Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of ability and leadership on the performance of self-service employees through work motivation as an intervening variable at the Luwes Purwodadi Supermarket. The population is 150 employees with a sample of 109 respondents. Data collection methods used questionnaires and primary data, analyzed using SPSS 25 and multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that ability has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, meaning that increasing ability can improve performance. Leadership also has a positive and significant effect on performance, emphasizing the role of leaders in creating a productive work environment. Work motivation has a positive and significant influence on employee performance, this shows that efforts to increase motivation can increase productivity. This research provides an understanding of the complex relationship between ability, leadership, work motivation, and performance in supermarkets. Companies can use these findings to develop more effective human resource management strategies. In conclusion, this research provides insights for human resource management and confirms the importance of capability development, effective leadership, and work motivation to achieve performance excellence in the self-service sector

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the quality of Human Resources and work professionalism on the performance of educational staff at the University of 17 August 1945 Semarang. The population used was all educational staff (tendik) at the University of 17 August 1945 Semarang with a total of 140 people, the sample size used was 104 respondents, with a sampling technique using proportionate random sampling. The data source used is primary data, with data collection methods using questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the hypothesis test showed that the quality of human resources had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and work professionalism had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination value is 0.463, meaning that the quality of Human Resources and work professionalism can explain variations in employee performance variables by 46.3 percent, so it still needs to be followed up with further research, especially related to individual aspects and employee performance

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of financial capabilities consisting of attitudes, behaviors, and knowledge on financial management mediated by financial education among students in Surakarta. The research method uses a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. Data was collected through an online survey by distributing a Google Form link. There were 170 respondents studied from various universities in Surakarta and most of them came from management and accounting departments. The results of the analysis show that financial education, financial skills consisting of attitudes, behavior and knowledge have a positive and significant effect on financial management, while financial education is successful in partially mediating the influence of attitudes, behavior and knowledge on students' financial management. The implication of these findings is that financial material has an influence on students in managing their finances, especially in terms of frugality and savings. Therefore, college student needs to know and apply the meaning of personal financial management to be able to become students who are good at managing finances and living more prosperously in the future.

Abstract

The hospitality industry is a service sector that combines products and services, besides that the hospitality industry has other characteristics from the industry we are used to knowing where guests buy these services in the short term, this will be influenced by the physical or hotel facilities, and determine the location and quality effective service to provide satisfaction to every guest who visits or stays. This study aims to identify the effect of service quality and facilities on guest satisfaction at Chanti Hotel Semarang. From the results of SPSS calculations, a positive beta coefficient value of 1,222 is obtained with a positive value of 0,000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that the quality of service is the most dominant indicator of the variable facilities. From the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that emerged in this study, act Service quality has a positive and significant effect on guest satisfaction at Hotel Chanti Semarang. Facilities have a positive and significant effect on guest satisfaction at Hotel Chanti Semarang.

Abstract

Through the application of the SWOT theory, this study examines the leadership concept that Maximus portrays in the movie Gladiator (2000). The objective of this study is to determine the factors that influence the leadership of the primary protagonist, specifically focusing on their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The research methodology used in this study is a comprehensive examination of Maximus' behaviors and attributes as depicted in the film. The findings of the analysis indicate that Maximus possesses notable attributes in the realm of moral leadership and courage, which significantly contribute to his achievements within the film. Nevertheless, it is important to acknowledge that he possesses certain limitations, including a tendency for uncertainty and vulnerability. Moreover, Maximus draws on the chances presented by the establishment of friendships and the provision of support from other characters, ultimately enabling him to accomplish his objectives. The principal sources of danger arise from the protagonist's antagonists within the narrative. In summary, the leadership philosophy shown by Maximus in the film Gladiator can be seen as embodying the fundamental elements of the SWOT analysis framework. The findings of this analysis contribute to our comprehension of leadership dynamics within the framework of a cinematic story and offer valuable perspectives on the use of SWOT theory in the examination of fictional personas. The results mentioned above hold significance for comprehending leadership principles within the realm of popular culture and in the context of ordinary society.

