Abstract

This study airms to improve the self expresions of quite students through structured psychological interventions tailored to the needs of third grade students at SD AL-Munawarah. The intervention included play therapy, group guidance, and role playing activities designed to be supportive and engaging. The research used a Classrom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in one cycle over ten days. Threequite students ewre identified based on teacher observations and interviews. Data were collected using observations, interviws, and self expresions questionnaires administered before and after the the intervention. Result showed a 35% increase in self expression scores. student became more confident in speaking, participating in group work, and engagging with peers. Teachers reported  improve emosional expression and clasroom interaction. The study concludes that psychological interventions can help quiet student express themselves better and contribute to a more inclusive, make student feels more comfortable, so that student get equal potential opportunities with other friend, and suppoortive classroom environment

Abstract

First-grade education is a crucial phase in developing foundational literacy skills. However, many students begin school without adequate readiness, particularly in recognizing letters and early reading. At SDN Puncakmulya, a significant number of first-grade students were found to struggle with basic reading skills, largely influenced by the level of parental involvement in their early learning experiences. This study aims to explore the influence of parental involvement on students’ reading readiness. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews with first-grade teachers and parents, classroom observations, and document analysis. The research was conducted in three cycles, involving collaborative efforts between the researcher and the teacher to implement supportive teaching strategies. Findings indicate that students with active parental support at home show greater progress in recognizing letters and reading simple words. Teaching methods such as multisensory approaches and visual media enhanced students’ interest and learning outcomes. Moreover, consistent collaboration between school and family created a more supportive learning environment. In conclusion, parental involvement significantly contributes to early reading readiness. Students benefit not only from technical literacy support but also from emotional encouragement and structured learning routines at home. Strengthening school-family collaboration is essential to ensure students’ successful transition into formal learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the self-expression of quiet students through structured psychological In school social life, friendship plays a crucial role in shaping students' character, including tolerance, empathy, cooperation, and social responsibility. This study aims to describe the implementation of student attitudes toward friendship within the Rumah Anak Soleh Islamic Elementary School (SDIT). This research used a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation of third-grade students at Rumah Anak Soleh Elementary School. The results demonstrate positive attitudes toward friendship, such as helping each other, respecting differences, and resolving conflicts through open communication.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using Android-based educational games in improving mathematics learning outcomes among elementary school students. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects consisted of two fifth-grade classes at an elementary school in Yogyakarta: an experimental class that used educational games and a control class that received conventional instruction. Research instruments included a mathematics achievement test, student activity observation sheets, and a student response questionnaire. The results revealed a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two groups, with the experimental group achieving a higher average score. Furthermore, students who used educational games showed greater motivation, engagement, and conceptual understanding. These findings suggest that Android-based educational games are an effective, engaging, and relevant learning medium for the digital-native generation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) curriculum in thematic learning at elementary schools. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation at several elementary schools in Jakarta City. The results indicate that teachers have understood the principles of KKNI and have endeavored to integrate them into thematic learning processes, thereby enhancing student engagement and the development of 21st-century competencies. However, challenges remain in authentic assessment and administrative workload experienced by teachers. Support from principals and supervisors plays a crucial role in the successful implementation of this curriculum. This study recommends increased training for teachers and adequate resource provision to optimize the application of KKNI in thematic learning.

Abstract

This study aims to theoretically examine the implementation of deep learning in elementary schools as a strategy to strengthen the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. The method used in this study is library research, analyzing various scientific sources such as books, educational journals, policy articles, and official documents from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. Deep learning is understood as an approach that emphasizes in-depth conceptual understanding, critical and reflective thinking skills, and the ability to connect concepts to real-life contexts. The results of the study indicate that the principles of deep learning are highly relevant to the Independent Curriculum approach, particularly in differentiated learning, project-based learning, and formative assessment. This approach not only encourages students to actively construct knowledge but also supports the formation of a Pancasila learner profile. Furthermore, deep learning also has theoretical implications for developing the role of teachers as facilitators, contextualizing learning design, and creating a more meaningful and holistic assessment system. Therefore, it is not surprising that the government will implement deep learning in elementary schools starting in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study recommends conducting further field-based research to directly observe the implementation of deep learning in elementary schools, including the challenges and opportunities in supporting the Independent Curriculum. Therefore, this study is expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to the field of elementary education in Indonesia as it prepares for a more adaptive and transformative education in the global era.

Abstract

Mindful learning is an approach to students in the learning process that emphasizes transforming a concept into a new form by combining the ideas they possess. This mindful approach contributes to emotional social development because during the learning process, students consciously manage and accept various feelings they experience. The application of mindful learning as a concentration strategy for fifth-grade students at SDN Cipageran Mandiri 3 cannot be effectively implemented, due to distractions in the classroom that undermine students' concentration during the learning process. By adding STOP in the classroom, it will enhance students' control over their concentration. The results of the research using Likert scale on the control and experimental classes, as well as the N-Gain Test for Pretest and Posttest on students' concentration, prove that the results are considered low, thus the mindful learning approach did not proceed as expected. This approach poses a challenge for an educator to try implementing the mindful learning approach at SDN Cipageran Mandiri 3 by establishing a common agreement before the learning process begins so that this approach can function as intended and comply with the applicable curriculum.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the use of visual media impacts the improvement of third-grade students' skills at SDN 3 Ciharashas in their literacy skills. To measure changes in students' literacy skills before and after the implementation of visual media, a quantitative descriptive pretest-posttest approach was used. The study results show that the use of visual media enhances students' literacy skills. This includes improvements in text comprehension, vocabulary, and reading interest. Previous studies indicate that visual media can improve elementary school students' literacy skills. These findings are consistent with this discovery. Therefore, the use of visual media can be an effective approach to improve students' literacy skills in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to critique formative assessment practices in elementary schools by examining their implementation, obstacles, and relevant strengthening solutions to improve learning effectiveness. Using a critical review approach to empirical research and literature from the past five years, this study found that formative assessment at the elementary school level has been implemented, but it has not fully aligned with the principles of continuous assessment that provide meaningful feedback to students. Teachers tend to use formative assessment as a one-time measurement tool, rather than as a reflective process integrated with learning. The main obstacles identified include limited teacher assessment competencies, high workloads, inconsistent feedback quality, and minimal institutional support for developing a culture of reflection. This study recommends strengthening through increasing assessment literacy, optimizing supporting technology, developing professional communities of practice, and establishing school policies that emphasize the importance of formative assessment as part of authentic learning. These findings underscore the urgency of repositioning formative assessment as a primary pedagogical strategy to encourage student engagement and holistic development.

Abstract

This research examines the essence and urgency of Islamic spiritual values within the context of Indonesian nation-building. As a country with a Muslim majority, Indonesia holds significant potential to integrate the noble tenets of Islamic teachings—such as Tawhid (monoteis), Ukhuwah (brotherhood), 'Adl (justice), Amanah (trustworthiness), and tolerance—as the moral and ethical foundation for national development. The spiritual essence of Islam focuses not merely on ritual dimensions but also on shaping individualis with integrity, responsibility, and social concern. The urgency of these values lies in their role as an antidote to various developmental challenges, including corruption, social disintegration, economic disparity, and moral crisis. By internalizing spiritual values, it is expected that a harmonious, just, and prosperous society will be created, alongside a clean and authoritative state administrator. This study concludes that the mainstreaming of Islamic spiritual values through education, public policy, and the active role of religious institutions is a pressing and strategic necessity to achieve sustainable and dignified nation-building, in line with the ideals of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.
