Abstract

The socialization of making Pupuk Organic Cair (POC) in Randugunting Village is an effort to deal with the abundance of household organic waste. This outreach aims to utilize household organic waste such as wilted vegetables. This household organic waste rots very quickly and carries many diseases if left untreated. Therefore, this waste is processed into fertilizer which is useful for the residents around Randugunting Village. The socialization methods used are training and direct practice. The community service’s results revealed that Pupuk Organik Cair produced had sufficient nutritional content, including nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, which are essential for plant growth. After the socialization is complete, the result are used to water the village's TOGA. Thus, the manufacture of Pupuk Organik Cair in Randugunting Village provides direct benefits for residents through increasing TOGA yields, while supporting more environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural practices.

Abstract

This activity is filled with three activities, namely socialization of the importance of greening, making EcoPots from plastic bottle waste, and making compost from rice straw and goat manure. This activity aims to increase awareness of the importance of greening and the importance of preserving the environment from an early age. The target of this activity is the 5th grade students of MI Nurul Falah located in Pringtali Hamlet, Kemiri Village, Kaloran District. The methods used in this activity are lectures and demonstrations. Lectures are carried out by delivering material in the form of understanding greening, the importance of greening, benefits, and the correct way to plant trees. The demonstration method is  carried out by practicing making Eco-Pots and making compost using raw materials of rice straw and goat manure which are widely available around Kemiri Village, then added with EM-4, rice husks, granulated sugar, and water. The results of this activity are compost and pots from decorated plastic bottles and then used to plant plants in the school environment.

Abstract

Beseran Village faces challenges in managing household waste which has a negative impact on the environment. As a solution to overcome this problem, training in making biopore absorption holes was initiated to reduce the volume of waste while producing compost. The aim of this activity is to provide understanding and skills to village residents in utilizing organic waste through biopori technology. The objects of this activity are the residents of Beseran Village, especially PKK cadres and housewives. The methods used in this activity include socialization, direct demonstrations, and assistance in the practice of making biopore holes and processing organic waste into compost. The results of the activity show an increase in residents' knowledge and skills in processing household waste, as well as success in reducing the volume of waste and producing quality compost fertilizer. It is hoped that this training can become a model for sustainable waste management at the village level, as well as contribute to improving the environmental and economic quality of Beseran Village residents.

Abstract

It is only right that every child in this country receives adequate nutritional needs, considering Indonesia's abundant natural resources. However, not everyone has the same opportunity, as evidenced by the still relatively high stunting rates in Indonesia, including in Desa Karas, Rembang. To address this issue, the government has implemented various strategic steps and programs, one of which is the provision of supplementary food (PMT). This study aims to understand the role of Posyandu through the PMT program in reducing the risk of stunting in Desa Karas, Rembang. The analysis was conducted using a participatory method with a focus on mentoring. The results of the study show that the role of Posyandu, particularly in Desa Karas, in reducing the risk of stunting has shown positive outcomes. Various government programs, including the PMT program, have been effectively implemented. Although PMT is not the primary factor in reducing stunting rates, it has encouraged parents to pay more attention to providing adequate nutrition for their children.

Abstract

The training on the production of renewable energy biochar and its utilization as a soil structure improvement agent was conducted in Kebonan Village, Boyolali Regency. This activity aimed to address the challenges of climate change and food security by promoting the use of biochar derived from coconut shells to enhance soil quality and support the sustainability of the village's nutrition gardens. Biochar, produced through the pyrolysis of organic waste, has significant potential in improving soil texture, stabilizing pH, and reducing the accumulation of nondecomposable agricultural waste. The training involved members of the village's women’s organization (PKK) and local farmers, who were taught the process of biochar production using a cost-effective soil pit method. The biochar produced was then distributed to each nutrition garden in the village, with guidance provided on its application as a soil amendment. The outcome of this initiative demonstrated the community's increased understanding of biochar production and its benefits, contributing to the sustainable management of agricultural waste and the enhancement of local food production systems.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance teachers’ competence in developing innovative learning media through training in creating story books based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a means of strengthening the religious character of elementary school students. The methods applied included observation, socialization, counseling, mentoring, and evaluation using pre-tests and post-tests. The training was conducted at SD Negeri 3 Dlepih with nine participants, consisting of teachers and the school principal. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ understanding and skills. The average score increased from 19 in the pre-test to 34 in the post-test, reflecting a rise of approximately 74%. Moreover, participants successfully produced AI-based story books ready to be implemented in classroom learning. Thus, this training proved effective in enhancing teachers’ ability to utilize technology while simultaneously supporting the reinforcement of students’ religious character through creative, contextual, and engaging learning media.
