Abstract

The research at hand addresses a consequential concern related to PT XYZ's procurement procedure, specially their process to order raw materials for the production process in excessive quantities. This practice of them lead to the accretion of raw materials with in the company's warehouse due to limited storage capacity. The focal point of this study is to determine the optimal quantity of ordering raw materials and to indicate the suitable warehouse size that will result in the most cost effective total inventory management. To accomplish this objective, the research adopts well-establishes process EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) model with ll development. Moreover the study considers the significant of warehouse capacity by implementing the Lagrange Multiplier Method. Eventually consequences of the research display that the optimal order quantities for raw material A and B are 55.2 tons and 36.8 tons respectively. Additionally the study indicate that the optimal total inventory cost for raw materials A and B, representing to Rp21,362,417 and Rp17,533,999, respectively.

Abstract

A good job is one where completion time is short and accurate. To support the progress and get the results of loading and unloading performance measurement, it is necessary to use the right method of working time measurement and workload calculation to provide accurate information on the optimal time and workload size. PT Agung Raya is a private company engaged in logistics services. This kind of research is quantitative. This study directly measured work time, namely 3 containers of stripping activities and 3 containers of release cargo activities. The time-motion study method aims to determine the standard time of each work element, the amount of productivity and non-productivity, and the optimal workload for stripping and release cargo activities. The result of the standard time for stripping activities is 82 minutes with 74% productivity and release cargo activities require 52.3 minutes to complete with 88% productivity. The results of the workload analysis for the stripping and release cargo activities, which are owned by the workforce, exceed 100%, so there are suggestions for additional labour.

Abstract

Terminal 3 is one of the terminals located at Soekarno Hatta Airport. This terminal has international and domestic airline services for as many as 37 airlines. Problems in service still often occur, both problems in terms of facilities, airlines or passengers such as queued check-in counters, requests for golf car services, far gate complaints, lost & found, no gate listed, delayed and others. In this study, to find solutions to problems in aviation services, a research approach was carried out using quantitative methods between airport facilities, airlines and passengers by distributing questionnaires to passengers and analyzed to determine the relationship between services at Terminal 3 from these three sides. Based on the results of the regression analysis using SPSS 24 software, it was found that airport facilities were 0.642, airlines were 0.295 and passengers were 0.040 so that they had a positive or simultaneous effect on service, and with partial hypothesis testing, facilities and airlines had an effect on service, while passengers had no effect.

Abstract

Incidents related to hazardous goods can have serious impacts on safety, the environment, and a company's reputation. Therefore, effective and safe handling of hazardous goods is crucial for logistics companies. This research aims to analyze and improve the hazardous goods handling system at PT. XYZ with the goal of reducing the potential for incidents. In this study, the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method is used as the main analytical tool. The first step involves identifying potential incidents that could occur in the hazardous goods handling process. Then, the key causative factors of these incidents are determined through Fishbone. From here, these causative factors are further analyzed to identify weak points in the system that could lead to incidents. After identifying these weak points, the next step is to design improvement recommendations. These recommendations encompass improvements in operational procedures, workforce training, equipment maintenance, and supervision. It is hoped that implementing these recommendations will help decrease the risk of hazardous goods-related incidents at PT. XYZ. The results of this study provide in-depth insights into the hazardous goods handling system of the company. By utilizing the FTA analysis approach, this research offers a comprehensive view of potential causative factors and their interrelationships. This will serve as a foundation for the company to take better preventive actions and implement necessary improvements.

Abstract

PT Multi Terminal Indonesia is a company engaged in the logistics sector, which has several logistics services ranging from cargo handling, storage, transportation to distribution of goods. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of production and service capacity on PT Multi Terminal Indonesia's service revenue performance in 2022. This research method uses a quantitative approach by conducting several tests, namely the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression tests and hypothesis testing. The research results show that production and service capacity have a significant effect on PT Multi Terminal Indonesia's service revenue. In this case, production and service capacity can increase PT Multi Terminal Indonesia's revenue if used optimally. Service capacity contributes the most to service revenue compared to production.

Abstract

Sea Highway is a program for the Implementation of Public Service Obligations for Port-to-Port Sea Transport of Goods from and to 3TP (Disadvantaged, Remote, Outermost, and Border) areas that are not yet served by commercial sea transport, the performance of the Sea Toll Road recorded positive growth which was marked by the continued increase in the number of annual cargoes and the number of ports of call as well as the number of route services which were quite large and the high demand for sea toll vessel services to the regions was not commensurate with the large number of goods offered as return cargo. Sea toll vessels are still a major problem. Because there are still many superior products produced in the 3TP area that do not meet requirements, backloading is always a major problem in the Sea Highway program. Commodity price disparity is a complex and significant economic phenomenon that affects national market stability. This study aims to analyze commodity price disparity trends from 2021 to 2023 with a focus on factors that influence price fluctuations, the global the national, commodity fuel price fluctuations, logistics costs, the number and type of ships available, bad weather, demand and supply imbalances. The analytical methods used include collecting secondary data from various literature sources and commodity price reports basic goods and important goods as well as a descriptive approach to describe commodity price patterns and dynamics. Bapokting stability which is an effort to reduce commodity price disparities, this study investigates the important role of basic goods and important goods stabilization in the context of reducing commodity price differences between regions. Policy and regulatory methods issued by regulatory bodies can affect commodity price stability, for example in managing commodity markets to support a sustainable reduction in commodity price disparities
