Abstract

Ngesrepbalong Village in Limbangan District, Kendal, is known to be prone to landslides. Landslide mitigation through planting deep-rooted trees. This village was classified as a developing village until the end of 2023. Efforts to realize Ngesrepbalong as an avocado center required intensifying superior avocado cultivation, which involved mass availability of seeds. The problem was that the rootstock in avocado grafting was limited because one avocado only produced one seed. The production problems of the target partners of "Gunung Berkah" were overcome through socialization, training, implementation, assistance, monitoring and evaluation, and ensuring its sustainability by splitting avocado seeds/embryos into at least 2 or more. The community service activities showed that 100% of seed splitting results succeeded in growing into standard rootstock, which then became 150 superior avocado seedlings through grafting. The difference in rootstock was only in its height. For the efficiency of rootstock propagation for the Gunung Berkah group in the future, it is recommended that seed/embryo splitting be combined with the treatment of cutting the bottom of the avocado seed, giving growth hormones, and using the right planting media. The availability of avocado rootstock accelerated the availability of seeds for the intensification of superior avocado cultivation towards the realization of Ngesrepbalong as a superior avocado center.

Abstract

This community service aims to increase the financial management capacity of West Kaduagung Village Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) through the implementation of a digital-based accounting system. This program overcomes obstacles such as manual recording, potential reporting errors, and lack of transparency. Activities include outreach, intensive training, system implementation, and post-implementation assistance. The results show a significant increase in the understanding and skills of BUMDes administrators regarding basic accounting and the use of digital systems. This system increases transparency, efficiency and accountability in financial management, supports the creation of fast and accurate financial reports, and makes strategic decision making easier. Challenges such as limited technological infrastructure and initial resistance from administrators were overcome through a participatory approach. This program has a positive impact on village fund management and has the potential to become a model for other BUMDes. Recommendations include improving technology infrastructure, expanding training, and collaborating with educational institutions and technology providers. The continuation of the program is expected to strengthen the role of BUMDes in competitive and inclusive village economic development.

Abstract

Indonesia has established the Vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 in the National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) 2025–2045 with the goal of becoming a developed country and escaping the middle-income trap. The achievement of this vision greatly depends on the successful implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As part of the effort to localize the SDGs, the Village SDGs (SDGs Desa) were formulated, focusing on 18 development goals at the village level. One region with a still low Village SDGs score is Blora Regency, which recorded a score of 46.20 in 2022. In response to this issue, this community service activity was carried out in collaboration with one of the villages in Blora, namely Gadu Village, Sambong Subdistrict, Blora Regency. This activity was conducted through socialization on the preparation of village development programs based on the SDGs, as well as assistance in village development planning referring to SDGs indicators in accordance with national regulations. Through this community service activity, it is expected that the community and village officials will be able to design strategic programs to accelerate the achievement of the Village SDGs while also supporting the realization of the national vision of Golden Indonesia 2045. This activity had a positive impact on the development planning process in Gadu Village. The results showed several development programs in Gadu Village identified as potentially accelerating Village SDGs achievement and supporting the realization of the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.

Abstract

The Village Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJM Desa) is a strategic planning document formulated for a six-year period, outlining the village’s vision, mission, policy directions, and development priorities. The preparation of the RPJM Desa is carried out by the village government in collaboration with representatives from various community sectors. Parikesit Village, located in Kejajar District, Wonosobo Regency, Central Java Province, holds potential as a nature-based tourism village that could improve the community's economic welfare. However, it is also categorized as a landslide-prone area with a relatively high risk of natural disasters. This community service activity was implemented in collaboration with the Parikesit Village Government through the dissemination of indicators and technical guidance on RPJM Desa formulation to both the community and village officials. The program employed a participatory approach involving socialization and facilitation to ensure active engagement of all village stakeholders. The primary objective of this activity was to enhance stakeholders’ understanding of the indicators and procedures for preparing the RPJM Desa in accordance with national guidelines. The results of this program indicate a significant improvement in the understanding of both community members and village officials regarding the preparation of an RPJM Desa document that aligns with the village’s local potential and actual needs. This activity has contributed to strengthening the village’s institutional capacity for participatory and locally grounded medium-term development planning.

Abstract

Internal quality assurance in schools is a crucial aspect in efforts to improve the quality of education. The application of information technology, such as the SIMAKER S/M application, offers a potential solution to optimize the quality assurance process. This community service aims to provide SIMAKER S/M application training in conducting internal quality assurance in schools in Semarang City. This community service consists of four main stages: (1) Socialization through Focus Group Discussion (FGD), (3) Mentoring, and (4) Evaluation; user satisfaction surveys show that the SIMAKER S/M application greatly facilitates school administration work related to internal quality assurance in schools. The average user satisfaction score is 4.24 for ease of use, 4.42 for increased transparency, and 4.48 for overall benefits. The implementation of the application also succeeded in helping training participants related to the implementation of internal quality assurance and facilitating more accurate reporting. From the results of the community service activities, the results of the responses and feedback from participants were considered very useful in efforts to conduct internal quality assurance in digital-based schools. After conducting self-evaluation through internal quality assurance, it is hoped that schools can follow up on aspects that need to be improved.

Abstract

Environmental awareness, when nurtured from an early age, can develop into a positive habit that becomes embedded in one’s daily life. This community service partnership program was implemented at PAUD Mutiara Kids in Temanggung as a concrete step to build environmental awareness among young learners. Based on evaluations conducted by the community service team, 92% of the students were already able to distinguish between organic and non-organic waste. However, practical skills in waste utilization were still lacking, particularly in using recycled materials for educational purposes. In addition, environmental values had not yet been integrated into students’ daily routines. To address these issues, the “Zero-Waste Lifestyle” program was introduced as a strategic solution to empower teachers, students, and school staff. The program consisted of three key activities: (1) Introducing and promoting the “Zero-Waste Lifestyle” as a method for developing environmental literacy, (2) Facilitating collaborative workshops to create educational toys from recycled materials through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5), and (3) Cultivating environmentally responsible behavior through consistent waste sorting habits. The program led to positive behavioral changes in students, particularly in waste management, and helped foster an environmental awareness aligned with the broader goals of sustainable development.
