Journal of Mathematics Theory and Applications (J-MATH) merupakan jurnal ilmiah elektronik yang disediakan oleh Program Studi Matematika Universitas Timor. Abstract

A study of the properties of Henstock integral has been carried out. Henstock integral is an extension of Riemann integral. This is because the Henstock integral is built on the concept of Riemann integral, using the Riemann sum over the partition on the domain interval of a function. The difference lies in controlling the partition. On Riemann integral the control of a partition is roled by a constant positive number, whereas on Henstock integral the control of a partition is roled by possitive function. In this final project, we will learn how to construct the Henstock integral based on the concept of the Riemann integral, the properties of Henstock integral with its example and its relationship with the Riemann integral. The result of the study shows that every function that Riemann integrable is Henstock integrable, but it does not necessarily apply conversely.

Abstract

One indicator that can be used as a determinant in the quality of higher education is the academic achievement of students. Grade Point Average (GPA) is a measure of the academic performance. GPA gained students can not be separated from the quality of the incoming student input at the college. This study discusses some of the indicators that can be used as a measure of the quality of student input from the academic side, such as the National Examination (NE), the origin of school (public / private), gender and type of college entrance exam (SNMPTN test, SBMPTN test and independent institution test). Because some of these indicators are qualitative so the data analysis used regression analysis with dummy variables. Research conducted on students of Mathematics Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Timor University, class of 2017 to class of 2021. From the data processing, obtained regression model: . From the data analysis, concluded that the female students of Mathematics Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Timor University, coming from public schools and type of college entrance exam is SNMPTN have the greatest tendency to obtain high GPA compared with other students. In addition, for the regression equation obtained above was 38.2% means that the independent variable in the model can explain the diversity of the GPA of 38.2%.

Abstract

Tofu is a food that is familiar to the people of Indonesia, because it contains many benefits and the price is cheap. One of the tofu production businesses in Timor Tengah Utara Regency is Alfaria's Tofu Business. Since its inception of this factory until 2019, the factory has experienced an increase in the number of production, but since the Covid-19 in 2020, the number of production has became uncertain due to social restrictions imposed by the government. There are many ways that can be done to determine the optimum production number, one of which is by using the Tsukamoto Fuzzy Inference System (FIS). The application of this method aims to provide a solution on how to determine the number of tofu that will be produced based on the number of vinegar and soybean raw materials, the availability of wood as fuel, the number of demand and supply of tofu. Then to determine the level of accuracy of the method used, an error check is carried out by comparing the difference between the predicted data and the actual data using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). Based on the results of calculations with Tsukamoto FIS, the number of tofu that must be produced by the Alfaria Tofu Factory throughout 2021 with an accuracy level of 96.25% is obtained, so it can be concluded that Tsukamato FIS method is very good to be used as a method for predicting the number of production for the Alfaria Tofu Factory.

Abstract

Forest is one of the assets owned by the community around the forest. Forest destruction is a problem for communities around the forest who depend on available forest resources every day for their lives. The purpose of this research is to look at the dynamics of forest resource destruction and its control strategies. The model equation obtained is a system of non-linear differential equations, from the system then fixed point and Jacobi matrix are determined. From the analysis results, seven fixed points are obtained, then the Jacobi matrix is determined from each fixed point.

Abstract

This study aims to increase student activity in learning forest management by utilizing Digital Theodolite in class eleventh grade students of the Forest Rehabilitation and Reclamation Engineering Competency at Nibaaf State Vocational High School in the school year 2022/2023 that conducted by Vocational (Productive) Teachers. This research is an action research (action research). This research was conducted at SMK Negeri Nibaaf, with 17 students as research subjects. This research consists of 3 (three) stages, namely: preparation, implementation, and monitoring. The data collection technique in this study was by observation during the learning activities. The instruments for collecting monitoring data for this activity are questionnaires and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using percentage techniques. The findings of this study indicate that by utilizing the Digital Theodolite it can increase the activity of Nibaaf State Vocational High School students in learning forest management in the odd semester of the school year 2022/2023. Analysis of the results of the monitoring instrument evaluating the results of learning activities achievement in quantitative terms is 89.43 % (category A = Very Good). The average achievement of Student Wellbeing (Student Happiness) before and after learning increased from 42.19 % to be 73.44 percent. (There was an increased 31.25%). Qualitative achievement is 72.19 % (Category B = Good).