Abstract

Research aims to evaluate the quality of foreign language services provided to foreign tourists visiting the Old City of Semarang, a tourism destination that is increasingly in demand. This research uses a qualitative approach with various methods, including case studies, indepth interviews with foreign tourists, content analysis, participant observation, document analysis and data triangulation. The research results revealed that the majority of foreign tourists were impressed with foreign language services in the Old City of Semarang. They shared positive stories about interactions with officers who tried to help in a foreign language, which made them feel welcome and comfortable. Another positive experience involves the ability to explore the culture and history of the city through smooth interactions with local residents who are fluent in foreign languages. However, a number of foreign tourists also face obstacles, especially in terms of communication, navigation and understanding cultural differences. Some of the recommendations given by foreign tourists include increasing language training for officers, providing more information materials in foreign languages, improving navigation, cultural exchange programs, use of technology, tourist feedback channels, and increasing cooperation between stakeholders. This research has important implications for improving the tourism sector and local economy. Improving foreign language services in the Old City of Semarang can increase tourist satisfaction, result in repeat visits, positive recommendations, and a positive contribution to the city's economic growth. Therefore, language training, provision of information materials, improved navigation, promotion of culture, technology, feedback channels, and cooperation between stakeholders are key steps in achieving this goal.

Abstract

Marketing strategy is important to measure the success of a business. This study aims to determine the strategies and constraints in marketing Getuk Eco. The type of research used is qualitative research with descriptive research. The results of this study indicate that Getuk Eco has implemented a marketing mix strategy that uses the 4P variables, namely Product, Price, Place and Promotion which can increase profits and sales of Getuk Eco products. In this study, there are supporting factors and inhibiting factors for the implementation of marketing strategies for Getuk Eco product sales, which are supporting factors, namely support from the co mmunity, good service and good management. Meanwhile, the factors that hinder the implementation of the marketing strategy for Getuk Eco products are that a good organizational structure has not been formed, the workforce or human resources are still low, and the stock of banknotes is limited.

Abstract

Currently, business competition in the hospitality sector is very tight. then hotel management must be competitive in competing, management must carry out attractive promotions, also provide good facilities, so that they can influence consumer visits..The purpose of this research is to examine and analyze the influence of promotions and facilities on consumer visits. This research was conducted at the Grand Arkenso Park View Hotel Semarang. The sampling technique used the probability sampling technique with the accidental sampling method, and the data collection technique used the survey method through a questionnaire. The sample size taken using the Slovin formula is 92 respondents. data processing method using multiple linear regression method with the help of SPSS (Product Solutions and Service Statistics). The test results prove that promotions and facilities have a significant and positive effect visiting guest.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of sanitation, hygiene and menu variations on guest satisfaction at Kapolagha Restaurant, Grandhika Pemuda Hotel, Semarang. The research method used is a quantitative research method, where variables are measured using a Likert scale. The data collection method was carried out by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The population in this study were 100 guests at the Kapolagha Restaurant, Grandhika Pemuda Hotel, Semarang. Data processing uses SPSS tools, with descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis hypothesis testing. The research results show that sanitation variables have a positive and significant effect on guest satisfaction; hygiene variables have a positive and significant effect on guest satisfaction; the menu variation variable has a positive and significant effect on guest satisfaction; sanitation, hygiene and menu variety variables have a positive and significant effect on guest satisfaction; and the menu variation variable is the most dominant variable in guest satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and determine the effect of service quality and facilities partially and jointly on guest satisfaction at Hotel Tentrem Semarang and the most influential variable on guest satisfaction at Hotel Tentrem Semarang. The population in this study were guests or visitors at Hotel Tentrem Semarang, totaling 10,261 guests. The sampling technique in this study used accidental sampling technique. The sample of this study were guests or visitors at Hotel Tentrem Semarang as many as 99 respondents. The analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study stated that service quality had a positive and significant effect on guest satisfaction at Hotel Tentrem Semarang. Meanwhile, facilities have no significant effect on guest satisfaction at Hotel Tentrem Semarang. However, service quality and facilities have a joint effect on guest satisfaction at Hotel Tentrem Semarang. Service quality is the biggest variable that influences guest satisfaction at Hotel Tentrem Semarang with a coefficient value of 0.765.
