Abstract

This study explores the combined effects of emotional intelligence, employee engagement, and psychological well-being on managerial competence within nonprofit organizations. The sector's unique challenges necessitate effective management to balance mission-driven goals with organizational sustainability. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 160 managers through structured questionnaires. Multiple linear regression analysis, conducted using JASP software, revealed that emotional intelligence, employee engagement, and psychological well-being significantly predict managerial competence. The model with these predictors (M₁) explained 84.7% of the variance in managerial competence (R² = 0.849, Adjusted R² = 0.847) and demonstrated a substantial improvement over the baseline model (M₀) with an R² of 0.000. The coefficients for emotional intelligence (β = 0.450, t = 7.223, p < 0.001), employee engagement (β = 0.473, t = 7.826, p < 0.001), and psychological well-being (β = 0.465, t = 7.419, p < 0.001) were all highly significant. Among these, employee engagement had the strongest impact on managerial competence. The ANOVA test confirmed the model's robustness, with an F-value of 293.461 (p < 0.001), indicating that these variables collectively explain a significant portion of the variance in managerial competence. This study highlights the importance of integrating these factors to enhance managerial effectiveness in nonprofit settings.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of utilizing scientific methods of analysis and synthesis in teaching mathematics to enhance students’ learning outcomes. The research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, involving two groups of 10th-grade students: an experimental group taught using the analysis and synthesis methods and a control group taught using conventional methods. Data were collected through pretests, posttests, questionnaires, and classroom observations. Statistical analysis, including t-tests, was applied to evaluate the differences in learning outcomes, while descriptive analysis was used to interpret students’ perceptions and engagement. In this study, the implementation of teaching methods in mathematics within our country is critically assessed, alongside reflections on the effectiveness of using scientific methods to present mathematical concepts to students. The findings reveal that the experimental group achieved significantly higher posttest scores compared to the control group. Additionally, students in the experimental group expressed positive perceptions of the teaching approach, and their engagement in classroom activities improved notably. These results highlight the potential of scientific methods, such as analysis and synthesis, to foster deeper understanding and active participation in mathematics education. This research contributes valuable insights for educators aiming to adopt innovative strategies to enhance teaching practices and improve learning outcomes in mathematics.

Abstract

Therefore, this study aims to analyze and describe the representation of freedom as a manifestation of the nationalist spirit of the SMAN 1 Kandangan Kediri District. The qualitative approach will be used as an approach in this study, involving students, homerooms teacher, and principals in the SMAN 1 Kandangan Kediri District as informants. Data analysis will be carried out according to the qualitative stages as determined qualitatively by three stages of analysis according to the Miles & Huberman model. The results obtained in this study are that the majority of Bengkulu Grakarsa Vocational School students have understood the concept of freedom in accordance with the laws and regulations, while others still have an incorrect understanding. The phenomena encountered by students will shape students' thoughts and attitudes, including negative phenomena in the form of abuse of freedom by government officials. Therefore, efforts are needed from the government to discipline its officials to carry out their duties with full discipline and compliance with statutory regulations. This will be used as an example and practical educational material that forms students' understanding of the concept of freedom in accordance with statutory regulations. The study examines the nationalist ideals of the millennial generation using Kartodirdja's theory, and discovers that when their nationalist spirit dwindles, attempts are made to strengthen it.

Abstract

This study explored the impact of the Desa Prima program in Kalurahan Putat, Yogyakarta Special Region, focusing on its role in empowering women and addressing poverty alleviation. Despite Indonesia's abundant natural resources, poverty remained a persistent issue, exacerbated by gender inequality in labor force participation. The program, introduced by the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, aimed to enhance women's economic productivity through collective business ventures such as coconut sponge cake production. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation to evaluate the program's effectiveness. The findings indicated significant progress in women's economic and social conditions, including improved skills, economic independence, and community cohesion. The success of the program was attributed to structured support, leadership, and ongoing mentoring provided by DP3AP2A. Sociologically, the program demonstrated a shift towards greater gender equality and empowerment. The study concluded that while the program made positive strides, further development through product diversification and educational workshops was necessary for long-term sustainability and broader impact.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of digital storytelling on student engagement and their literacy skills. Digital storytelling, which combines narrative elements with multimedia technology, is expected to improve students' learning experience and enrich literacy skills, both in reading, writing, and critical thinking. In the context of education that is increasingly connected to technology, this approach is considered relevant to increase student motivation and participation in learning. This study uses a quantitative method with a pseudo-experimental design. The research sample consisted of students from several high schools divided into two groups: an experimental group that used digital storytelling in learning and a control group that used traditional methods. Data was collected through student engagement questionnaires and literacy skills tests adapted from the applicable curriculum. The data analysis technique uses a t-test to see the difference between the experimental group and the control group. The results showed that there was a significant increase in student engagement and literacy skills in the experimental group that used digital storytelling. Students who are involved in digital storytelling-based learning show higher motivation in following the learning process and better literacy skills, especially in the aspects of text comprehension and writing creativity. In contrast, the control group that used conventional methods did not show significant changes in both aspects. Based on these results, it can be concluded that digital storytelling has a positive influence on student engagement and their literacy skills. Therefore, the application of digital storytelling in learning can be one of the innovative alternatives to improve the quality of education in this digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between sprint running speed and long jump ability among Grade X students of SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Ulim. The population of this study consisted of all Grade X students of SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Ulim, totaling 150 students. Given the relatively large population, the researcher took 20% of the total population as a sample, amounting to 30 students, using a random sampling technique. Data collection in this study involved measuring sprint running speed using a 50-meter sprint test and long jump ability using a long jump test. Data analysis was conducted using correlational statistical techniques. The data analysis results showed that the average sprint running speed of Grade X students at SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Ulim was 49.98, with a standard deviation of 0.83, and the average long jump ability was 50.10, with a standard deviation of 10.07. The correlation calculation resulted in a value of 0.41. To test the hypothesis, the t-test was used, and the calculated t-value was 2.42, which is greater than the critical t-value of 2.05553. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between sprint running speed and long jump results among Grade X students at SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Ulim. In other words, the hypothesis is accepted. It is recommended that physical education teachers emphasize that muscle strength, speed, and power are key supporting factors in athletic sports, particularly in the long jump event. Teachers should pay more attention to and provide training to improve students' long jump performance.