Abstract

Assignment problems that are often encountered in local life are problems related to the optimal allocation of various productive resources or personnel that have different levels of efficiency for different jobs. The Hungarian method can be used to solve balanced assignment problems, namely the number of workers is equal to the number of jobs and unbalanced assignments, and namely the number of workers is not the same as the number of jobs. The assignment problem in this study is an unbalanced assignment problem where the number of workers is 90 (ninety) people divided into 4 (four) work teams while the number of work items is as much as 7 (seven) work items. This assignment can be completed by applying a modified Hungarian method with the aim of minimizing work completion time, worker wages and minimizing completion time and worker wages together. From the research results, after using the modified Hungarian method, the optimal total time is 25 days with the optimal total cost of IDR 57,080,000 and the combined completion time and total wages calculated jointly is 87.3.

Abstract

The number of visitors who come to Jabalmart Kefamenanu causes a long queue in front of the cashier. Queuing discipline applied at Jabalmart Kefamenanu is First In First Out, that is customers who come first will be served first. The form of the queuing model in this study at Jabalmart Kefamenanu is a single-phase multi-chanel, namely two or more service facilities and flows through a sibgle line. The purpose of this research is to optimize service at the cashier at Jabalmart Kefamenanu. As for the results of this study, the average service time at each cashier is quite effective because each cashier has a level of service intensity (. That is cashier I level of service intensity () is 0,63, cashier II level of service intensity () is 0,6 and cashier III level of service intensity () is 0,231, it can be concluded that the optimal level of service at the Jabalmart Kefamenanu cashier is quite effective and has been said to be optimal.

Abstract

Knowing the live weight of male Bali cattle is very important to increase the selling price. Meanwhile, the limited ownership of animal scales as a measuring device for live weight means that livestock farmers in remote areas do not maximize the selling price according to government regulations. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the live weight of male Bali cattle and to form the best estimator model through its morphometric measurements. A total of 51 male Bali cattle (2 to 3.5 years old) were used in this study. The results of the study were analyzed and mathematically met the requirements for finding factors that affect live weight morphometrically and forming the best estimating model using the linear regression method. The results of the regression analysis showed that chest circumference (X3), body length (X1) and body height (X2) respectively were factors that greatly influenced the live weight (Y=-255.161+1.253X1+2.148X3+0.033) of male Bali cattle with a coefficient of determination 97.8%, 97% and 96%. The best estimator model for male Bali cattle live weight uses 2 estimating variables, namely body length and chest circumference, namely. This model has a very significant effect ( with a coefficient of determination of 97.9%.

Abstract

Currently there are many emerging independent businesses, such as home industries. Olbetsi Furniture is ahome industry that produces household furniture made of wooden planks such as cabinets, chairs and tables.The purpose of this research is to determine the optimal production using the simplex method and to maximizethe cost advantage in the production of Olbetsi furniture using the simplex method. The method used in thisresearch is descriptive method (case study), namely to find out how to solve problems and calculate theproblems that exist in the Olbetsi furniture business. Data collection techniques used in this study wereinterviews and documentation. The results of this study obtained the maximum profit from the production ofcabinets as much as 6.6667≈7 units, while for the production of chairs and tables it was 0 meaning that it didnot need to be produced, to achieve an optimal profit of IDR 4,100,000.-.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh penjual sirih dan pinang Kabupaten Malaka adalah penjualan sirih danpinang secara terpisah yang lazim dilakukan oleh para penjual sirih dan pinang di daerah lainnya. Strategipenjualan seperti ini menyebabkan keuntungan yang diperoleh para penjual tidak optimal. Tujuan daripenelitian ini adalah memberikan strategi penjualan sirih dan pinang menjadi satu tumpukan atau disebut jugadengan kolaborasi antara sirih dan pinang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metodesimpleks. Hasil yang diperoleh sebelum memberikan strategi penjualan kolaborasi antara sirih dan pinangmenjadi satu tumpukan dan menerapkan metode simpleks, keuntunga yang diperoleh dari penjualan sirih danpinang secara terpisah rata-rata sebesar Rp 2.500.000,00 dalam satu bulan. Setelah memberikan strategipenjualan sirih dan pinang yang dikolaborasikan menjadi satu tumpuka serta menerapkan metode simplekskeuntungan yang diperoleh rata-rata sebesar Rp 4.851.000,00 dalam satu bulan.
