Abstract

  Banyak cara yang bisa dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penyesuaian diri anak tunagrahita sedang, diantaranya dengan mengadakan kegiatan bermain dalam bentuk Outbound Management Training (OMT). Permainan model ini membuat anak-anak terlibat langsung secara kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Permainan-permainan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Permainan-permainan Pengantar, Pena Ajaib, Jari Keseimbangan, Akulah Si, Cermin Saya, Memindah Bom, Jalur Bola, Memasukkan Pensil Kelompok, Gelas Bocor, Gambar Kreasi, Berpindah Pulau, Truk Gandeng, Awas Ranjau dan Film Akhlak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan OMT untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penyesuaian diri anak tunagrahita sedang di SLBN Rembang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 anak tunagrahita sedang. Penelitian dengan metode eksperimen non randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Subjek dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol dengan jumlah masing-masing kelompok 10 subjek. Pengambilan data penelitian ini menggunakan rating scale dengan nilai sig 0,000 (Sig<0,05 ho diterima) dan Z score sebesar -3,791. Analisis data menggunakan teknik uji non parametrik Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test dengan program SPSS versi 17 for windows. Dalam proses pemberian perlakuan subjek mengalami beberapa peningkatan pada tiap-tiap indikator pada kemampuan penyesuaian dirinya, diantaranya mampu mengarahkan diri, mengontrol diri, memiliki hubungan interpersonal yang baik, mampu menghargai orang lain. Namun, ada beberapa indikator yang belum tercapai secara maksimal diantaranya subjek belum mampu berperilaku sesuai norma, memiliki simpati pada orang lain, menerima diri dan kenyataan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa OMT efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penyesuaian diri anak tunagrahita sedang di SLBN Rembang. Saran yang dapat diberikan untuk pihak sekolah khususnya guru, diharapkan lebih ditekankan perkembangan anak pada aspek non kognitif, sehingga anak mampu untuk melakukan penyesuaian diri sesuai dengan tingkat usianya, sedangkan untuk orangtua diharapkan senantiasa mengawasi perkembangan anak dan selalu mengarahkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi mahasiswa tentang harapan orang tua terhadap pendidikan dengan ketakutan akan kegagalan pada mahasiswa jurusan Psikologi Universitas Negeri Semarang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa jurusan Psikologi UNNES, sejumlah 38 mahasiswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala persepsi tentang harapan orang tua terhadap pendidikan terdiri dari 36 item (α = 0,971) dan skala ketakutan akan kegagalan yang terdiri dari 46 item (α = 0,943). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mempersepsikan harapan orang tuanya dalam kriteria tinggi. Adapun ketakutan akan kegagalan mahasiswa jurusan Psikologi UNNES termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi. Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukkan nilai r = 0,66 dengan p = 0.00 (p < 0.05) berarti ada hubungan positif antara persepsi tentang harapan orang tua terhadap pendidikan dengan ketakutan akan kegagalan pada mahasiswa jurusan Psikologi UNNES. Semakin tinggi harapan orang tua yang dipersepsi oleh mahasiswa maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat ketakutan akan kegagalan. Sumbangan efektif persepsi terhadap harapan orang tua dalam penelitian ini sebesar 43,6%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut peneliti memberikan saran bahwa orang tua diharapkan untuk lebih terbuka menerima harapan, keinginan dan ketakutan mahasiswa mengenai kehidupan akademiknya dengan cara memberikan dukungan positif berupa motivasi, perhatian dan pemahaman terhadap kelebihan dan kekurangan anak serta memberikan pemahaman bahwa orang tua mengharapkan prestasi sebaik-baiknya sesuai dengan kemampuan anak, bukan tuntutan untuk selalu unggul dan cepat menyelesaikan studi.

