Abstract

The role of employees is very important in a company, so the company must pay attention to the situation of each employee through the existing organizational communication climate. Organizational communication climate can be seen from the communication relationships that exist every day at work. This research was conductedat a well-known interior design company in West Jakarta, namely PT Idefab Cipta. All Generation Z (Gen Z) employees are the main focus of this study, Gen Z employees are those born in the birth year 1995- 2010. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of organizational communication climate on the performance of Gen Z employees at PT Idefab Cipta. To measure these objectives, researchers used the concept of organizational communication climate, employee performance, and Gen Z. The research was conducted using quantitative methods. The sampling technique used census sample and obtained 49 respondents who were all employees of the Gen Z PT Idefab Cipta. The results showed that there is a significant effect of organizational communication climate on the performance of Gen Z employees. Based on the coefficient of determination, the organizational communication climate has an influence of 55% on the performance of Gen Z employees.This research is expected to be input for companies to be better able to understand what Gen Z needs to produce better performance.

Abstract

The aim of this article is to examine the concept of social poverty at local context of two extreme geographically rural and urban areas. The logic of the article is structured as follows. Firstly is the identification social class at urban and rural contexts, in which social poverty is taking place. Then, it is followed by describing shortly the government programs on poverty alleviation, i.e. PNPM, Dana Desa, KAT and Health Insurance, in which trust in government could be built. Theoretical analysis are mainly referring to Weber, Bourdieu, and Putnam. Social capital formation is hindered mostly by closed system of social class in urban context, and by long unresolved isolation in rural context. The implementation of the government programs could be increasing trust in government. But on the other hand, social capital at rural context had declined in its capacity to solve their own problems. The bottom-up and top-down approach in the programs coordinated by the related ministries, gave more space to the poor for participation.

Abstract

This writing discusses the role of social workers in overcoming the problems of school dropouts at the Taruna Jaya Youth Development Institution 1. This research is descriptive-analytical, with the aim of obtaining an overview of the role of social workers in overcoming the problems of school dropouts. In this writing, the author determines three cases that have been determined purposively. The case was taken from 3 cases that had been handled at the Taruna Jaya 1 Youth Development Institution. The problems of teenagers dropping out of school at the orphanage are: Lack of love from parents; the client's lack of spiritual level; clients dropping out of SMK class 2; ex-street child/punk clients who are used to consuming illegal drugs and drinking and smoking; clients drop out of school because of the economic factors of their parents; the client does not have a job; clients rarely carry out Worship. The roles performed are the role of broker, counselor, mediator, motivator, educator, and facilitator. The result is that the client's family (grandmother) is happy to receive news about the existence of EP, the client has been actively participating in the obligatory congregational prayers and learning the Koran, the client is already on the list of pursuing package C, the client is willing to undergo outpatient treatment from the DKI Jakarta BNN and stop consuming drugs and cigarettes, clients are enthusiastic about participating in activities at the orphanage, clients are diligent in entering skills classes majoring in refrigeration AC, clients are ready to take part in the PBK program (work-learning practice).

Abstract

This research studied how the Covid-19 news framing in the new normal era and TVRI independence in the "Jakarta Hari Ini" program. The research method used is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Using a purposive sampling technique, the researcher selected two informants, namely the Producer and Coordinator of the Jakarta TVRI Coverage. Check the validity of the data using source triangulation and technical triangulation. Researchers analyzed several manuscripts of Covid-19 news in the new normal era of TVRI Jakarta to find out the framing made in the news using the analytical model of William A. Gamson and Modigliani. Researchers found that the framing made by TVRI Jakarta emphasized that the public could comply with every health protocol in carrying out activities outside the home to break the chain of spread of Covid-19 in DKI Jakarta. However, the researcher considers that in the case of Covid-19 reporting in the new normal era, TVRI Jakarta is not independent because it is not between the government and the community. This can be seen in the results of the analysis of the news script, which is more dominated by news from the government. This research can enrich media studies, in particular knowing the framing of Covid-19 news in the new normal era of TVRI Jakarta and its independence in reporting.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive qualitative research which aims to obtain a description of how the social workers role in handling the problems of rehabilitation participants at the Rehabilitation Center (Pusrehab) of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense. This study determined 3 cases purposively and data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, documentation studies. In the rehabilitation implementation process that has been carried out, rehabilitation participants have several social problems is self-acceptance of physical conditions, anxiety of family members regarding conditions experienced by rehabilitation participants, family acceptance of conditions experienced by rehabilitation participants, and difficulty in adjusting to the Pusrehab environment during the rehabilitation process. in handling the problems of rehabilitation participants, social workers do roles like a motivator, counselor, educator, facilitator, advocator, and liaison where the roles very helpful for clients in handling the problems they face. The results of implementing the social workers role in handling the problems of rehabilitation participants shows the changes experienced by the clients.
