English helps learners provide themselves with knowledge and progress. The Internet is currently the most popular source of information to get the information you need. This can affect the progress of English-speaking children. The researcher's goal in preparing this article is to find the positive and negative effects of learning English for young learners via the Internet. The method used in this study is a case study by interviewing a subject analysis of 25 mothers with children attending Islamic Schools TK Khalifah, TK DWI ASIH 2, and TK CINTA BANGSA. In the interview, mothers are asked about the positive and negative effects of learning English for their children over the internet. As a result of the analysis, learning English to children via the Internet generally has positive and negative effects. This has the positive effect that children are more likely to follow what they hear and see on the Internet. As children pronounce English, they can develop creativity and children can develop an interestin learning English. In other words, the negative effects of learning English over the Internet develop semi-linguisticism in which children cannot master the language to the fullest, impair their psychological development, and children are not fluent in Indonesian. Children tend to like gadgets. As a result, researchers can find the negative and positive effects of learning English for young learners via the Internet.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of social deixis in the film "Avengers" and its influence on character interactions, narrative development, and audience engagement. Social deixis, a linguistic phenomenon involving the use of language to establish social relationships and navigate social contexts, plays a vital role in shaping the dynamics of communication within the Avengers team. By closely examining the dialogue and language choices of the characters, this study aims to identify the types of deixis employed and explore their implications for character development and plot progression. Through a qualitative analysis of selected scenes, the findings reveal the diverse range of social deixis strategies utilized, including personal deixis, honorific deixis, politeness deixis, demonstrative deixis, and more. These linguistic choices contribute to the establishment of power dynamics, the formation of group identity, and the conveyance of emotional and interpersonal nuances. Moreover, they enhance the audience's understanding of the characters' relationships, motivations, and conflicts. This study enhances our understanding of the intricate interplay between language, social interaction, and narrative construction in the context of a popular film franchise. It provides valuable insights into the significance of social deixis in cinematic storytelling and opens avenues for further research in the field of discourse analysis, linguistics, and film studies.

Abstract

This study aims to discover what motivates children with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) to perform academically. In addition, this paper also tries to search viable methods to assist children with ADHD and what factors determine their academic motivation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. The primary focus of this study were children with ADHD and their parents or legal guardians. The techniques used in this research included rigorous observation, interrogation, and documentation based on the notion that the academic motivation of students with ADHD tends to be lower than that of students in with no discernable mental disorder. This is mostly due to three prominent symptoms: hyperactivity, inattention, and impulsivity. Symptoms like these effectively renders them less productive, and children with ADHD requires a specialized approach in nurturing and development, like allocating more attention to detail and being able to handle them patiently without applying harsh or punitive measures as it will affect their mental and psychological state.
