100% meets health requirements. Suggestions in this study are for the Kendari City Health Office to be able to establish policies in an effort to improve the quality of drinking water depots, especially the quality of microbiology. For the owner of the depot, in order to improve the hygiene and sanitation of the depot so as to minimize the coliform content in the drinking water of the depot

Abstract

The prevalence of overweight in adolescents in the Brother Middle School is 14.1% (exceeding the standard for nutritional problems of 10%), therefore innovation is needed in the form of giving a handbook to overcome the problem of overweight. This study aims to determine the effect of overweight handbook on adolescent weight loss at Brother Kendari Junior High School. This research is a quantitative research (pre-experimental) with a pre-test-post-test design. This research was conducted on May 7 - July 14 2018. The population was all overweight Brothers Private Junior High School students, namely 38 people, a sample of 32 people was obtained by simple random sampling. Carbohydrate intake data collection form 3 x 24 hour recall. The data was measured 4 times and analyzed using the paired T-test. The results showed that the average (mean) intake of KH for adolescents increased, namely before being given the overweight handbook it was 327.0 g, then after being given the overweight handbook, the intake of KH for adolescents was 268.6 g. The average increase in KH intake was 58, 4 gr. The results of the paired T-test on carbohydrate intake obtained p value (0.000) <α (0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of overweight handbook on decreasing carbohydrate intake of overweight adolescents at Brothers Kendari Junior High School. It is recommended for the Brother Junior High School overweight students to always read the overweight handbook and limit foods high in carbohydrates and for the Brother Junior High School students to regularly provide education about limiting carbohydrate intake to overweight sufferers by using a handbook.

Abstract

The prevalence of central obesity has increased, especially in agency employees. Central obesity can cause heart disease, stroke and other degenerative diseases. This study aims to determine the relationship between carbohydrate intake and fat intake with central obesity in agency employees in Kendari City. This research is an analytic study with a cross sectional study design. The study was carried out on June 6-July 31 2018. The population was all employees at the Kendari City Agency in 2018 as many as 1,208 people and a sample of 90 people obtained by proportional random sampling. Data were processed using chi-square test, closeness test and logistic regression test. The results showed that the results of the chi-square test for the relationship between carbohydrate intake and central obesity obtained a p-value (0.000), for the relationship between fat intake and central obesity, a p-value (0.000) was obtained. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between carbohydrate intake, fat intake, fruit intake, vegetable intake, stress, knowledge and physical activity with central obesity and fat intake is the variable most associated with central obesity. It is recommended for the Provincial Health Office and the Kendari City Health Office to be able to determine policies on central obesity control for institutional employees in Kendari City. For institutional employees to regulate their diet by limiting carbohydrate and fat intake

Abstract

The prevalence of stunting in the Bajo Tribe in Wakatobi Regency is much higher than the stunting rate at the provincial level, which is 46.3%. This study aims to analyze the risk factors for stunting in children aged 6-12 months in the Bajo Tribe. The design of this study was a case-control of 44 stunting children and 44 normal children. The sample selection was proportionally random sampling. Factors that were proven to be risk factors for stunting in children aged 6-12 months in the Bajo Tribe were low energy adequacy levels (OR=6.92, 95% CI: 2.10-22.77), adequate energy levels low protein (OR=2.79, 95% CI: 1, 17 6.63), maternal height (OR=3.75, 95% CI: 1.55-9.06). Low birth weight (OR=3.10, 95% CI:1.23-7.79). The most dominant risk factor is a low level of energy sufficiency. The most dominant risk factor for stunting is a low level of energy sufficiency

Abstract

Background : Nutritional status is influenced by several factors, one of which is food intake. If the main consumption is energy and protein, it does not meet the adequacy needed by the body, it will cause poor nutritional status, and if it lasts a long time it will cause poor nutritional status. This condition can also cause a decrease in the immune system. The acceptability of the food served is influenced by two aspects, namely the appearance of the food and the taste of the food. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between food acceptance and the level of energy and protein consumption with nutritional status in the elderly at the Tresna Werdha Social Institution, Minaula Kendari. Methods: This research is a descriptive analytical study with a cross sectional approach with a sample of 49 people. This research was conducted on 10 October – 14 November 2016. The independent variables included food acceptance, energy consumption level, protein consumption level and nutritional status as the dependent variable. Data on food acceptability, level of energy consumption and level of protein consumption were obtained by interview using an organoleptic test form and a 2 x 24 hour recall form, nutritional status data were obtained by measuring height and weight. Results: The study showed that most of the food acceptance was in the good category 89.8%, the energy consumption level was mostly in the sufficient category 69.4%, the protein consumption level was mostly in the less category 67.3% and the nutritional status was mostly in the poor category. normal 75.5%. There is a relationship between food acceptance and nutritional status with a value (p = 0.010), there is no relationship between energy consumption and nutritional status with a value (p = 0.298), there is no relationship between protein consumption and nutritional status with a value (p = 0.140). Conclusion: There is a relationship between food acceptance and nutritional status, there is no relationship between energy consumption and protein consumption with nutritional status
