Abstract

Islamic education plays a strategic role in shaping the character of a Muslim generation with noble character, moderation, and a positive contribution to global society. The concept of rahmatan lil 'alamin (blessings for the universe) is a fundamental value in Islam that emphasizes compassion, justice, tolerance, and universal welfare. The main challenge today is how these values ​​can be effectively internalized by Generation Z Muslims, a generation that grew up in the digital era, globalization, and information disruption. This study aims to systematically examine the role of Islamic education in realizing the value of rahmatan lil 'alamin in Generation Z Muslims through a literature study approach. The method used is a literature review of various scientific sources in the form of books, national and international journals, and relevant documents that discuss Islamic education, the character of Generation Z, and the concept of rahmatan lil 'alamin. The study's findings demonstrate that Islamic education plays a crucial role in instilling the values ​​of religious moderation, tolerance, social empathy, and moral responsibility through curriculum integration, educator role models, and the use of digital media that adapts to the characteristics of Generation Z. Furthermore, contextual and inclusive Islamic education can serve as a means of preventing radicalism and moral degradation among young Muslims. The study's conclusions affirm that optimizing Islamic education based on the values ​​of rahmatan lil 'alamin (blessings for the universe) is highly relevant and urgent for developing a Generation Z Muslim population that is religious, humanistic, and globally minded.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Physical Education teachers in increasing students' interest in swimming at SDN 12 Konda. This research used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects consisted of Physical Education teachers and fifth-grade students participating in swimming lessons. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted interactively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results indicate that Physical Education teachers actively and optimally carry out their role in increasing students' interest in swimming. The teacher's role is reflected as a motivator through encouragement, praise, and positive reinforcement, which can reduce students' fear of water. As a facilitator, the teacher prepares supporting facilities and uses simple aids and learning methods tailored to the students' abilities. The teacher's role as a guide is evident in the gradual implementation of swimming lessons and the provision of individual guidance to students experiencing difficulties. Furthermore, the teacher also serves as an evaluator by conducting ongoing evaluations of the learning process and outcomes, both in terms of skills and student learning interests. The conclusion of this study indicates that the role of Physical Education teachers is crucial in increasing students' interest in learning to swim. Therefore, teachers need to continuously develop their pedagogical and professional competencies so that swimming lessons can be effective, safe, and enjoyable.

Abstract

The elementary school curriculum plays a strategic role in shaping the foundation of students' competencies as preparation for facing the next level of education and the challenges of life in the future. This study aims to examine the role of the elementary school curriculum as an instrument for developing student competencies through a literature study approach. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach, through analysis of various scientific sources in the form of national and international journal articles, academic books, and relevant educational policy documents. The results of the study indicate that the elementary school curriculum is designed to develop student competencies holistically, encompassing aspects of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The curriculum also reflects a shift in the learning paradigm from teacher-centered to student-centered, which encourages active student involvement in the learning process. In addition, the role of teachers is a key factor in the success of the curriculum implementation, because the quality of learning is highly dependent on teachers' understanding and competence in translating the curriculum into learning practices. Other findings indicate that limited infrastructure and differences in school contexts affect the effectiveness of curriculum implementation, requiring flexibility and adaptation in its application. The elementary school curriculum also functions as a strategic instrument in strengthening character and 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. This study is expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to curriculum development and serve as a reference for educators and policymakers in improving the quality of primary education.

Abstract

This research aims to examine innovation and evaluation of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum to support future educational development. The method used is a literature review, analyzing various scientific sources, including national and international journals, books, and recent research reports relevant to the topic. The study results indicate that PAI curriculum innovation needs to be oriented towards developing 21st-century competencies, integrating digital technology, and strengthening students' character and spiritual values. Furthermore, PAI curriculum evaluation should not only focus on cognitive aspects but also encompass affective and psychomotor aspects holistically. Other findings indicate that effective curriculum implementation requires the active role of teachers as learning innovators, support from educational policies, and the use of contextual learning media based on local wisdom. Curriculum evaluation also needs to be conducted continuously, using formative and summative approaches to ensure its relevance and effectiveness. Therefore, PAI curriculum innovation and evaluation are key to creating an education system that is adaptive, relevant, and able to meet future challenges. This research is expected to contribute to the development of a more progressive PAI curriculum oriented towards student needs in the era of globalization.

