The challenge in Islamic Education learning is a deep understanding of Islamic ethical values. However, the challenge faced in this education is how to deliver the material effectively so that students not only understand the religious concepts but are also able to apply those ethical values in their practice. One method that has emerged as an alternative in improving learning effectiveness is Mind Mapping. Despite the use of learning media, the lack of variety in teaching methods often reduces student activity and makes the learning atmosphere less interesting. Learning methods that focus on lectures and memorization make it difficult for students to understand the material deeply, so students' understanding of ethical values in PAI learning becomes less than ideal. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of mind mapping as a method to improve understanding of ethical values in PAI learning at SMPN 2 Krejengan. The research method used qualitative research with a case study approach carried out at SMPN 2 K Rejengan, while the stages in the research were observation, interviews and documentation and then processed using data. Data were collected through tests of understanding of ethical values before and after the intervention, as well as collecting students' perceptions of the use of mind mapping in PAI learning. The results of the study showed that the use of mind mapping significantly improved the understanding of Islamic ethical values. However, the use of mind mapping at SMPN 2 Krejengan not only increased students' understanding of ethical values in Islam, but also received positive support from students as an effective and fun learning tool. And there are some students who consider mind mapping as a less effective technique in certain cases, especially if it is not supported by adequate teaching or if there are obstacles in understanding the mind map structure created by the teacher.

The study aims to understand how the P5 program is applied and analyze activities that foster creativity. Using a narrative descriptive method, data is collected through interviews and observations. Findings reveal that the Independent Curriculum, which emphasizes the Pancasila Student Profile (P5) project, has been integrated into pesantren education through various extracurricular activities that support student creativity. However, several challenges hinder creativity development, including limited resources and rigid learning methods. To address these issues, proposed efforts include providing creativity training for teachers, adopting versatile and interactive teaching methods, enhancing facilities, increasing curriculum flexibility, and fostering a culture that values failure as part of learning. By implementing these solutions, student creativity can be nurtured in alignment with the goals of the Merdeka Curriculum in modern boarding schools

Papua is known for its non-Muslim population, but the opposite fact shows that the Islamic community has been established since 1512. Therefore, it is relevant to explore the existence of Muslims in West Papua Province with current conditions. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of grounded theory. In collecting data, observation and in-depth interviews are used. The main instrument is the researcher himself, then accompanied by observation guidelines and interview guides. This research shows that there are three findings, namely leadership and customs, religiosity and diversity, and the spirit of learning. The main findings show that Muslims in the region, especially in West Papua itself, not only try to maintain their traditions but also always maintain religious harmony with other people. This attitude does not arise spontaneously, there is a very long historical journey so that they can coexist with others as a family. However, not all of them can accept it because some of these people still want to separate themselves from Indonesia because for them Papua has its own independence.

The At-Turas curriculum is a learning system based on classical Islamic literature (kitab kuning) rooted in the Islamic intellectual tradition. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the At-Turas Curriculum as a standard of scholarship at Ma’had Aly Nurul Jadid and its implications for the academic quality of the students. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the implementation of the At-Turas Curriculum at Ma’had Aly Nurul Jadid follows a systematic learning structure, encompassing various Islamic disciplines such as fiqh, tafsir, hadith, ushul fiqh, and tasawwuf. This curriculum is supported by teaching methods such as bandongan, sorogan, bahtsul masail, and mudzakarah, which play a crucial role in enhancing students' understanding of classical texts. Furthermore, the curriculum integrates the pesantren’s traditional methodology with modern academic approaches, fostering a balanced knowledge framework between textual comprehension and contextual understanding. The study concludes that the At-Turas Curriculum significantly contributes to shaping students’ intellectual character, preserving the Islamic scholarly tradition, and addressing contemporary challenges. Therefore, optimizing and developing this curriculum is essential to maintain its relevance in the context of modern Islamic education.

This research focuses on the contestation of quality indicators in Islamic education and its implications for the character crisis among students, with the aim of revitalizing and developing adaptive assessment instruments that integrate substantive character and 21st-century competencies. Employing a mixed-methods approach with an exploratory sequential design, a case study was conducted at MA Nurul Jadid Paiton. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with the school principal, teachers, committee members, and students, as well as document studies. Thematic analysis was used for qualitative data, while descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were applied to quantitative data. The findings reveal a significant disconnection between conventional quality indicators and the manifestation of a character crisis, such as a lack of initiative, empathy, and resilience, which are not effectively measured by existing instruments. The novelty lies in the design of an adaptive instrument that integrates three dimensions of competence: character, digital literacy and critical thinking. Key data indicate that 76% of teachers believe the current quality indicators do not reflect the realities of character-based learning in the field. Consequently, this research proposes the Islamic Education Quality Assessment Instrument Model Based on Digital Character Ecosystem (IPMBEKD), expected to be a fundamental solution for holistically measuring quality, fostering pedagogical change, and strengthening character formation in the digital age.
