Abstract

The development of digital technology has had a significant impact on the use of Indonesian in the context of inclusive education. Through a literature review of national journals published between 2023 and 2025, this article examines how digital media affects accessibility, language quality, and the Indonesian language learning process for students with special needs. The study results indicate that digital developments have had a positive impact in the form of increased access to materials, multimodal support, and strengthened learning motivation. Digital media allows for the presentation of materials in audio, visual, and interactive formats, thus facilitating understanding for students with visual impairments, hearing impairments, and students with different learning styles. However, digitalization has also given rise to problems such as a decline in the use of formal language, an increase in digital abbreviations, code-mixing, and a weakening of formal writing skills. Furthermore, challenges arise in the form of a digital literacy gap among teachers and students. Overall, digitalization presents significant opportunities for the development of Indonesian language learning in inclusive education, but digital literacy strategies and strengthened language policies are needed to ensure language use remains sustainable and relevant for all students.

Abstract

The quality of higher education, particularly in the health sector, is highly dependent on lecturer competence. This study analyzes the implementation of Human Resource Management (HRM) in developing lecturer competence at the Darussalam Martapura Midwifery Academy, identifying the strategies and obstacles encountered. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with key informants and supported by the analysis of real lecturer demographic documents. The HRM implementation at Akbid Darussalam Martapura was found to be effective in maintaining basic pedagogical competence (100% internal workshop participation) but failed in strategic career development. This gap is evidenced by 0% of lecturers holding a Doctoral (S3) degree and a very low realization of external clinical training (5.6%). This failure is attributed to a generally planned Training Needs Analysis (TNA) that is not integrated with specific S3 needs, and a performance evaluation system focusing on administration rather than the real impact of competence improvement. The main root cause is budget and resource limitations hindering the provision of scholarships and financial support for further studies. The current contribution of HRM merely maintains the status quo, demanding a revision of the HRM SOP, allocation of a special budget for S3 scholarships, and improvement of impact-based performance evaluation systems.

Abstract

The phenomenon of religious fragmentation and socio-cultural dynamics in pre-Islamic Mecca reveals a society far more complex than the oversimplified “Jahiliyyah” narrative, making it essential to examine for understanding the foundations of Islam’s emergence. The sources of this study include the Qur’an, the Prophetic traditions, and scholarly literature that historically document the social, economic, and religious life of pre-Islamic Arabian society. The primary aim of this research is to reconstruct the relationship between diverse belief systems and Mecca’s socio-economic structures, and to explain how their interaction shaped the trajectory of the civilization prior to Islam. Using a qualitative method grounded in library research and descriptive-historical analysis, the data were examined through document criticism, thematic reduction, and triangulation to produce a comprehensive and accountable interpretation. The findings show that the overlap between polytheistic practices, tribal dominance, intensive trade activity, and pervasive social inequality created a deep moral and spiritual unrest within society. This condition opened the way for the emergence of Islam as a system that introduced principles of justice, equality, and moral renewal for the Meccan community.

Abstract

Di era digital sekarang, teknologi komunikasi sudah menjadi bagian penting dalam kehidupan keluarga, termasuk hubungan antara orang tua Gen X dan anak Gen Z. WhatsApp dengan fitur-fitur seperti pesan teks, voice note, stiker, dan panggilan suara membuat orang tua dan anak bisa tetap saling terhubung meskipun jarang berada di tempat yang sama. Aplikasi ini tidak cuma dipakai buat tukar informasi, tapi juga jadi cara sederhana untuk menjaga kedekatan emosional di tengah rutinitas masing-masing. Penelitian ini mencoba melihat bagaimana orang tua Gen X berkomunikasi dengan anak Gen Z lewat WhatsApp, apa saja faktor yang membantu atau justru menghambatnya, dan bagaimana penggunaan aplikasi ini berpengaruh pada hubungan mereka sehari-hari. Data dikumpulkan lewat pengamatan interaksi harian dan wawancara dengan keluarga yang memang aktif memakai WhatsApp. Dari hasil penelitian, terlihat bahwa banyak orang tua Gen X berusaha menyesuaikan diri dengan kebiasaan digital anak, misalnya memakai bahasa yang lebih singkat, menambahkan emoji biar maksudnya jelas, atau mengirim voice note supaya tidak terjadi salah tafsir. Meski begitu, tetap ada hambatan, terutama karena gaya komunikasi yang beda antar generasi dan risiko salah paham lewat pesan teks. Secara umum, WhatsApp cukup membantu menjaga kedekatan keluarga selama penggunaannya fleksibel dan kedua pihak saling memahami.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Ok Al-Ikhlash application in improving the efficiency of financial management for students (santri) at Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Ikhlash. Prior to the implementation of this application, financial administration processes were carried out manually, which often led to several problems such as long queues, delays in financial recording, and a lack of transparency between the administration and the students’ guardians. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the finance department, student guardians, and students. The findings indicate that the Ok Al-Ikhlash application has successfully enhanced the efficiency, transparency, and accountability of financial management within the pesantren. Financial transactions such as balance top-ups, tuition fee payments, and savings records can now be processed digitally and in real time, minimizing human errors and accelerating administrative services. Moreover, the adoption of a cashless system through student cards fosters independence, discipline, and financial responsibility among students. Overall, the Ok Al-Ikhlash application contributes significantly to the modernization of pesantren financial management through digital technology integration.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the urgency of developing artificial intelligence (AI)-based digital skills for art educators as a key requirement for the successful integration of art and technology in creative learning in the digital age. Through a systematic literature review of recent sources (2019–2025), the results show that generative AI has been proven to play a role as a collaborative partner that changes the paradigm of arts education to “post-human art education” (Pavlik & Pavlik, 2024; Mayo, 2024). AI is capable of objectively analyzing students' work (visual patterns, musical composition, dance movements), providing instant feedback, creating interactive simulations, and personalizing learning through the 5E model (Engage-Explore-Explain-Elaborate -Evaluate) model, thereby significantly improving students' understanding of the concepts of form, space, tone, movement, and composition while strengthening their creativity, critical thinking, and visual-spatial problem-solving skills. However, the success of this transformation depends entirely on the digital competence of art educators in AI. Without mastery of AI, educators will only become passive consumers of technology, and students risk losing their competitiveness in the global creative industry. Therefore, this study recommends three concrete steps: (1) integrating the compulsory course “Artificial Intelligence for Art Education” into the art teacher education curriculum, (2) implementing national AI skills certification for art educators, and (3) developing a locally-based AI platform for inclusive art learning. Thus, art educators will not only be able to survive technological disruption, but also become pioneers in the birth of a generation of Indonesian digital artists-creators who are competitive at the global level.

