The use of slang in Instagram social media among teenagers has become a significant phenomenon. This article investigates the factors that influence the use of slang and its impact on adolescents. The results of the study show that the development of the times, the influence of the internet and electronic media have contributed to the spread of slang. The impact of using slang includes expression of positive identity and more intimate communication, but also includes the potential for decreased interest in good and correct Indonesian, ambiguity in official vocabulary, and negative use. In this digital era, it is important to understand the consequences of using slang on social media and how education and awareness about proper language can help young people overcome this challenge.

This research explores the teaching of regional languages using a communicative approach. Language instruction encompasses various aspects, including the nature and function of teaching materials, learning objectives, the selection and development of teaching aids, the creation of learning experiences, instructional media and resources, and evaluation models. The communicative approach in teaching regional languages emphasizes the importance of language as a tool for communication with diverse variations. The primary goal of language instruction is to cultivate proficient communication skills tailored to students' needs in real-life interactions. To achieve this objective, it is crucial to employ authentic discourse materials that enable students to engage in meaningful communicative situations, use language in relevant contexts, and explore various language varieties. Students' learning experiences should also be supported by suitable media and learning resources, including the use of teaching materials that allow students to interact directly with the language being learned. Learning assessments should encourage students to actively practice language skills and stimulate continuous communicative performance. The implementation of the communicative approach in teaching regional languages will lead to an understanding of language as a system for conveying messages with communicative functions. This approach promotes the use of diverse regional language varieties and shifts the focus from language form and structure. As a result, an environment for the use of regional languages can be established or preserved, even as a replacement for the diminishing use of regional languages within families undergoing changes. Thus, the communicative approach in teaching regional languages holds the potential to strengthen and preserve regional languages in the context of cultural diversity.

This research discusses the role of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) in facing the challenges of digitization of broadcast media in Indonesia. KPI has the authority to make broadcast program standards and broadcasting code of conduct and supervise their implementation, including sanctioning violations. In the context of media digitization, KPI's role is crucial in ensuring that television shows do not only display the culture of consumerism, but also provide educational content that is beneficial to society. However, the implementation of digitalization does not come without obstacles. One of them is the readiness of the majority of television viewers who still use analog devices. In addition, there are technical obstacles such as broadcast interruptions and the need for special skills in operating digital devices. Nonetheless, digitization of broadcast media has many advantages, such as efficient use of frequencies and improved picture and sound quality. In facing these challenges, a joint effort is needed between KPI, broadcasters, and the public. KPI needs to continue developing appropriate regulations to support responsible and ethical digitization. In addition, broadcasters must improve their shows to not only follow the trend of consumerism, but also provide content that educates and benefits. Improving human resources in operating digital technology is also important. This research underscores the importance of KPI's role in guiding the transformation of broadcast media into the digital era, while still ensuring that the content presented is useful and in accordance with the values upheld by Indonesian society.

This research focuses on advertising effectiveness by considering three key variables, namely advertising creativity, message quality, and viewing frequency. The main objective of the study is to assess the influence of these advertising effectiveness variables, which include Advertising Creativity, Message Quality, and frequency views, on consumer purchase intention. In addition, this study also aims to identify which variables are dominant in influencing consumer purchase intentions. This study uses the Multiple Linear Regression analysis method with the help of SPSS software version 22.0. The research population consists of students of Universitas Perjuangan who have watched Mi Indomie television advertisements at least 3 times. The research sample consisted of 170 respondents selected using non-probability sampling technique with accidental sampling method, namely by distributing questionnaires as a data collection tool. The results showed that the variables of advertising creativity, message quality, and frequency of ad viewing have a positive and significant influence on consumer buying interest. The results of the analysis also indicate that the advertising creativity variable is the most dominant variable in influencing consumer buying interest. Thus, this study provides further understanding of how advertising effectiveness, especially through improving advertising creativity, message quality, and frequency of ad serving, can increase consumer purchase intention. These findings can be a valuable guide for advertising and marketing practitioners in designing more effective advertising campaigns.

Effective communication management plays an important role in learning. This article discusses effective communication strategies for teachers in learning contexts. The four main components that need to be considered in implementing this strategy include: 1) systematic communication, which includes steps such as pre-communication, presenting information, and closing activities to ensure the message is conveyed well; 2) communication methods for learning, with an emphasis on conveying messages clearly and simply; 3) communication media, which considers the selection of appropriate media for learning purposes; and 4) efficient time management in the communication process. Understanding and implementing these strategies can help teachers increase learning effectiveness, ensure better understanding by students, and better achieve learning goals.

This research discusses the role of media conglomerates in the context of migration policies from analog to digital broadcasts. Media conglomerates often have great influence in the media industry, and migration policies such as these can affect the way information is delivered and accessed by the public. This research analyzes the tendency of media conglomerates to report information that suits their interests, their impact on society, and how they respond to digital migration policies. The political economy of communication theory, especially the concepts of commodification, spatialization, and structuration, is used to explain these dynamics. Some media conglomerates reject the migration policy, considering it a threat to their dominance in the media industry. However, migration policies also open up opportunities for new entrants in the broadcasting industry. In conclusion, it is important to understand how the dynamics of the political economy of the media influence media policies that affect society.

This research investigates communication behavior, both verbal and nonverbal, that occurs in the rehabilitation process for drug addicts at the Rancamaya Mental Hospital. These data are presented in the context of communication between medical staff and residents, and include various aspects of communication such as facial expressions, hand gestures, spatial arrangement (proxemics), use of time (chronemics), clothing, as well as voice characteristics and sound intensity (paralinguistics). The research results show that nonverbal communication plays an important role in building empathy, conveying messages, and creating an effective rehabilitation environment. This research provides in-depth insight into how nonverbal communication influences the rehabilitation process of drug addicts.

This research examines the application of communication patterns in Javanese cultural families and their impact on children's emotional development. Qualitative descriptive methods were used with in-depth analysis of field data. Data was obtained from interviews and observations of 18 families with socio-economic variations. The results show that family communication patterns play a central role in shaping children's emotional development. Authoritarian, permissive, and authoritative/democratic communication patterns were identified as the main patterns. Implementing democratic communication patterns has a positive impact on children's emotional development. Family understanding regarding the relationship between family communication and children's emotional development needs to be improved. The combination of Javanese and modern cultural values and religious life plays an important role in supporting children's emotional development. This research provides an in-depth view of communication patterns and their influence on children's emotional development in the context of Javanese culture. It is hoped that the implications of these findings will help families strengthen positive relationships and support children's emotional well-being in a rich and diverse cultural context. By understanding more deeply about communication patterns in Javanese families and their impact on children's emotional development, it is hoped that this research can provide practical guidance for families in strengthening positive relationships and supporting children's emotional well-being in the unique Javanese cultural context.
