Abstract

Hypertension is a condition in which a person's blood pressure is higher than normal. This means that the blood pressure that pushes blood through the blood vessels is stronger than it should be, and can be at risk of causing damage to important organs such as the heart, brain, and kidneys. Normal blood pressure is 120/80 mmHg. Blood pressure is considered high if the systolic (upper number) is 140 mmHg and the diastolic (lower number) is 90 mmHg. Purpose to reduce acute pain in patients with hypertension. Method: the method used in compiling this case is a descriptive analytical method in the form of a case study for the approach process in applying deep breathing relaxation techniques. Results: The results of the study in patient I before the administration of deep breathing relaxation techniques, the pain experienced was on a scale of 8 (very severe). after giving deep breathing relaxation techniques, the pain became a scale of 2-3 (mild pain). in patient II before the administration of deep breathing relaxation techniques, the pain experienced was on a scale of 4-6 (moderate pain). After giving deep breathing relaxation techniques, the pain became a scale of 2-3 (mild pain). Conclusion: Open deep breathing relaxation techniques allow patients to reduce pain levels.

Abstract

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) occurs due to infection that occurs in the upper and lower urinary tract, where the presence of bacteria ranges from around 10.5 colonies per milliliter (CFU/ml) in a urine sample. To treat the main complaint in the form of pain, nurses can intervene with pharmacological therapy in the form of antibiotics and non-pharmacological therapy such as warm compresses to relieve pain, namely by applying warm compresses to the painful area. The purpose of writing this scientific paper is so that researchers can provide health education to patients and carry out nursing care for patients suffering from UTI with complaints of acute pain at the Kisaran City Hospital. This study uses a descriptive approach in the form of a case study. The results showed that giving warm compresses using WWZ (warm water zack) or better known as hot bubbles to the patient's painful area was proven to be able to reduce pain levels. In client 1, the pain that was initially on a scale of 6-7 decreased to 3-4, while for client 2, the pain level that was initially on a scale of 5-6 decreased to 2-3. The identified nursing diagnosis is acute pain related to physiological injury, indicated by pain during urination. The conclusion is that giving warm compresses is one of the effective non-pharmacological methods to reduce the pain felt by clients suffering from Urinary Tract Infection.

Abstract

Urinary tract infection is a disease that attacks the urinary tract in the kidneys, ureters, bladder, or urethra caused by the spread of bacterial infection. This condition generally causes pain. Deep breathing relaxation is one of the non-pharmacological therapies to overcome pain. This scientific paper is used to implement deep breathing relaxation techniques in patients with urinary tract infections with acute pain problems. The method used in compiling this case is a descriptive method, namely providing an overview of the health and nursing problems faced by patients with urinary tract infections. The results of the study after administering deep breathing techniques to the first patient showed a decrease in pain with an initial scale of 4-6 until the patient did not feel pain. And the second patient with a pain scale of 6-7 until there was no more pain, so it can be concluded that this deep breathing technique has an effect on reducing pain. It can be concluded that the deep breathing relaxation technique taught to patients can reduce the level of pain experienced by patients with urinary tract infections.

Abstract

Stunting is a disorder of growth and development of children due to chronic malnutrition and recurrent infections, which is characterized by their length or height being below standard. Stunting toddlers are included in chronic nutritional problems caused by many factors such as socio-economic conditions, maternal nutrition during pregnancy, illness in infants, and lack of nutritional intake in infants. This writing method uses a case study method with a family nursing care approach to An.Hi, a stunting patient with 1 child patient. Data collection uses family nursing care which includes assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Based on the analysis of data obtained from the assessment, there is one priority diagnosis, namely nutritional deficit related to the inability to absorb nutrients, characterized by a weight loss of at least 10% below the ideal range. The supporting factor in this case study is the willingness of all family members to improve An.Hi's nutritional status. It is expected that the family should be able to recognize the health problems of their family members, then the family can decide what actions should be taken immediately, caring for sick family members.

Abstract

Chronic kidney failure is a progressive, irreversible kidney function, fluid and electrolyte imbalance causing retention of urea and other nitrogenous waste in the blood. Hemodialysis is a method of flowing blood into a dialyzer (artificial kidney tube). While physical health is a condition of the human body where every organ or part of the human body functions well, while patients with chronic kidney failure do not support. This study uses a Cross Sectional research design with a "Descriptive Survey" approach with a population of 83 people in the hemodialysis room of the Setio Husodo Kisaran Hospital. The sampling technique uses the Saturated Sampling technique with a sample size of 20 respondents. Data collection techniques by means of observation interviews, documentation, and filling out questionnaires and using yes and no categories. From the results of this study, the results obtained were the majority of male patients aged 26-35 years, a history of undergoing hemodialysis <1 year with good physical health of 74%. The conclusion is that the physical health of chronic kidney failure patients is in the good category. It is hoped that chronic kidney failure patients who have experience with hemodialysis can improve their physical health even more. The better their physical health, the less complaints will be experienced by chronic kidney failure patients.

