Abstract

This study examines the use of the niqab as a form of Muslim women’s identity from the perspective of Islamic Family Law. The research focuses on the protection of women’s honor, family relations, and the social dynamics that emerge in contemporary society. This study employs a qualitative method using a normative-sociological approach through library research. Data were collected from primary Islamic sources, including the Qur’an and hadith, as well as Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) literature, academic journals, and other relevant scholarly works. The findings indicate that the niqab is generally understood as part of the effort to preserve personal dignity and family honor (hifz al-‘irdh), which is one of the important objectives within the framework of maqashid al-sharia. However, its legal status remains subject to scholarly disagreement (khilafiyah), where some jurists consider it obligatory while others regard it as recommended or context-dependent. The study also reveals that the practice of wearing the niqab is influenced by various factors, including religious conviction, family expectations, cultural context, and social interaction in public spaces. Furthermore, the use of the niqab should take into account public benefit (maslahah), family harmony, and respect for women’s autonomy in making religious choices. This study concludes that the niqab is not an absolute obligation but a contextual religious practice that must be understood within the broader framework of Islamic Family Law, emphasizing balance between religious principles, social realities, and the protection of human dignity.

Abstract

This study analyses the implementation of Mataram Mayor Regulation Number 20 of 2018 in managing ASN professional zakat, particularly its effect on zakat receipts, institutional synergy, and awareness in fulfilling zakat and tax obligations. It uses a qualitative approach with an empirical juridical method. Data were obtained through interviews with ASN, Zakat Collection Unit administrators, BAZNAS Mataram City managers, and counsellors from KPP Pratama West Mataram, alongside regulatory documents and zakat receipt reports. Data were analysed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, while validity was tested through source triangulation, member checking, and peer discussion. The findings show that the regulation increases and stabilises ASN receipts through a direct deduction system. ASN ZIS receipts rose from around Rp2.5 billion in 2016 to around Rp6.6 billion by October 2025. However, ASN compliance remains administrative because it is driven by payroll, not substantive awareness. This study emphasises regulatory harmonisation, zakat-tax literacy, and reporting transparency.

Abstract

This study discusses the management of Non-Tax State Revenue (Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak/BNBP) management at the Technical Implementation Unit of the Lombok Embarkation Hajj Dormitory for the 2022–2024 period. The main problem of this study departs from the lack of optimal utilization of Hajj Dormitory facilities outside the Hajj season, even though these facilities have great potential as a source of PNBP through the rental of buildings, lodging rooms, manasik areas, and other supporting services. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research informants include the Head of Technical Implementation Unit (Unit Pelaksana Teknis/UPT), the Head of the PNBP Team, the PNBP Treasurer, and employees involved in the management and reporting of PNBP. The results of the study show that PNBP management is carried out through asset optimization, service quality improvement, strengthening human resources, service promotion, administrative digitalization, and cross-agency cooperation. The realization of PNBP shows an increasing trend, namely IDR 1,023,915,000 in 2022, IDR 1,936,310,000 in 2023, and IDR 2,502,870,000 in 2024. However, management still faces obstacles in the form of budget limitations, limited facilities and infrastructure, lack of socialization, public stigma that Hajj Dormitory is only for pilgrims, competition with the private sector, and limited digital innovation. This study concludes that increasing PNBP requires a professional asset management strategy, intensive digital promotion, strengthening human resources, modernizing facilities, and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Abstract

Self-regulated learning (SRL) is important for deaf students because upper secondary education requires greater independence in planning, monitoring, and evaluating learning. This pilot study developed and tested an adaptive visual-hybrid learning model grounded in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) for deaf students at SLB Negeri Kota Metro. A quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design was used with 11 students in experimental and control classes. The intervention combined visual supports, captioned and text-based materials, flexible online-offline access, accessible task pathways, and guided self-monitoring activities. Data were collected through an SRL questionnaire, classroom observation, and documentation. The experimental group showed higher improvement than the control group, with mean scores increasing from 62.45 to 82.30 compared with 63.10 to 71.25. The gain scores were 0.53 and 0.22, respectively, and the independent-samples t-test indicated a statistically significant between-group difference (t = 4.87, p < 0.05). The findings suggest that visually accessible hybrid instruction aligned with UDL may support stronger SRL among deaf learners in this setting.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of Wordwall educational games on the learning interest of fifth-grade elementary school students in Pancasila Education. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a posttest-only non-equivalent control group design. The population consisted of fifth-grade students in SD Gugus IX Mengwi, Badung. The sample was selected through random sampling, involving 19 students of SD No. 1 Gulingan as the experimental class and 28 students of SD No. 3 Gulingan as the control class. Data were collected using a learning interest questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistics, assumption testing, and an independent sample t-test. The results showed that the mean score of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. The independent sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000, which was lower than 0.05. This finding indicated that Wordwall educational games had a significant effect on students’ learning interest. Wordwall provided interactive, enjoyable, and game-based learning experiences that encouraged students’ attention and participation in Pancasila Education learning.

