Abstract

A cancer diagnosis in children not only impacts physical decline but also triggers psychological and existential distress that leads to a decline in psychological well-being. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of logotherapy interventions using play as a medium in improving the psychological well-being of children with cancer. The research design was pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research instrument was independently constructed based on the dimensions of psychological well-being by Carol Ryff's theory. The logotherapy intervention was implemented for 1 month and implemented in a group form with a total of 4 children (N=4) with cancer as participants. Participants in the study were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the average score of psychological well-being from 38.5 in the pre-test to 72.8 in the post-test (t = -7.49; p = 0.005 (p < 0.05). The results of the study prove that play-based logotherapy is effective in improving the psychological well-being of children with cancer. The main function of this intervention is to help children realize the meaning of their lives that chronic illness does not prevent them from rising to achieve their desires, as well as providing a group space for mutual support. These findings emphasize that medical treatment for children with cancer must be accompanied by psychological interventions to support the patient's overall quality of life.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of service features, trust, and security on the intention to use GoPay in Samarinda City. The use of GoPay plays an important role in the digitalization of the Samarinda community however, there are several challenges, such as low interest in using digital products and the continued reliance on conventional methods. Therefore, a modern payment tool is needed. This study uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that service features, trust, and security have a positive and significant effect on the intention to use GoPay in Samarinda City.

Abstract

Outsourced workforce management plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of financial services companies, including PT Pegadaian (Persero). PT Era Permata Sejahtera is a staffing agency that partners with PT Pegadaian to provide employees for cashier and Customer Relationship Officer (CRO) positions at branches throughout West Java. This study aims to describe the implementation of outsourcing mangement at PT Era Permata Sejahtera, covering employee data administration, payroll management based on the West Java Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK), operational document administration, and frontline role orientation for workers to be assigned to Pegadaian branches. The method used was descriptive qualitative research through participatory observation during a Field Word Practice (PKL) from December 2025 to February 2026 at the Bandung Regional Office. The research findings indicate that outsourcing management at PT Era Permata Sejahtera has utilized simple digital technologies such as Google Forms, but is not yet supported by an integrated Human Resource Information System (HRIS). Adjusting payroll to account for variations in the regional minimum wage (UMK) across regencies and cities in West Java poses major challenge for the company’s HR administration. This study concludes that the effectiveness of outsourcing management is determined by data accuracy, coordination among units, and compliance with labor regulations, and recommends the adoption for a more integrated HRIS system to improve operational efficiency.

Abstract

Morphology is a key area of linguistics that examines the formation of words and grammatical constructions via morphemes. This research seeks to examine the utilization of inflectional and derivational morphemes in Saddam Hussein's Victory Anniversary Speech through the lens of Laurie Bauer's (2003) morphological theory. The research utilized a qualitative descriptive approach through document analysis. The information included words with inflectional and derivational morphemes gathered from the speech transcript. The data were recognized, categorized, and examined according to the types of inflectional and derivational morphemes, and the results were interpreted with the aid of pertinent morphological theories and earlier research. The findings show that inflectional morphemes prevail over derivational morphemes, suggesting that the language mainly depends on grammatical changes to deliver clear and cohesive messages. Of the inflectional morphemes, plural markers appear most often, whereas the formation of verbs into nouns and the suffixes -tion/-ion represent the most productive derivational patterns. These results show that inflectional morphemes aid in grammatical correctness, while derivational morphemes enhance lexical diversity and reinforce political arguments. This research enhances morphological studies by showing how morphological processes facilitate efficient communication in political speeches.

Abstract

The development of digital technology requires business actors to adapt to new ways of marketing products and delivering services to customers. Pesona Buah Oman, located at Jl. Raya Perum KSB Pasar KSB Blok C, Sukaragam Village, Serang Baru District, Bekasi Regency, West Java, Indonesia, is a fruit retail business that has begun to adopt digital strategies in its operations. This study aims to examine the implementation of social media and QRIS-based payment systems as an effort to enhance business competitiveness. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate a shift in promotional strategies from relying solely on direct communication (word of mouth) to utilizing digital platforms such as WhatsApp and Facebook. In addition, the creation of an Instagram account has expanded market reach and improved the visual appeal of product promotion. Furthermore, the implementation of QRIS has facilitated faster, safer, and more efficient transaction processes. The application of digital promotion and cashless transactions has positively impacted service quality, operational efficiency, and the business image in the eyes of customers. These findings suggest that simple digital innovations can serve as an effective strategy to support the sustainability and growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises, particularly in the fruit retail sector.

