Abstract

The quality of education at the elementary school level is a crucial foundation for developing students' cognitive abilities, character, and 21st-century competencies. In line with the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, the deep learning approach is a learning strategy that emphasizes in-depth conceptual understanding, critical and reflective thinking, and the connection of knowledge to real-life contexts. This study aims to examine the implementation of the deep learning approach in improving the quality of education at the elementary level and identify challenges in its implementation. The method used was library research, analyzing scientific journals, academic books, educational regulations, and relevant official documents. The study results indicate that the deep learning approach, through the integration of meaningful, mindful, and joyful learning, can improve the quality of learning processes and outcomes and support students' achievement of global competencies. However, its implementation still faces obstacles, particularly in teacher readiness, limited practical training, student developmental characteristics, and supporting facilities and infrastructure. Therefore, systemic and sustainable support is needed for optimal implementation of deep learning in improving the quality of elementary education.

Abstract

School accreditation is an educational quality assurance system that functions to assess the feasibility and quality of educational provision in various institutions, including Senior High Schools (SMA). This study reviews the basic concepts, objectives, assessment components, and stages of senior high school accreditation in Indonesia, which are guided by the National Education Standards (Standar Nasional Pendidikan/SNP). The Christian Theological Senior High School (Sekolah Menengah Teologi Kristen/SMTK) is a formal secondary education institution under the Ministry of Religious Affairs that integrates general education with distinctive Christian theological characteristics, aiming to develop students who are faithful, of strong character, and academically competent at a level equivalent to SMA. To ensure its quality, SMTK is required to undergo accreditation. This literature review indicates that accreditation plays a strategic role in ensuring the quality of educational services in SMTK, in alignment with the National Education Standards (SNP) while simultaneously maintaining the distinctive standards of Christian religious education. The school accreditation process (for both public and private schools) functions as a mechanism for evaluating and improving educational quality. The stages begin with preparation (the formation of a team, socialization, training, data/document collection, and the preparation of a self-evaluation report), followed by the completion of accreditation instruments covering three main aspects: management, educational/learning processes, and facilities and infrastructure. Accreditation provides formal recognition of school quality and encourages continuous improvement and innovation. After the visitation, the assessment is conducted through data verification, observation, interviews, and documentation of facilities by assessors. The assessors analyze school performance based on national standards and produce a report that determines the accreditation status (A, B, C, or Not Accredited), along with recommendations for improvements to be implemented.

Abstract

The development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has brought Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology into the world of education, including in Christian Religious Education (PAK) learning, which has previously seemed boring for Generation Z. This study aims to examine how AI is used to improve PAK learning outcomes in schools and determine the important role of teachers in the digital era. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analytical approach through a literature study from 2020 to 2025. The results show that the use of AI functions as a digital tool in an adaptive learning system that helps students understand complex religious concepts according to their abilities. The use of AI has increased student participation and made the learning process more efficient, but its success depends heavily on the teacher's ability to combine technology, pedagogy, and teaching materials. PAK teachers have a crucial role as facilitators, mentors, and ethical guardians to ensure that the use of technology remains in accordance with biblical teachings and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In conclusion, by collaborating between AI technology and the strategic role of teachers, a dynamic and changing PAK learning environment can be created, while still maintaining the values of Christian character development.

Abstract

Entering the current digital era, education requires changes in how people behave, making it a crucial factor in transforming the way educational institutions operate. This study, conducted using a literature review method from 2020 to 2026, aims to analyze the role of behavioral management in improving the quality of education. The results of this study reveal that the quality of education is strongly influenced by positive attitudes and a passion for learning within individuals, as well as solid teamwork. Transformational leadership plays a crucial role as a guide that creates security for teachers to continue innovating. Meanwhile, a flexible and adaptive organizational culture serves as a moral foundation in facing the changes that occur. Management must be able to overcome objections to change with a humane and data-driven approach. In conclusion, improving the quality of education in the digital era can only be achieved through a combination of the use of advanced technology and the development of responsive and professional organizational behavior.

Abstract

Multicultural society is a social reality characterized by diversity in ethnicity, culture, language, and religion coexisting within the same social environment. This condition requires an educational approach that not only instills religious values but also fosters tolerance, inclusivity, and civility. Islamic Religious Education (IRE) plays a strategic role in addressing these challenges through the internalization of Islamic values in a comprehensive manner. This article aims to examine the concept of internalizing Islamic religious education, the role of IRE in a multicultural context, and the strategies for internalizing Islamic values in social life. This study employs a qualitative library research method by analyzing various relevant sources, including books, scholarly journals, and academic articles. The collected data are analyzed using a descriptive qualitative approach to obtain an in-depth theoretical understanding. The findings indicate that the internalization of Islamic religious education must integrate cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects holistically. Islamic religious education developed through contextual approaches, educators’ role modeling, habituation of tolerant attitudes, and open dialogue can effectively shape moderate and inclusive religious perspectives. Therefore, the internalization of Islamic religious education significantly contributes to the formation of individuals who are faithful, possess noble character, and are capable of living harmoniously within a multicultural society.

Abstract

Arabic language learning is often trapped in mechanical approaches and rigid grammatical formalism, triggering high levels of Foreign Language Anxiety (FLA) among students. This psycholinguistic phenomenon results in an elevated affective filter, which significantly hinders working memory capacity and the natural language acquisition process. This conceptual article aims to deconstruct the traditional learning paradigm by proposing a Love-Based Curriculum approach as a pedagogical solution. Utilizing a library research method with a traditional literature review, this study synthesizes modern psycholinguistic literature and classical Islamic educational philosophy. The findings indicate that reducing FLA cannot be resolved solely through technical methodological improvements; it requires the transformation of the teacher-student relationship from a transactional and punitive nature to one that is relational, appreciative, and dialogical. The integration of values such as love (maḥabbah), empathy, and the creation of a psychologically safe space within the Love-Based Curriculum theoretically proves capable of suppressing stress hormones and lowering students' affective filters. In conclusion, through the pedagogy of love, language errors are positioned as a natural process of linguistic development, thereby transforming Arabic language learning into a humanizing, inclusive, and intimidation-free experience.

Abstract

The development of character in early childhood cannot rely solely on incidental learning; it requires consistent habituation that is systematically integrated into daily school activities. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of daily devotion activities in shaping early childhood character at School X. This research employed a qualitative approach with a best practice study design. The participants included the principal and teachers of the 5–6-year-old group, selected through purposive sampling. Observational data show that the majority of children (approximately 60–70%) demonstrated a positive tendency in behavioral change in their daily activities. Therefore, daily devotion activities can be regarded as a best practice that supports holistic character development in early childhood education.