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (pulmonary TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and attacks lung tissue. One of the common nursing problems found in patients with pulmonary TB is ineffective airway clearance, which is characterized by coughing up phlegm, shortness of breath, and additional breath sounds. Proper handling of this problem is very important to prevent further complications. This study was conducted to provide an overview of nursing care for clients with Pulmonary Tuberculosis respiratory system disorders who experience nursing problems of ineffective airway clearance. This case study used a nursing process approach that includes assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, physical examinations, and documentation studies. The results found that the main problem was ineffective airway clearance. Interventions carried out included the semi-Fowler position, effective coughing recommendations, administration of warm fluids, and sputum observation. The evaluation showed an improvement in symptoms in the form of reduced shortness of breath, easier sputum to expel, and improved breathing patterns. It was concluded that nursing care with a systematic approach can help improve respiratory function in patients with pulmonary TB with ineffective airway clearance problems.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is a cancer that attacks the lower end of the uterus that protrudes into the vagina, is generally invisible, but can be felt by the sufferer. The early stages of uterine cancer begin with gradual cell mutation, but are progressive and eventually develop into carcinoma. Cervical cancer can spread through blood vessels, lymph vessels, or directly to other vital organs. Until now, cervical cancer is still the first disease that most often attacks women in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of knowledge of young women about the symptoms of cervical cancer. This type of research is a descriptive survey and the design of this study is cross-sectional. The population is 41 students and the sample obtained is 19 women, the sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Based on the results of the study on the knowledge of young women about the symptoms of cervical cancer, the results obtained were with a score of 3.422 (34.22%), it can be concluded that the knowledge of young women about the symptoms of cervical cancer is categorized as "not good". It is recommended for young women to further explore knowledge about the symptoms of cervical cancer so that it can be detected early, and it is hoped that young women should seek more information about the symptoms of uterine cancer to increase knowledge about the symptoms of cervical cancer.

Abstract

Deep breathing technique is one type of breathing technique, and can reduce pain in mothers in labor non-pharmacologically by taking a deep breath during contractions using diaphragmatic breathing through the nose so that the abdomen is lifted slowly, the chest expands fully will flow oxygen to the blood which is then distributed throughout the body will release endorphin hormones which are natural pain relievers in the body. This study uses a "Descriptive Survey" research design and this research method is Cross Sectional with an approach. The population in this study was 160 families in Dusun II, Pasiran Village, using the Simple Random Sampling technique with a sample size of 20 respondents. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews, documentation, and filling out questionnaires and using the categories know and do not know. From the results of this study, the results obtained about the description of maternal knowledge about reducing labor pain using deep breathing techniques are said to be in the "Good" category where the score is 13 with a presentation of 86.6%. The conclusion of the study is that deep breathing techniques can reduce pain in mothers in labor. It is expected that mothers who have experience giving birth, when accompanying mothers giving birth, teach mothers according to their experience how to deal with labor pain so that mothers who do not have experience do not feel afraid.

Abstract

Type II Diabetes Mellitus is one of the endocrine system disorders characterized by chronic hyperglycemia due to insulin resistance and/or decreased insulin secretion. One of the common complications that often accompanies it is nutritional deficit, which has the potential to worsen the metabolic condition and quality of life of patients. This study aims to describe the nursing care provided to Mr. A, a patient with Type II Diabetes Mellitus who experiences nutritional deficit. The nursing process approach is used in the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. The main nursing diagnosis raised is nutritional deficit related to decreased food intake due to decreased appetite and metabolic disorders. Nursing interventions include monitoring nutritional status, providing education about diabetes diet, and psychological support to improve patient compliance and appetite. The evaluation results showed an increase in body weight, improvement in laboratory values, and an increase in daily food intake. Appropriate and collaborative nursing care can improve the nutritional status of patients with Type II DM, as well as prevent further complications. It is hoped that this case study can be a reference in clinical nursing practice, especially in treating patients with metabolic disorders and nutritional problems.
