Abstract

Hypertension is a condition where systolic blood pressure is more than 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure is more than 90 mmHg, which often causes complications, one of which is headache, so it is necessary to provide deep breathing relaxation techniques. Deep breathing relaxation is done by taking a deep breath through the nose, letting it fill the stomach, then exhaling slowly through the mouth for about 3-5 times, this helps reduce pain and lower stress hormone levels. The aim of this scientific paper is to provide non-pharmacological therapy with deep breathing relaxation techniques for hypertension patients with acute pain problems. The research method design is a descriptive case study accompanied by Wong-Baker pain scale measurements. The research sample is 2 elderly patients. The results of the study after administering deep breathing techniques to the first patient showed a decrease in pain with an initial scale of 6-7 until the patient did not feel pain and in the second patient the decrease occurred from a scale of 4-5 until there was no more pain. So it can be concluded that this deep breathing technique has an effect on reducing pain. Deep breathing relaxation techniques taught to patients can have a significant effect in reducing the level of pain experienced by patients with hypertension with pain problems.

This research method uses a descriptive method with a case study, involving 2 patients who experienced problems causing aggressive behavior and violent behavior at the Prof. Mental Hospital. DR. Muhammad Ilrem Medan. The research results of the two respondents while undergoing Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) for 3 days with 6 meetings showed that both respondents succeeded in controlling their emotions and reducing violent behavior after being given therapy from SP 1 to SP 5. In conclusion, giving Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) can control the patient's emotional violent behavior. It is hoped that this research suggestion can be used as a reference for further research in psychiatric nursing, especially for efforts to control aggressive behavior and violent behavior by providing rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT).

The instruments used were a family nursing assessment sheet, an observation sheet, and a warm compress SOP. The results of this study in both responses stated a decrease in pain in the affected limb, the first patient said a scale of 5 to 2, and the second patient from a scale of 6 to 3. Analysis of the research results showed that warm compresses were effective in reducing pain and required a family role in the care of gout arthritis patients. In conclusion and recommendations, active family involvement and routine non-pharmacological interventions are effective in reducing patient pain levels and increasing comfort during home care. Suggestions for families are expected to encourage them to play an active role in caring for family members with gouty arthritis.

Abstract

Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD) is a group that helps new mothers start breastfeeding their babies immediately after birth, usually on the same day. This study aimed to determine community knowledge about how to initiate breastfeeding early at the Firda Hasanah Clinic in Guntung Village, Tanjung Tiram District. This research methodology uses a descriptive survey method and is cross-sectional in nature, with data. Although there were 36 respondents, the sample was determined using a sampling technique known as "sampling determination technique," which states that every time we use an entire group of people or objects as a sample, it occurs when the group is quite small. Not as high as thirty people, and the sample size in this study was a minimum of thirty-six pregnant women who participated in pregnancy at the Firda Hasanah Clinic. The research findings regarding pregnant women's understanding of the implementation of initiation management at the Firda Hasanah clinic, Guntung Village, Tanjung Tiram District can be categorized as "Quite Good" with a percentage of 63.6%. The goal of the Pregnant Women's program is to help students understand the importance of early breastfeeding initiation, starting with themselves, as well as with their friends and family, so that early breastfeeding can be as effective as possible during the most crucial period, the first hour after birth. If the diet plan is successful, strict infant feeding for six months can also be successful, so that the baby receives the best nutrition from the mother.

Abstract

Correct breastfeeding technique is a crucial factor in the success of exclusive breastfeeding and the prevention of complications such as sore nipples or engorgement. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of breastfeeding mothers regarding proper breastfeeding techniques in Karang Baru Village. The research method used was descriptive quantitative. The population in this study was all 29 breastfeeding mothers in Karang Baru Village. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, resulting in a sample of 21 respondents. The data collection instrument used a structured questionnaire covering breastfeeding position, baby attachment, and release techniques. The results showed a diverse distribution of respondents' knowledge levels, with 69.3% of respondents with sufficient knowledge. This finding indicates that the majority of breastfeeding mothers in the study area still have less than optimal or uneven knowledge. The lack of information regarding lactation management is a major obstacle to implementing proper breastfeeding techniques. The conclusion of this study is that the low percentage of those with sufficient knowledge requires an active role for health workers in providing ongoing education. It is recommended that village midwives and health cadres conduct practical demonstrations of breastfeeding techniques regularly to improve mothers' skills and confidence in breastfeeding.