Abstract

Transfers to Regions (TKD) are an essential fiscal instrument for supporting regional governance and promoting equitable development. Effective TKD distribution requires stakeholders to have a comprehensive understanding of the applicable regulations and distribution mechanisms. This community service activity aimed to enhance stakeholders' understanding of the TKD distribution process through the Dissemination of Regional Transfer Distribution Services conducted within a Public Consultation Forum organized by KPPN Mataram. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using observation, documentation, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that the forum successfully improved participants' understanding of TKD distribution procedures, identified various administrative and technical challenges encountered by local governments, and generated recommendations to strengthen inter-institutional coordination, optimize information systems, reinforce KPPN's role as a Financial Advisor, and expand dissemination activities. Overall, the program contributed to improving public service quality, strengthening stakeholder collaboration, and supporting a more effective, transparent, and accountable regional transfer distribution system.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasingly intense competition in the thrift business in the digital era, which has driven businesses to optimize marketing communication strategies through social media, particularly Instagram, to build a positive and consistent brand image. Bilik Thrift is a thrift fashion business in Semarang that actively utilizes Instagram for marketing communication while facing the challenge of unofficial accounts that could damage its brand image. This study aims to determine Bilik Thrift's marketing communication strategy for enhancing its brand image on Instagram. The theories used are Social Media Marketing (SMM) by Tuten and Solomon (2018) through five strategic pillars, namely content strategy, community management, social advertising, analytics and metrics, and regulation and ethics, together with the brand image theory by Kotler and Keller (2016). This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a constructivist paradigm. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation with two internal informants, the owner and the social media administrator, selected through purposive sampling, and validated through source triangulation. The findings show that Bilik Thrift synergistically implements the five SMM pillars

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the meanings of destiny and work ethic represented in the lyrics of Manusia Kuat by Tulus. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method using Geoffrey Leech’s semantic theory as the primary analytical framework. The data source consists of words, phrases, and sentences found in the song lyrics that reflect the concepts of destiny and work ethic. Data were collected through documentation and note-taking techniques and analyzed using an interpretative semantic approach. The findings reveal that the lyrics contain various semantic meanings, particularly affective, connotative, thematic, and reflective meanings. The concept of work ethic is represented through expressions of perseverance, resilience, optimism, determination, and commitment to achieving personal goals. Meanwhile, the concept of destiny is reflected in expressions that emphasize acceptance of circumstances beyond human control and recognition of divine will. Furthermore, the study shows that destiny and work ethic are closely interconnected in the song. The lyrics suggest that accepting destiny should not lead to passivity but should encourage individuals to continue striving despite obstacles and uncertainties. Therefore, Manusia Kuat conveys a balanced life message that combines acceptance of destiny with continuous effort and perseverance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation of loyalty in the lyrics of Penjaga Hati by Nadhif Basalamah using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. The song was selected because of its popularity among young people and the moral values embedded in its lyrics. This research employed a qualitative method with semiotic analysis through Barthes’ three levels of signification: denotation, connotation, and myth. The findings reveal that, at the denotative level, the lyrics depict a promise to remain present and protect a loved one. At the connotative level, the lyrics represent loyalty as a symbol of ideal love and emotional commitment. At the mythological level, the song constructs the ideology that loyalty is the fundamental foundation of true love in popular culture. The study concludes that music, particularly song lyrics, serves not only as entertainment but also as a medium of mass communication that conveys moral and cultural values to a wide audience. This research is expected to contribute theoretically to the fields of mass communication and popular culture studies, while also providing practical insights for the public to better appreciate music as a medium for communicating moral values.

Abstract

Employee recruitment is one of the strategic functions in human resource management at health service institutions. This study aims to analyze and describe in depth the employee recruitment system implemented at Wava Husada Hospital, Kepanjen, Malang. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants consisting of the Head of Human Resources, recruitment committee members, and employees who had gone through the recruitment process. Direct observation and documentation study were also conducted to obtain comprehensive data. The results show that Wava Husada Hospital implements a structured open recruitment system with three main stages: (1) administrative selection covering verification of document completeness and applicant qualification compliance; (2) psychological tests designed to measure applicants' intelligence, personality, and value alignment with organizational culture; and (3) interviews involving a multidisciplinary team to assess technical and non-technical competencies of prospective employees. This recruitment system has proven effective in selecting competent healthcare workers committed to excellent service. However, several obstacles were also found, including the limited number of applicants from certain specializations and technical constraints in the online recruitment information system. This study recommends strengthening employer branding strategies and improving the human resource management information system capacity at Wava Husada Hospital.
