Abstract

Islamic education plays a strategic role in shaping high-quality human resources (HR), not only excelling in intellectual aspects but also possessing noble character in accordance with the values of Islamic teachings. In facing the challenges of globalization and the advancement of science and technology, Islamic education is required to develop a holistic and integrative paradigm, internalizing the values of faith, noble character, and spirituality in every dimension of the learning process. Improving the quality of Islamic education becomes an unavoidable agenda to ensure that educational institutions are capable of producing competent graduates who contribute to society. This study aims to examine the role of strategic management in enhancing the quality of Islamic education, using a qualitative approach through literature review. The findings of the study indicate that strategic management plays a crucial role in formulating structured and systematic policies to achieve the goals of Islamic educational institutions. The implications of this research highlight the importance of applying comprehensive strategic management in Islamic educational institutions to create sustainable education quality that meets the demands of the times.

Abstract

The importance of spiritual education in shaping student character in Islamic-based schools, such as Madrasah Aliyah SKB 3 Menteri Bingkat, as well as the challenges faced in integrating Islamic values into students' daily lives. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to explore students' experiences in developing spiritual life through Islamic spiritual organizations. The purpose of this study was to understand the impact of the holistic approach in spiritual education and assess the effectiveness of using various technology-based learning media, including mobile applications, e-learning platforms, learning videos, audio podcasts, web-based interactive resources, ebooks, and education-specific social media. The results showed that this holistic approach significantly improved students' understanding and practice of Islamic teachings. Technology-based learning media proved effective in making religious learning more engaging, accessible and interactive, thereby increasing student motivation and understanding. Support from family and community also plays an important role in strengthening students' spiritual experiences. The conclusion of this study is that a holistic approach that incorporates various learning media and environmental support is an effective strategy to develop students' spiritual lives in Islamic-based schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the limited learning of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) at Madrasah Aliyah SKB 3 Bingkat. Fiqh, as a branch of Islamic science that discusses sharia laws in everyday life, should be a central pillar of religious education. However, observations and interviews indicate that the intensity of fiqh learning at this madrasa remains relatively low, both in terms of teaching time, teacher competence, and learning methods used. Several contributing factors identified include a limited number of competent teachers in fiqh, a lack of relevant teaching materials, and low student interest in the subject. This limited fiqh learning impacts students' poor understanding of Islamic law and its application in daily life. This study recommends improving the quality and quantity of fiqh teaching through teacher training, the provision of engaging learning media, and the integration of active learning methods to increase student participation and understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers' experiences in integrating digital technology into Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning at Harapan Mekar Private High School in Medan. Conducted from July to August 2025, this study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through direct observation in the classroom and a review of relevant literature, which were then analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that teachers play a role in directing the use of digital technology so that it remains in line with the objectives of religious education. However, teachers face a number of obstacles, such as limited digital skills, lack of infrastructure, resistance to change, and high administrative burdens. To overcome these obstacles, teachers implement adaptive strategies by utilizing online platforms (Google Classroom, Google Meet), mobile applications (Muslim Pro, Quran.com, Quizizz), interactive media, and social media (YouTube, Instagram) to increase student motivation and understanding. The success of technology integration is supported by school support, the role of parents, and government policies related to digital literacy, while the main obstacles remain limited resources, low digital literacy among some teachers and students, and the potential for distraction from technology. The conclusion is that the integration of digital technology in PAI learning has a positive impact in the form of increased learning effectiveness, expansion of learning resources, and strengthening of students' digital literacy. However, the success of this integration still requires a balance between the use of technology and character building through the role of teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the importance of students’ etiquette toward teachers in the educational context through a literature review approach. Good manners, such as respect, politeness, and social awareness, play a crucial role in creating an effective and harmonious learning environment. From a psychological perspective, students’ positive behavior supports teachers’ mental well-being and enhances motivation in the teaching and learning process. Conversely, negative student behavior can lead to stress and frustration among teachers. This study also highlights the significance of social interaction within the school environment from the perspective of the sociology of education, particularly through the theories of symbolic interactionism and labeling, which suggest that everyday interactions between students and teachers shape social identity and influence students’ academic performance. The research method used is a literature review, aimed at synthesizing knowledge from various sources to identify research gaps and strengthen the theoretical foundation for future studies. The findings of this review emphasize that students’ etiquette, social relationships, and psychological conditions are integral aspects in building a healthy and sustainable educational system.

Abstract

TikTok has become a significant platform transforming how teachers deliver content and share educational ideas. This study examines the application of teacher professional ethics in using TikTok as a learning tool and educational expression, and its effects on teacher professionalism and student engagement. Using a qualitative descriptive approach through library research, data were analyzed from literature on digital ethics, microlearning pedagogy, and teacher-student interaction. Findings indicate TikTok enables creative, concise, and interactive learning, increasing student motivation. Teachers who apply professional ethics ensuring content integrity, modeling digital behavior, separating personal and professional content, and managing interactions responsibly can optimize the platform’s benefits. Ethical challenges such as privacy, blurred boundaries, and reputational risks persist. Future research should include empirical observation, interviews, and content analysis.
