Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the factors that influence consumers to decide to buy vegetables in modern markets in Palembang City. It also explores the pull and push factors that drive consumer purchasing decisions in these markets. Method: This research uses both quantitative and qualitative analytical methods. The data were tested using validity and reliability tests, as well as F-test (simultaneous significance) and t-test (partial significance) in multiple linear regression analysis. Results: The regression analysis resulted in a constant value of 0.343, indicating that when price, income, and lifestyle scores are zero, the purchase decision score remains at 0.343. The regression coefficient for the price variable (X1) was 0.375, suggesting a positive relationship between price and purchase decisions. This implies that for every one-unit increase in price (with other variables held constant), the likelihood of purchasing decisions increases by 0.375 units. Conclusions: Price, income, and lifestyle significantly influence consumers' decisions to buy vegetables in modern markets in Palembang. Among these, price has the strongest influence, indicating that affordability remains a critical factor in consumer choice. Limitations: This study is limited to 160 female and young consumers selected through purposive sampling, which may not fully represent the broader population of vegetable buyers in Palembang. Contribution: This research contributes to understanding consumer behavior in urban retail environments and provides valuable input for modern market managers in developing pricing and marketing strategies to attract vegetable buyers.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to determine (1) the income potential of partnered and non-partnered coffee farmers and (2) the factors that affect the income of partnered coffee farmers in Baroko District, Enrekang Regency. Methodology: This research used both qualitative and quantitative methods. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The population consisted of all partnered and non-partnered coffee farmers in the Baroko District. A total of 80 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Both primary and secondary data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and income analysis methods. Results: The findings revealed that the partnership model applied in Baroko District follows a general trade partnership scheme. The factors that significantly affect the income of partnered coffee farmers include production costs, production quantities, partner prices, length of partnership, and experience with the partner. In contrast, variables such as farmer age, education level, and deferred amount did not show a significant influence on income. Conclusion: The study concludes that partnership arrangements can significantly enhance coffee farmer income when supported by appropriate cost control, stable production output, and beneficial partner pricing schemes. Non-partnered farmers tend to earn lower incomes due to less structured support and access to markets. Limitations: This study is limited to partnered and non-partnered coffee farmers in one district and used a relatively small sample. Contribution: This research provides important insights into partnership-based farming and can serve as a reference for policymakers and agricultural institutions in improving farmer income through structured cooperation models.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the factors that influence user acceptance and usage of the Agree Mart mobile groceries marketplace application by applying the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 3 (UTAUT-3) model in the Indonesian context. Research methodology: This research method uses a mixed method by taking a sample of the population of active users in Indonesia and using samples from several respondents, and registered users who have not made transactions Results: It is hoped that this research will provide benefits to add insight and as a digital business reference and material for consideration for meeting daily needs in Indonesia in determining the right strategy both in business and application. Conclusion: The UTAUT-3 model is a useful framework for understanding grocery app adoption in Indonesia. Personal innovativeness plays a dominant role in shaping behavioral intention, while habit and infrastructure support actual usage behavior. Limitations: This study focuses only on one marketplace application (Agree Mart) and does not explore external market or competitor effects. Contribution: This research contributes to digital business strategy literature by extending the applicability of UTAUT-3 to the Indonesian e-groceries sector and providing actionable insights for platform managers to enhance user adoption and retention.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to utilize horn banana peel powder, a form of organic waste, as a biocoagulant to reduce water turbidity in dug wells. It addresses the need for environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternatives to chemical coagulants, particularly for households relying on groundwater in rural areas. Research methodology: This research employed a true experimental design using a pre-test and post-test control group. The treatments consisted of biocoagulant doses of 6 g/L, 7 g/L, and 8 g/L. Turbidity was measured using a Hach 2100Q turbidity meter. Data were analyzed using Paired Sample T-Test, ANOVA with Welch correction, and Games-Howell post hoc test to determine statistical significance. Result: The optimal dose of 8 g/L reduced turbidity from 249 NTU to 2.42 NTU, achieving a 99.03% reduction. Statistical analysis (p < 0.05) confirmed significant differences between all treatment groups, validating the biocoagulant’s effectiveness.Conlusions: Horn banana peel powder is an effective, natural alternative to chemical coagulants for improving groundwater quality. It supports circular bioeconomy practices and complies with Indonesian water quality standards.Limitation : The study focused solely on turbidity and did not assess other water quality parameters (e.g., pH, TDS, BOD).Contribution: This research promotes sustainable water treatment solutions using local, biodegradable materials. It demonstrates the potential of fruit waste reuse in environmental health, particularly for clean water access in low-income communities.
