Abstract

One of the factors that influence the occurrence of juvenile delinquency behavior is family. The family process that occurs will affect family members in behaving and behaving. A harmonious family will create happiness for all family members while a family that is not harmonious will create unpleasant conditions between family members and this can create a compensatory reaction for adolescents to carry out delinquency behavior. This study aims to determine the effect of family harmony on the tendency of adolescent delinquency behavior. The research subjects were 181 middle-aged adolescents who lived with their parents. The sampling technique used was the cluster technique. The data were collected using two types of scales in the form of a Likert scale. The first scale is the family harmony scale (r = 0.901) and the second scale is the juvenile delinquency behavior scale (r = 0.939). Analysis of research data using simple linear regression analysis which produces a regression equation Y = 149.84 – 0.645 * family harmony. The coefficient of determination produced is 0.477 (R² = 0.477) so that it can be said that family harmony contributes 47.7% effectively to the formation of juvenile delinquency behavior tendencies. The results of additional analysis showed that there were differences in the tendency of juvenile delinquency behavior based on gender (t = 6,800, p = 0.000), where men had a higher tendency for delinquency behavior than women.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to empirically test the relationship between health locus of control and compliance in rural communities. rural communities who participated in this study. This means the individual's belief that their health is controlled by themselves in relation to the individual's adherence to medical care. The higher the individual's internal control in controlling health, the higher the individual's level of compliance in carrying out medical treatment and vice versa. There is a positive and linear relationship between powerful others HLC and compliance in rural communities who participated in this study. This means an individual's belief that another person (doctor, midwife or family) is in control of their health related to that individual's adherence to medical treatment. The higher their belief that their health is controlled by others, the higher the level of compliance in carrying out medical treatment and vice versa. There is no relationship between HLC chance and compliance in rural communities who participated in this study. Chance, luck, and destiny have nothing to do with individual adherence to medicine. Based on the description of the research data on the internal HLC variables, it was found that the internal HLC average of the research subjects was in the very high category.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of perceptions of job characteristics on the three components of organizational commitment in the civil servants of the Serdang Bedagai Regency Government. This district is one of the new districts in Indonesia and was the best new district in 2008. However, the performance of civil servants in this district is still not good. The results of data analysis using linear regression analysis technique show that the linear equation for the perception variable regarding job characteristics and affective commitment is Y = 12.221 + 0.109X, and the coefficient of determination is 0.118. This shows that perceptions of job characteristics contribute effectively to 11.8% of employees' affective commitment. For the variable perception of job characteristics and commitment to continuity, the resulting line equation is Y = 13,197 + 0.078X, and the coefficient of determination is 0.038. This shows that the perception of the characteristics of the job provides an effective contribution of 3.8% to employee continuance commitment. For the perception variable regarding job characteristics and normative commitment, the resulting line equation is Y = 14,639 + 0.067X, and the coefficient of determination is 0.37. This shows that the perception of the characteristics of the job provides an effective contribution of 3.7% to employee continuance commitment.

Abstract

The prison environment is an environment that limits people's freedom to act. People who are imprisoned lose their freedom. This causes more psychological suffering than corporal punishment and stresses the occupants. One technique that can be used to deal with stress is to use humor. Humor is the capacity to accept or express the amusing (funny) aspects of a situation and is manifested by laughing. Humor can produce positive emotions and is a means of releasing physical tension. Humor and laughter can quickly remove potential sources of pain and stress. This study took a sample of 29 students from Tanjung Gusta Penitentiary. Sampling was done by using random sampling. The measuring instrument used in this study is a stress scale which was compiled by the researcher based on the biological and psychological aspects of stress. This stress scale has a reliability value (rxx) = 0.903. The humor used is Mr. Bean's Holidays. The results of research data analysis using the Independent Sample Test show that humor shows have a significant influence on the stress of correctional students.

Abstract

This study involved 275 adolescents as research subjects. The characteristics of the population in this study were early adolescents aged 12 to 15 years, still in school and had complete parents. Sampling was taken by using multistage cluster random sampling technique. The data obtained in this study with Pearson product moment correlation analysis. The social skills scale is based on the social skills of the academic dimension which include: the ability to adjust at school, comply with school rules, task orientation, academic responsibility, compliance in class, and good students. This scale was compiled by the researcher himself and has been tested beforehand. The results of data analysis showed that there was a very significant positive relationship between perceptions of the role of fathers and the social skills of junior high school students with rxy = 0.412 and p = 0.000. The effective contribution of perceptions of the role of fathers to adolescent social skills is 17%. Suggestions for further researchers who examine social skills should examine other variables related to social skills such as experience gained from the role of mothers, peers, the surrounding community.

Abstract

Tajug Gede Cilodong is the largest mosque in Purwakarta Regency, Tajug Gede Cilodong has its own uniqueness. Because the location where Tajug Gede was founded is in a fairly large prostitution area in Purwakarta Regency. The Tajug Gede Cilodong building is different from the mosques in general in Purwakarta district, because the Tajug Gede Cilodong building is very thick with the values of local Sundanese wisdom. In this study, researchers look for the symbolic meaning contained in the Tajug Gede Cilodong architectural building which is thick with Sundanese values. In addition, the researchers also tried to reveal the message of da'wah as outlined in an architectural building of Tajug Gede Cilodong. Researchers conducted research on the object of the Tajug Gede Cilodong architectural building located in Purwakarta Regency, using Semiotics analysis. This is done to reveal the symbol or meaning of the da'wah message implied in the Tajug Gede Cilodong architectural building. To reveal the da'wah message behind the symbolic meaning in the architectural building of Tajug Gede Cilodong, the researcher uses Roland Barthes' symbolic analysis model which includes denotative, connotative and mythical theories. This study uses a descriptive approach. This kind of paradigm approach is relevant to research on Da'wah Messages in Tajug Gede Cilodong Architectural Buildings. Sources of data used are primary and secondary data, with data collection techniques by documentation, observation, literature study, interviews. The data analysis technique that the researcher uses is based on Roland Barthes' semiotic approach, namely, denotative meaning description, connotative meaning description, myth analysis, interpretation. In order to test the validity of the data, the researchers used extended observations, triangulation. The results of this study indicate that there are symbols that contain meaning in the tajug gede cilodong architectural building such as the roof of the mosque which means "tritangtu dibuana" and faith, Islam, ihsan. The 4 towers mean “single sentence papat” and are symbols of khulafaurrasyidin. The window without glass means that air and light from outside can enter in, the red and white cloth used for prostration and tied to a pole means that if we love Allah we must also love our homeland. Gapura Melati means the identity of Purwakarta, the pointed part in the middle means monotheism. Meanwhile, 9 drums are symbols of Walisongo, who are figures in the spread of Islam in Indonesia.
