Abstract

In the digital era, TikTok has become an influential social media platform that shapes people's consumption behavior. This study aims to analyze the role of Reizuka Ari as a content creator in creating digital consumption trends through narrative strategies and assertive communication. The researcher used a qualitative approach with a narrative content analysis method on several videos uploaded by Reizuka Ari that review food and beauty products. The analysis results show that Reizuka Ari consistently conveys product information clearly and relatably through a distinctive language style, strong expressions, and attractive visuals. He also utilizes the TikTok affiliate feature and builds active interactions with his followers. The combination of narrative elements, visuals, and an honest and persuasive communication approach successfully creates emotional engagement with the audience and encourages consumptive actions. This study concludes that content creators like Reizuka Ari are information providers and strategic agents who can influence digital consumption patterns through effectively curated content. Abstract

This study aims to analyze how public resistance in South Korea toward the feminist messages in the film Barbie (2023) is formed and interpreted. The film was selected as the subject of analysis due to its articulation of feminist ideas through narratives of critique against patriarchy, women's empowerment, and gender equality. However, these messages were not universally accepted. South Korea, a society still heavily influenced by patriarchal structures and Confucian values, demonstrates a complex response to the film’s feminist representation. This research employs a qualitative approach through document analysis and literature review. The data sources include the film’s content, academic literature, public responses on South Korean online platforms, and related media coverage. The findings indicate that public resistance in South Korea is manifested in institutional, symbolic, and performative forms. These range from the censorship of promotional materials and vandalism of posters to online rating sabotage and performative actions such as walking out of theaters. These expressions reflect a rejection of feminist narratives perceived as threatening to the existing social order. Such resistance does not merely indicate a mismatch of values but also reveals a broader social unease in the face of shifting gender roles. Using the frameworks of postcolonial feminism and backlash theory, this study highlights how the clash between global feminist values and local identity becomes a critical site for understanding the dynamics of feminist reception in the international context.   Keywords: Barbie Film, Feminism, Resistance, South Korea

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the human security threats experienced by Indonesian migrant children in Malaysia, as well as to examine how Muhammadiyah plays a role in building their resilience through community education. The limited access of migrant children to formal education, health services, and legal protection is a significant issue being studied. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, this research relies on literature studies and document analysis from international agency reports, Indonesia-Malaysia bilateral policies, and documentation of Muhammadiyah's education programs in Sabah and Sarawak. Data analysis was conducted using thematic techniques to identify vulnerability and adaptive capacity patterns at three levels: individual, community, and institutional. The results show that despite facing structural vulnerability due to their undocumented status, migrant children can develop adaptive strategies through social networks, community solidarity, and alternative schools. Muhammadiyah plays a significant role in providing community-based education that not only builds academic capacity but also strengthens the social and spiritual identity of migrant children. These findings contribute to developing the concept of resilience-based human security, broadening theoretical understanding while offering a practical model for protecting migrant children. The study recommends the need for multi-stakeholder collaboration and the strengthening of ASEAN regional policies to make the protection of migrant children more inclusive and sustainable. Abstract

Patriarchal ideology breeds subordination and marginalization of women. Gender awareness is key to eliminating both. This descriptive quantitative study examines Generation Z’s gender awareness of the manifestations of subordination and marginalization. The study involved 200 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires. The study found that generation Z lacks understanding of the manifestations of subordination. This is evident in the majority of respondents who agree that men should be leaders and women should be led. Men should represent the family. Wives are prohibited from working, and all wives activities outside the home must have their husbands permission. Wives must obey their husbands. Generation Z’s awareness of the manifestations of marginalization is better. The majority of respondents disagree that family allowances are only for male workers and that their wages are higher than those of female workers in equivalent jobs. Only a small proportion of respondents agree that men are more suitable as leaders and decision-makers. Only a few respondents agree that women should work at home. The majority of respondents disagree that women are only suitable for unskilled and service-oriented jobs. Socialization to build generation Z’s gender awareness needs to be encouraged for gender justice. Keywords: Gender; Generation Z; Marginalization; Subordination; Women.