Abstract

This study aims to deeply understand the emotional experiences and personality patterns of students with Social Anxiety Disorder dealing with various social situations. Students, as individuals in the early adult stage, are required to actively interact in academic environments. However, for those experiencing social anxiety, these demands can be a source of pressure that affects their emotional state and behavior. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to explore the subjective experiences of the participants. The research subjects consisted of three students selected through purposive sampling technique with the criteria of having a tendency towards social anxiety. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and its validity was tested using triangulation. The results showed that students experienced anxiety, fear of negative judgment, low self-confidence, and a tendency to avoid social situations. Physical symptoms such as heart palpitations, sweating, and difficulty speaking also appeared. In addition, a personality pattern was found that tended to be introverted and sensitive to the judgments of others. This condition impacted academic activities and social relationships. This research is expected to provide a basis for developing effective interventions and mentoring.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the learning strategy of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) based on PAIKEM (Active, Innovative, Creative, Effective, and Enjoyable Learning) through a literature study approach. PAIKEM is a learning approach that positions students as active subjects in the learning process, thereby increasing student engagement, understanding, and learning outcomes. The method used is a literature study by reviewing various scientific sources such as journals, books, and previous research results relevant to the application of PAIKEM in PAI learning. The results of the study indicate that the application of PAIKEM in PAI learning can increase student learning motivation, strengthen understanding of religious concepts, and develop critical and creative thinking skills. In addition, this strategy also encourages teachers to be more innovative in designing contextual and meaningful learning. Other findings indicate that the use of discussion methods, educational games, digital media, and project-based learning are important parts of PAIKEM implementation. However, there are several challenges such as limited teacher competency, infrastructure, and time management in learning. Therefore, teacher training and policy support are needed to optimize the application of PAIKEM in PAI learning. Thus, PAIKEM-based learning strategies can be an effective solution for improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education (ISE) in schools.

Abstract

21st-century learning emphasizes higher-order thinking skills (HOTS), particularly critical thinking. However, high school students’ critical thinking skills in biology learning tend to be relatively low due to the dominance of conventional teaching methods and limited instructional media. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of HOTS-based E-LKPD in improving students’ critical thinking skills and to determine the level of improvement. This study employed a meta-analysis method by analyzing 20 scientific  articles published between 2020 and 2026. Data were obtained from selected research articles based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, and were analyzed using effect size (Hedges’g). The results showed that most effect size values were in the moderate to high categories, ranging from 0.45 to 2.10 (moderate to large effect). The highest values were found in the topic of growth and development, while topics such as cell division, respiratory system, and excretory system were in the moderate category. These findings indicate that the use of HOTS-based E-LKPD has a significant effect on improving students’ critical thinking skills. In conclusion, HOTS-based E-LKPD is effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills, although its effectiveness varies depending on the characteristics of the learning material.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Microsoft Excel in compiling school archive lists to facilitate the archive retrieval process and support the effectiveness of educational administration services. Archive management in schools is still largely done manually, creating obstacles in the process of searching and managing archive information. Therefore, it is necessary to utilize simple technology that can help improve the work efficiency of school administrative staff. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method supported by a Microsoft Excel-based school archive data simulation. Data were collected through a literature review of relevant journals, books, and previous research, then analyzed using content analysis techniques to obtain an overview of the use of Microsoft Excel in school archive management. The results show that Microsoft Excel is able to produce a more structured archive list system through table, sort, filter, and data grouping features, thereby accelerating the archive retrieval process. In addition, the use of a simple dashboard in Excel helps administrative staff monitor archive conditions more effectively. These findings indicate that Microsoft Excel plays a role as a simple, economical and easy-to-implement digitalization solution in school archive management. The success of the archive retrieval system is greatly influenced by the consistency of data input and the accuracy of archive classification. Thus, Microsoft Excel can be an initial alternative for digitizing educational administration to improve the effectiveness of archives management services in schools.

Abstract

Learning fiqh of tayamum plays an important role in helping students understand and practice Islamic worship correctly. However, many students still experience difficulties in understanding the procedures of tayamum and lack confidence in practicing it independently. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of demonstration and role play methods in improving students’ understanding and practical skills in tayamum learning at MDTA Muhammad Iqbal Cimahi. This research employed a qualitative approach involving teachers and students as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the learning process. The findings revealed that the application of demonstration and role play methods improved students’ comprehension of tayamum procedures, increased their participation during learning activities, and enhanced their confidence in practicing tayamum correctly. In addition, these methods created a more interactive and engaging learning environment that supported students’ cognitive and spiritual development. Therefore, the use of active learning methods is considered effective in strengthening fiqh learning and encouraging students to perform worship independently and responsibly.