Abstract

The pandemic period resulted in changes to the learning activity system and required students to be able to adapt to these conditions, one of which was how they managed their time in the midst of their busyness in the scope of education when the pandemic was still ongoing. Men and women have different characteristics that can affect their attitudes and behavior. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in the time management of high school students in terms of gender during the pandemic. The approach used is quantitative with a comparative design to see the differences. The data collection tool uses the TMBS (Time Management Behavior Scale) scale. The population in this study were students of SMA Negeri 3 Semarang with an age range of 15-18 years. The number of samples collected was 163 subjects with stratified random sampling technique. The data analysis method consisted of normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing with the independent sample T-Test. The results of the analysis showed that there was no significant difference in the time management of high school students in terms of gender. Overall time management of SMA Negeri Semarang students are in the medium category. In the aspect of setting goals and priorities, in general, male students are higher than female students. In the aspect of planning and scheduling mechanisms and the aspect of preference for being organized, in general, female students are higher than male students.

Abstract

Education has been shifted to a digital environment nowadays. Students must adapt to the implementation of distance learning. This online learning requires the activeness of students, especially to be independent in learning—self-directed learning. However, with many learning resources on the internet, digital literacy is also needed so that students can carry out their self-directed learning better. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between digital literacy and self-directed learning in high school students. This research method is quantitative with a correlational design. The sample for this study used a proportionate stratified random sampling technique and obtained as many as 259 1st and 2nd year students from SMAN 6 Semarang. The measuring instruments used are the digital literacy scale and the self-directed learning scale, with Cronbach's Alpha reliability scores of 0.827 and 0.851, respectively. The results of hypothesis testing are the acceptance of the working hypothesis, so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between digital literacy and self-directed learning. The correlation coefficient obtained is 0.217. In addition, descriptively, it is known that the subject's self-directed learning condition is in the medium category and the subject's digital literacy condition is also in the moderate category.

Abstract

A good quality of life, one of which is judged by success. This usually starts from taking education. Various challenges and obstacles faced while studying. One of the psychological variables that play a role in dealing with it is academic grit. Individuals who are consistent with their interests and diligently try are predicted to achieve success more easily. Students who are active in organizations are faced with more diverse academic challenges than those who focus solely on academics. Academic grit in student organizations is being questioned. One of the influencing factors is the growth mindset. The subjects of this study were students who were active in organizations. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. The research method uses correlational quantitative. Data obtained through the grit scale and growth mindset. The results of the study show that the growth mindset has an influence on the academic grit of students who join organizations. Further research also examines the amount of growth mindset's effective contribution to academic grit as well as some suggestions for future researchers.

Abstract

Anxiety of memorizing the Surah of Qur'an is response of the body such as feelings of pressure, fear, stress due to activity in memorizing the Surah of Qur'an which is characterized by certain feelings and symptoms that arise. As a result, students have difficulty in memorizing practices, resulting in suboptimal memorization. One solution to overcome this problem is have confidence in yourself be able organize and carry out all actions in order to achieve certain academic goals or called self-efficacy. This study aims determine the relationship between self efficacy and anxiety of memorizing the Surah of Qur'an. This study is a correlational quantitative study with the student population of State Madrasah Aliyah X amounting 940 students. Sampling using simple random samplingtechniques was obtained by 269 students. The data collection method uses self-efficacy scale made by researchers and academic anxiety scale of memorizing the results of adaptation (Lailatul Fiqriyah, 2020). Data analysis uses correlational person product moment correlation techniques to test the relationship between two variables. The results showed value (r) of -0.706 with p = 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there was a significant negative relationship betwen self efficacy and anxiety of practice of memorizing the Qur'an surah in MAN students in qur'an and hadith lessons. The level anxiety of practice of memorization and self efficacy is in the moderate category. It is recommended for MAN students, one solution to be able reduce anxiety in practice of memorizing the Surah of Qur'an is to increase self-efficacy possessed.

