Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of a multicultural approach in improving students' understanding of the concept of bullying at SD Negeri Cibeber Mandiri 2. The focus of the study includes three things: describing the process of applying a multicultural approach, analyzing significant differences between pretest and posttest results, and measuring improvements in student understanding. The research method used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research population consisted of 52 students, with 26 students as the sample. The multicultural approach was implemented in three sessions that emphasized multicultural values and their relevance to the issue of bullying. The results showed a consistent increase in scores from the first to the third session. The Paired Sample T-Test analysis showed a very significant difference between the pretest and posttest results with a p-value of 0.000. The N-Gain analysis showed that the average increase was in the moderate category with a value of 0.48, which means that this approach is effective, but the results are not uniform across all students. Some students showed very high increases, while others showed low or even negative increases. This confirms the need for more differentiated learning strategies in order to optimally accommodate the needs and characteristics of students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the 7E learning cycle learning model on the mathematical critical thinking abilities of class IV students at SDN 2 Neglasari. The type of quantitative research using a quasiexperimental research design used is the non-equivalent control group design type. This research sample consisted of two groups, namely the experimental group who received learning using the 7E learning cycle model and the control group who received conventional learning. The instrument used to collect data was a mathematical critical thinking ability test in the form of essay questions. The post-test results show that it is in accordance with the hypothesis test, t = 12.875 and t table = 2.025. So at t count > t table so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that the final ability of students in classes that use the 7E learning cycle learning model significantly increases students' mathematical critical thinking abilities compared to conventional learning. The implication of the research is the importance of considering appropriate learning models to improve critical mathematical thinking skills in the context of mathematics education.

Abstract

Learning activities at SDN Pulau Kerasian currently tend to be teacher-centered and have not fully facilitated the active involvement of students in their learning process. This results in students getting less opportunities to be active such as discussing, one of the main factors causing this lack of integration is the unavailability of media and teaching materials at the school and the teacher's limited time. Therefore, researchers developed teaching materials in the form of LKPD based on local wisdom, the purpose of this study was to describe and determine the level of validity, practicality and attractiveness of LKPD based on local wisdom. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D development model (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). Data were collected through validation sheets by experts (media expert lecturers, material expert lecturers, and class teachers as language experts) as well as teacher response questionnaires and 27 students of SDN Pulau Kerasian, then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the study showed that the local wisdom-based science worksheet (LKPD) was declared "Very Valid" with a media validity percentage of 92.67%, material 82%, and language 86.67%. This product was also categorized as "Very Practical" based on a score of 100% from teachers, and "Very Interesting" with an average score of 91.18% from students. It can be concluded that this LKPD is very suitable for use as a learning resource to increase the active involvement and learning motivation of elementary school students.