Abstract

Declarations of climate emergency have arisen as a worldwide reaction to the intensifying peril of climate change, signifying an increasing political and legal acknowledgment of the climate issue. Following the initial statement by the Darebin local government in Australia in 2016, several governments globally have enacted analogous declarations to underscore the imperative of climate action. This study investigates the responses of national and international legal systems to climate emergency declarations and evaluates the various strategies employed by states in combating climate change. This research use qualitative methods, including case study and comparative methodologies, to assess legal developments, climate litigation, and policy implementation in multiple nations. The results indicate that climate emergency declarations, while frequently symbolic, are progressively impacting judicial review, public accountability, and environmental governance. Significant climate litigation cases, including Urgenda Foundation v. State of the Netherlands, Juliana v. United States, and Leghari v. Federation of Pakistan, exemplify the increasing influence of courts in pressuring governments and corporations to meet climate responsibilities. Moreover, international legal frameworks like the Paris Agreement and the UNFCCC establish significant normative bases for national climate policies. The study indicates notable disparities in state responses, with wealthy nations typically exhibiting superior institutional and financial capabilities for executing climate policy, whereas poor nations often encounter political, economic, and infrastructural constraints. Ultimately, climate emergency declarations serve as both political statements and mechanisms that can promote enhanced legal accountability, policy reform, and international collaboration in addressing the global climate problem.

Abstract

A totalitarian regime is a system of power that seeks to control various aspects of people's lives through propaganda, discrimination, and restrictions on individual freedoms. This condition often gives rise to various forms of civil resistance in response to oppressive practices carried out by the state. This study aims to identify the representation of civil resistance against a totalitarian regime in the movie Truth and Treason through Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. This study uses a qualitative method with semiotic analysis techniques that focus on three levels of meaning: denotation, connotation, and myth. The results show that civil resistance is represented through three main forms: (1) rejection of national identity, (2) rejection of discrimination, and rejection of restrictions on freedom of expression. This study concludes that civil resistance is not always manifested through physical action or direct confrontation, but can also be represented through symbolic and non-violent actions that convey the meaning of rejecting injustice. As the results, the movie Truth and Treason demonstrates that moral courage, human solidarity, and freedom of thought can be effective forms of resistance in the face of the domination of totalitarian regimes.

Abstract

Working adult women face multiple role demands that may affect their psychological well-being. This systematic review aims to examine factors influencing Psychological well-being among working women using a systematic literature review (SLR) approach guided by PRISMA. The literature search identified 302 articles, which were screened to obtain 21 eligible studies. The findings indicate that Psychological well-being is influenced by individual factors (self-compassion and resilience), work-related factors (workload, job satisfaction, and organizational support), as well as social and contextual factors (social support, work-life balance, and changes in work systems). This finding confirms that the Psychological well-being of working women is a multidimensional construct that is influenced by the interaction of internal and external factors, thus requiring an integrative approach in efforts to improve psychological well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate and synthesise the concepts, objectives, and characteristics of producer economics from an Islamic perspective through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The background of this study stems from the dominance of conventional economic views that position producers as purely rational actors oriented towards profit maximisation, often overlooking dimensions of ethics, social justice, and moral responsibility. This study argues that Islamic economics offers an alternative paradigm in which production activities are regarded as value-driven endeavours directed not only towards material achievement but also spiritual fulfilment. Using the PRISMA protocol, the study systematically reviewed 65 scholarly articles published in reputable journals, which were subsequently analysed through thematic analysis and qualitative meta-synthesis. The findings indicate that Islamic producer economics emphasises a balance between material efficiency and spiritual accountability, grounded in Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah, Islamic production ethics, tawhidic rationality, and social welfare orientation. Four major themes emerged from the literature: maqashid-based production, Islamic production ethics, tawhidic rationality, and social welfare orientation. This study concludes that Islamic producer economics constitutes a normative and holistic framework that rejects exploitative practices while integrating economic efficiency with moral and spiritual values, thereby providing a strong theoretical foundation for the development of empirical research and value-based production policies.

Abstract

This study examined the effects of academic stress and emotion regulation on nomophobia among undergraduate students at an Indonesian university. A quantitative correlational design was employed involving 200 active undergraduate students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Academic Stress Inventory (ASI), Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), and Nomophobia Questionnaire (NMP-Q), and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings revealed that neither academic stress nor emotion regulation significantly predicted nomophobia, either individually or simultaneously. The regression model also demonstrated limited explanatory power, indicating that these variables accounted for only a small proportion of variation in nomophobia. These results suggest that nomophobia among university students may be more strongly influenced by other psychological and behavioral factors, such as smartphone usage intensity, fear of missing out (FoMO), social media dependency, and self-control.The study contributes to the nomophobia literature by providing evidence that academic stress and emotion regulation may not constitute primary determinants of nomophobia in higher education settings. This finding highlights the need for future research to explore broader digital behavioral and psychosocial factors in explaining smartphone-related dependence among university students.