Abstract

The study investigated technological motivation and perception of secondary school students in English language since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in Osun State. The study is a descriptive study; a sample of 400 students from Osogbo and Olorunda, Osun Central, Osun State formed the participants for the study. The instrument for data collections was questionnaire and reliability level was 0.78. Data collected were analyzed descriptive statistics (frequency count and simple percentages), t-test and correlation. The findings of the study revealed that secondary school students perceived the roles of technological in English language since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in Osun State as it is easy to use, it save time, develop interest in learning, provides communication medium for information, promote individual learning and it promote active learning. Projector, public address, multimedia software, interactive board, computer, scanner and printer are the technology facilities available for students use since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic while others like internet facilities, media player, Learning Management System (LMS), zoom and google classroom are not available for use. The study of the findings revealed the challenges encountered by students while using technology facilities as a motivator since the outbreak of covid-19 pandemic as ICT software is not readily available, insufficient number of ICT, insufficient technical support from ICT, absence of constant electricity, amongst others and there is no significant difference in the frequency use of technology facilities as a motivator between public and private secondary schools in Osun State. The following recommendation were made such as: the ministry of education and local government education authority should provide computers, internet and other ICT tools in all the government own schools so as to encourage teachers use of ICTs, employers of teachers should give sufficient technical skills to their employees on ICT tools, teachers training institutions like institutes of education, colleges of education, National Teachers Institutes and so on should make ICTs course compulsory for all the teachers under training to make them familiar with the use of ICTs in teaching and learning.

Abstract

The study investigated students’ perception and their attitudes toward the use of Google Classroom in Osun State University. The study is a descriptive study; a sample of 360 students from in Osun State University formed the participants for the study. The instrument for data collections was inventory and questionnaire and was structured by the researcher for data collection and reliability level was 0.78. Data collected were analyzed using mean, descriptive statistics (frequency count and simple percentage), t-test and correlation. The findings of the study revealed that students' perceived the usefulness of Google Classroom for learning process in Osun State University, students have positive attitude towards the use of Google Classroom for learning in Osun State University, difficulties associated with the use of google classroom in Osun State University as lack of ICT tools in campus, epileptic electricity power supply, cost of data, lack of class management in google classroom, learning schedule do not allow for google classroom for learning, insufficient number of ICT facilities, insufficient Internet bandwidth or speed, amongst others and there is no significant difference in the students’ perception of the use of Google Classroom for learning in Osun State University differ based on student’s gender. The following recommendations were made such as: academic institutions should apply Google Classroom as it will assist both students and lecturers to connect, work together, create assignments, grade students and post lecture notes, academic institutions should continue to promote and provide quality ICT infrastructures upgraded computer units, laptops, tablets, and most importantly school-wide wifi access for all the stakeholders, training should also be given to facilitators of learning and students on how to maximize the use of Google Classroom for effective teaching and learning and academic institutions are encouraged to make Google Classroom an avenue to promote e-learning among the students.

Abstract

This study describes the application of token economy intervention to an early childhood who has attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity. The method used is a qualitative case study, which involves in-depth observation and interviews with the child's parents and teachers. The research subject was a 5-year-old child who had difficulty in focusing attention accompanied by hyperactivity. The intervention was conducted for 23 days, during which the child was given tokens as rewards for positive behavior and certain achievements. The success of the intervention was measured by recording changes in the child's behavior. Interview techniques were also conducted to evaluate parents and teachers perceptions and provide education in helping to deal with children's problems. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in the child's ability to focus attention, this can be seen from the decrease in impulsive behavior and the increase in tasks that can be completed. In addition, parents reported positive changes in their child's daily interactions. The conclusion of this study is that token economy intervention can have a significant impact in improving the attention of early childhood with attention deficit disorder accompanied by hyperactivity, as well as providing insights for intervention practices in educational settings.

Abstract

Indonesian plays an important role as the main language in daily communication. However, data shows that integrative language learning in primary schools is still less effective, and children often experience difficulties. Therefore, innovations in learning media that consider the psychological aspects of children are needed. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of applying kentrung art as an integrative language learning media in improving writing, speaking, and listening skills. The research method used in this research is quasi-experiment with the experimental model of one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students of SDN 1 Semampir. Data collection techniques were through pretest and posttest questionnaires and assessment rubrics, and analyzed using descriptive analysis and T-test statistical tests. The T-test showed a significant value = 0.001 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the results of the pretest and post-test on integrative language skills. The results of this research show that the application of kentrung art can improve integrative language skills, including writing, speaking, and listening skills, in grade V primary school students.