Abstract

This research examines the transformation of marketing in the digital era by analyzing the role of Viral Marketing and Turbo Marketing on consumer Purchase Decisions, which is relevant to the context of e-commerce business development. Digital marketing, especially through social media, has become a crucial strategy for businesses, including startups such as cafes and culinary ventures, whose segmentation largely targets millennials. The method used is correlation research with a quantitative approach, using a sample of 100 visitors to Insomnia Café. The results of correlation and regression analysis, as well as the F-test and t-test, indicate that Viral Marketing and Turbo Marketing, both partially and simultaneously, have a significant influence on Purchase Decisions. Specifically, Viral Marketing is proven to have the most dominant influence on Purchase Decisions. These findings indicate that the strategy of spreading contagious messages and the support of service speed (Turbo Marketing) are highly effective in the digital environment. Although this study focuses on a café, the finding of the significant influence of Viral Marketing can be implied to e-commerce platforms as tangible evidence of the role of digital strategy in encouraging consumers to make purchase decisions. For future research, it is suggested to choose objects with more diverse populations and/or use other variables as intervening variables to enrich the findings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the volatility of the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar and the influence of the trade balance, interest rates, and inflation on the rupiah exchange rate in both the short and long term. This quantitative study uses Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH) analysis and the Error Correction Model (ECM) with time series data from January 2015 to August 2025. The results of this study explain that the volatility of the rupiah exchange rate is strongly influenced by short-term shocks and is not persistent. Partially, the trade balance variable has a positive and significant effect on the rupiah exchange rate in the long term. Conversely, in the short term, the trade balance has a negative and insignificant effect on the rupiah exchange rate. In both the long and short term, the interest rate variable has a positive but insignificant effect on the rupiah exchange rate. Inflation has a negative and insignificant effect on the rupiah exchange rate in both the long and short term. Simultaneously, in the long and short term, the trade balance, interest rates, and inflation variables have a significant effect on the rupiah exchange rate.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social media marketing on purchasing decisions for Uniqlo products in Indonesia, considering the mediating role of influencers in the Generation Z era. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected through an online questionnaire via Google Forms from 104 respondents who are active students in Medan City and have made purchases through social media platforms. Data analysis included validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumptions, multiple linear regression, F tests, t tests, and Sobel tests. The results showed that social media marketing significantly influences purchasing decisions, with Uniqlo's content on social media and promotional appeal as the main significant variables. However, the frequency of viewing content did not have a significant effect. This influence was strengthened by the role of influencers as mediators. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of digital marketing strategies to maintain brand existence, with suggestions for Uniqlo to increase the use of platforms such as TikTok and Twitter to reach a wider audience. This study provides insights for fashion brands in building emotional connections with Gen Z consumers.

Abstract

This study discusses the marketing strategies used by Gojek to attract consumers in today's digital era. The purpose of this study is to determine how Gojek's marketing strategies are able to compete amid modern technology. The method used in this study is a literature review, collecting various sources such as journals, articles, and Gojek's digital marketing strategies. In today's digital era, Gojek has been shown to utilize social media, digital promotions, and service innovations to increase user appeal and trust. In addition, collaboration strategies with various service companies have also been an important factor in increasing public interest.