Abstract

Women entrepreneurs in MSMEs are increasingly recognized for their role as drivers of the national economy and important contributors to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to poverty alleviation, gender equality, and sustainable economic growth. This study aims to analyze how women entrepreneurs in halal MSMEs contribute to accelerating the achievement of the SDGs in Indonesia. The method used was library research, reviewing various scientific literature, official institutional reports, and government regulations relevant to Islamic economic issues and the role of women in MSMEs. The results show that women entrepreneurs not only play a role as drivers of the family economy but also as agents of social development by creating new jobs, strengthening local economic resilience, and increasing community halal literacy. Halal MSMEs have been shown to have high levels of consumer trust and resilience to crises, but they still face obstacles such as access to capital, digital literacy, and minimal support for gender-based affirmative policies. In conclusion, strengthening the capacity of women in the halal MSME ecosystem is an effective and strategic strategy to support the acceleration of the SDGs in an inclusive and sustainable manner. Keywords: Women Entrepreneurs; Halal MSMEs; and SDGs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation of women's independence and resilience in Furky Syahroni's social media content, which features her as an Indonesian female climber at the international level. The primary focus of this research is how narrative, visual, and symbolic strategies in TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube video uploads construct the image of women as independent, courageous, and break through gender stereotypes in extreme activities such as mountain climbing. This study uses a qualitative method with a thematic analysis of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube content by Furky Syahroni during the period 2019–2024. Secondary data were obtained from literature, online interviews, personal blogs, and podcasts featuring Furky Syahroni. The results show that social media has become a new space for women to build a positive, equal identity in the public sphere. Furky Syahroni’s content contains educational, motivational, and courageous messages that can inspire other women to transcend social boundaries. The novelty of this research lies in the study of gender communication on the virtual platform in the context of extreme physical activities. This research contribution enriches the discourse on gender equality in digital media and demonstrates the potential of social media for women's empowerment.

Abstract

This study analyzes the publication patterns, knowledge structure, and research directions on community-based learning and rural women’s empowerment through a bibliometric approach. The research uses the Scopus database and applies a Boolean query combining community-based learning, women empowerment, rural area, and participatory approach. The analysis reveals three major findings: the researcher collaboration map, the conceptual constellation of keywords, and the distribution of publication sources. The collaboration map shows a transnational yet limited research network with interdisciplinary characteristics. The conceptual map indicates strong connections among empowerment, participation, community, and rural women, reflecting the role of community spaces in knowledge production and social transformation for women. The distribution of publications across nine journals demonstrates that the topic has not yet formed a consolidated academic domain. The findings highlight the need for theoretical and methodological consolidation to advance critical education, rural feminist studies, and participatory research within sustainable development discourse. This study contributes as an initial scientific mapping to strengthen future research agendas and identify knowledge gaps in community-based women’s empowerment studies. Abstract

The study maps the scientific development of social capital, women’s entrepreneurship, and MSME sustainability in Indonesia through a bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review derived from the original document’s content. The research identifies publication trends, thematic structures, and collaboration networks shaping the national knowledge system. The analysis shows that social capital plays a strategic role in strengthening women entrepreneurs’ capabilities through networks, trust, collective norms, and community support. The study finds that women face structural barriers such as limited access to finance, low digital literacy, and weak formal networks. Social capital enhances business resilience through bonding, bridging, and linking mechanisms that reduce transaction costs, expand market opportunities, and increase adaptive capacity. The bibliometric findings indicate significant growth in research interest after the COVID-19 pandemic and highlight three dominant clusters: social capital, women entrepreneurs, and MSME performance. The SLR results confirm that social capital directly influences women-owned MSMEs’ performance and acts as a mediator between women’s empowerment and business sustainability. The study proposes a theoretical model integrating perspectives from Bourdieu, Coleman, and Putnam to explain relational dynamics shaping women’s economic behavior. The research contributes to applied social science theory and offers practical recommendations for women’s empowerment policies built on strengthened social networks.
