Abstract

This study, entitled “Analysis of the Determinants of Income Inequality Between Provinces in Sumatra Island (A Comparative Study of Riau Islands Province and Bangka Belitung Islands Province)”, aims to analyze and compare the factors influencing income inequality among regencies/cities in Riau Islands Province and Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the 2019–2024 period. The variables used include economic growth, average years of schooling, open unemployment rate (OUR), and road infrastructure, with the Gini ratio as the indicator of income inequality. This study employs a quantitative method using panel data regression analysis. The results show that in Riau Islands Province, the economic growth variable has a negative and significant effect on income inequality, while education and unemployment have positive and significant effects. On the other hand, in Bangka Belitung Islands Province, road infrastructure and economic growth negatively affect income inequality, although with different levels of significance. This comparison indicates that economic growth and infrastructure equity are more effective in reducing income inequality in Bangka Belitung than in Riau Islands Province.

Abstract

Vaginal discharge (fluor albus) is a discharge from the vagina that can be normal or abnormal. In adolescent girls, vaginal discharge often occurs due to hormonal changes, poor reproductive hygiene, and psychological factors such as stress. Stress can affect the balance of estrogen, which plays a role in vaginal fluid production, potentially increasing the risk of vaginal discharge. This condition is important to consider because adolescence is a developmental stage vulnerable to emotional stress, academic pressures, and social changes that can cause prolonged stress. The high incidence of vaginal discharge in adolescents indicates the need to understand triggers, particularly stress, for early prevention. This study aims to determine the relationship between stress levels and the occurrence of vaginal discharge in adolescent girls. The discussion focuses on the link between psychological changes and the body's physiological reactions to stress, which can trigger disorders of the reproductive organs, particularly vaginal discharge.

Abstract

Digital transformation in civil procedural law through the implementation of e-litigation in Indonesia offers procedural efficiency but faces significant normative and structural tensions. This study employs a normative-juridical approach to analyze the alignment of e-Court and e-Filing practices with civil procedural law principles, particularly the principles of legality, procedural fairness, and the right to a fair defense. Findings indicate that Indonesia’s current civil procedural framework still rooted in the colonial-era HIR and RBg does not explicitly recognize digital instruments, thereby creating legal uncertainty. Moreover, the effectiveness of e-litigation is hindered by juridical challenges (lack of explicit legal basis), technical barriers (uneven digital infrastructure and data security concerns), and social constraints (digital literacy gaps and limited access in remote regions). Without adaptive and inclusive reform of civil procedural law, electronic litigation risks excluding vulnerable groups and undermining substantive justice. This article recommends the enactment of a National Civil Procedure Code that is responsive to digital realities, in order to realize a judicial system that is efficient, transparent, and equitable in the digital era.

Abstract

A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted to analyze the dynamic relationship between Sharia Fintech and Consumer Trust in Indonesia, synthesizing findings from eleven academic articles published between 2020 and 2025. The thematic synthesis confirms that Trust is a fundamental prerequisite for successful adoption and is driven by two main pillars: Sharia Compliance Trust (The Syariah Trust), which is fueled by transparent contracts and strong Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) governance, and Technical/Functional Trust (The Technical Trust), which is heavily influenced by Perceived Risk (data security) and system quality. The findings indicate that Trust is a strong predictor of Adoption Intention and positively correlates with increased Financial Inclusion among MSME actors. However, the research highlights significant contradictions regarding the direct role of Literacy and Knowledge as antecedents of Trust, suggesting a need for further research. Recommendations are directed towards the necessity of qualitative research to understand the process of Trust recovery, and for platforms to invest in robust compliance governance and functional digital literacy education.

Abstract

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) remain a major reproductive health issue affecting adolescents in various countries. Lack of knowledge, negative attitudes, and risky behaviors make adolescents vulnerable to HIV and AIDS, gonorrhea, and syphilis. Health education has been shown to improve knowledge and positive attitudes, but gaps remain, particularly among adolescents with disabilities and those in areas with limited health services. This literature review aims to analyze adolescents' knowledge and attitudes toward STI prevention based on three international studies in Indonesia and Zambia. The method used was a quantitative or descriptive research design and a literature review of three internationally indexed scientific articles. The results indicate that adolescents' knowledge of STIs remains low to moderate. Comprehensive, inclusive, and school-based sexual health education interventions are needed to encourage changes in STI prevention behavior among adolescents.

Abstract

Foot root is caused by bacterial infections, especially Fusobacterium necrophorum and Dichelobacter nodosus, which cause swelling and lesions in the interdigital area, leading to lameness in the interdigital area, thus negatively impacting livestock productivity and welfare. Research results show that the prevalence of foot rot is higher in sheep than in cattle. The main clinical symptoms observed include swelling, redness, erosion, and necrosis (decay) of the hoof tissue and interdigital area, which causes the animal to experience severe lameness. These risk factors indicate humid environmental conditions and poor barn sanitation.

Abstract

Pregnant women are at a higher risk of experiencing mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety, and self-harming behaviors. These risks may worsen due to various factors, including spousal support, maternal age, parity, and social support. Pregnancy accompanied by maternal mental health issues can become a serious concern. Therefore, it is important to understand the factors that influence this condition. This review uses a Literature Review method, beginning with the identification of relevant journal articles using the keywords “mental health” and “pregnant women.” Article searches were conducted in both Indonesian and English through databases such as Google Scholar and PubMed, limited to publications from 2021–2025. A total of five articles were included in this review three national and two international which were then analyzed thoroughly. The results of the analysis indicate that support from the husband is the most influential factor, having a greater impact than other factors such as parity, maternal age, and social support from the surrounding environment. These factors can affect the mental health of mothers during pregnancy. It is expected that this issue will receive attention from midwives as healthcare providers as well as from the government, so that improvements can be made in the future to enhance maternal psychological well-being, allowing pregnancies to proceed healthily for all expectant mothers.

Abstract

This research aims to design a web-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for laundry services to improve operational efficiency and build long-term relationships between laundry owners and customers. This system integrates three main CRM phases: Acquisition, Retention, and Penetration. In the Acquisition phase, the website provides features for customer registration, easy registration, and promotions and discount vouchers for new customers. The Retention phase includes transaction history features, a loyalty program with discounts for frequent customers, and promotional notifications. The Penetration phase aims to offer additional services (cross-selling and up-selling) and provide notifications or discount vouchers to existing customers who have not yet used the new service. The system was built using the Waterfall method, which consists of requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing. System testing using Black-Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) showed satisfactory results, with satisfaction levels reaching 81.5% for admins and 90.4% for customers. These results demonstrate that this web-based CRM system is effective in improving user experience, operational efficiency, and building better relationships with customers to support sustainable laundry business growth.

Abstract

The digital era has brought significant changes to accounting practices, including the increasing use of technologies such as cloud-based accounting information systems, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and audit automation. These advancements provide opportunities for public accountants to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of examinations, yet they also introduce new challenges in applying professional codes of ethics. This study aims to analyze how public accountants implement ethical principles—integrity, objectivity, professional competence and due care, confidentiality, and professional behavior—in responding to risks arising from digitalization, such as data security threats, technology-based information manipulation, and dependency on software. The research employs a literature review method by examining various journals, professional standards, and reports from accounting profession organizations. The findings indicate that applying ethical principles in the digital era requires public accountants to improve technological literacy, strengthen internal control systems, and maintain independence when using digital tools. Furthermore, commitment to professional ethics must be supported by updated regulations and practical guidelines to adapt to digital dynamics. Thus, ethical conduct remains a fundamental pillar in ensuring the quality, public trust, and credibility of public accountants amid ongoing digital transformation.

Abstract

This research examines the challenges of female representation in legislative elections in Lembata Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, with the aim of understanding the obstacles faced by women in formal political arenas. Despite the implementation of a 30% minimum quota for female representation in the legislature, women in Lembata Regency still face difficulties in achieving elected positions. Using a qualitative case study approach, this study identifies three key dimensions affecting women's representation: macro dimension (political systems and affirmative action policies), meso dimension (the role of political parties), and micro dimension (the individual capacity of female candidates). The findings show that although women meet the administrative quota, structural barriers, patriarchal culture, and unequal political resources still hinder their election. To enhance female representation, more concrete political support and a shift in societal attitudes towards gender inclusivity are needed.
