Adh Dhiya Journal of Quran and Tafsir is published twice a year in June and December by the Department of Al Quran and Tafsir Faculty of Ushuluddin Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Nurul Iman Parung Indonesia. The journal aims to encourage and promote the study of the Quran and Tafsir from a wide range of scholarly perspectives. The topics cover all related issues on the study of the Quran and Tafsir including studies on the text of the Quran such as interpretation methodology of interpretation and qiraat studies. It also covers studies on contexts around the text such as the history of the Quran codification and Quran learning media. In addition it includes studies on society response to the Quran and its interpretation such as the sociology of the Quran anthropology of the Quran and phenomenology of the Quran

Abstract

The study of religion has been carried out with various approaches. Starting from cultural approaches, anthropology, phenomenology, sociology and psychology. To complete the discussion about religion and including its history, the author will examine religious studies through the approach of the sacred Qur'an, by understanding the meaning of religion, as well as comparing religion with Magi, explaining religion as human nature, religion as God's guidance, the relationship between religion and Sharia. 'Ah. Explaining the entities of the Prophets, such as Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad by referring to the verses of the Koran, will clarify the meaning of the Samawi religion.

Abstract

Religious freedom is a study and concept that is still being debated. In general, there are two opposing groups in viewing the concept of religious freedom, namely the literal group and the extreme group. The first group believes that religious freedom is a concept opposed by Islam. Freedom of religion is the same as the concept of apostasy whose perpetrators must be killed. Meanwhile, according to extreme groups, freedom of religion is a necessity, which is affirmed by religion. This study raises the view of Tāhir Ibn Asyūr in the interpretation of At-Taḥīr wa At-Tanwīr by using qualitative research methods. The analysis used is the analysis of hermeneutics and maqāṡhid Al-Qur'an. This study concludes that religious freedom in the view of 'Asyr is a concept that is indeed affirmed by religion, but with certain conditions, namely people who change religion because of the desire of the heart, not to play games, do not insult previous religions, and maintain tolerance among religious believers.

Abstract

This study discusses the methodology used in the interpretation of al-Qurţubi by Imam al-Qurţubī. The main objects that are the focus of research in this study are; Al-Qurtubi's method of interpreting Q.S Al-Baqarah 2:178 which is related to the crime of murder. This research is a type of library research (library study). Because this research uses descriptive and qualitative research. The data sources used in this research are books, journals and scientific works related to the research topic. After the data is collected, it is continued with data analysis and drawing conclusions as a result of the research. The data used in this research is primary data, namely the book Tafsir al-Jāmi‘ li Aĥkām al-Qur'an and secondary data which includes works related to tafsir al-Jāmi‘ li Aĥkām al-Qur'an. This research found several findings, among others, (1) Al-Qurţubī provides analysis in terms of language, (2) Al-Qurţubī interprets verses with the interpretation of al-Ma'tsur and al-Ra'yi, (3) this book of tafsir has a pattern fiqhi or law.

Abstract

Asbabun Nuzul refers to the reasons for the revelation of the verses of the Koran, which are important to understand in interpreting the holy text. This article reviews the meaning of this concept based on the views of classical and contemporary scholars, providing a deeper understanding of the interpretation of the Qur'an. Apart from that, this article discusses the urgency and function of Asbabun Nuzul in the context of interpreting the Al-Qur'an. Asbabun Nuzul helps in exploring the wisdom of legal law, specializing law, and ascertaining the meaning of Al-Qur'an verses, thus playing an important role in the application and interpretation of sacred texts for Muslims.

Abstract

Islam is a religion based on the power of reason (ratio), a person's religious values ​​are not perfect if the function of his mind is disturbed. The function of reason in Islam is very important in accepting, analyzing and believing in all the teachings received through the Qur'an, among the things that must be taken care of is that a Muslim must take care of everything that is consumed by prohibited foods such as consuming khamr/ liquor. In this research the author used quantitative methods. The results of this research are that khamr has the same legal status as narcotics.

Abstract

This article discusses the meaning of ukhuwah in the Qur'an through a comparative study approach between the tafsir of Ibn Katsir and the tafsir of Al-Munir. The main focus of this research is to identify the views of each interpretation on the concept of ukhuwah in the context of the Qur'an. The method used is a comparative analysis of the verses of the Qur'an that directly or indirectly discuss the theme of ukhuwah, with reference to the interpretation of Ibn Katsir and Al-Munir. The results of the study show that the two interpretations have different approaches in explaining the meaning of ukhuwah. The tafsir of Ibn Katsir tends to emphasize the aspects of brotherhood and unity of the ummah in a broader context, while the tafsir of Al-Munir emphasizes more on the dimensions of togetherness, mutual help, and harmony in the Muslim community. In conclusion, although there are differences in approaches in explaining ukhuwah, the two interpretations provide a deep understanding of the importance of solidarity and good relations between fellow Muslims in accordance with the teachings of the Qur'an. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the concept of ukhuwah in different perspectives of Qur'an interpretation.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the thoughts and aspects of the locality of Tafsir al-Ibrīz which is the work of an Indonesian scholar named KH. Bisri Mustofa. The research method used in this study is a literature study with a qualitative research type. The data sources used consist of primary sources in the form of Tafsir al-Ibrīz texts and secondary sources in the form of books, articles, and other relevant writings. Data collection was carried out through literature review, while data analysis used analytical descriptive methods. The results of the study show that Tafsir al-Ibrīz was written using the ijmālī method with the style of tafsir adabi ijtima'i, and presented with a fiqh and Sufism approach. Pemikiran KH. Bisri Mustofa in tafsir al-Ibriz includes an understanding of faith in supernatural matters, interpretation of sharia law, and the importance of morals in religious practice. The locality aspect of this tafsir is reflected in the use of Javanese Pegon as the author's daily language, as well as the application of ethical uploads in the presentation of texts. Despite the advantages and disadvantages, this interpretation received a positive response and comments from the community, as can be seen from the enthusiasm of the community in participating in studies in various Islamic boarding schools. Tafsir al-Ibrīz is not only a work of tafsir, but also an important cultural heritage in the understanding of Islam in Indonesia

Abstract

The memorization of wisdom in the Qur'an is mostly addressed to prophets and apostles, namely wisdom which means al-Sunnah, knowledge of halal and haram, about secrets that are not known to ordinary people. Based on the background that has been described above, the author is interested in further examining the comparison of the interpretation of the meaning of wisdom in Tafsir Al-Azhar and Tafsir Al-Misbah. This research aims so that we can know the meaning of wisdom and know the differences and similarities in the interpretation of the meaning of wisdom in Al-Azhar and Al-Misbah commentaries. This research uses library research method, which is by collecting data and information related to wisdom. The data analysis technique used in this research is qualitative with muqarin (comparative) approach. The result of this research is Hikmah, which means wisdom. There is only one similarity in the interpretation of wisdom according to Buya Hamka and M. Qurash Shihab, namely, interpreting that what is meant by wisdom in the verse is the prophethood of prophet David and the book revealed to him, as well as the miracles that accompany it. The difference in interpretation between the two mufassirs explains the secrets of this life to the ummah and is the science of practice and scientific deeds, among others what is listed in the books of the taurat and the gospel.

Abstract

In the phenomenon of hijrah among public figures via social media, this action attracts attention and has an impact on appearance and consumer behavior. Hijrah is considered an act of faith that reflects indifference to the world in order to achieve piety. The event of the Hijrah of the Prophet Muhammad. and the meaning of the word "hijrah" in the Koran is the focus of research. Using library research methods and referring to the book Al Munir by Wahbah Az-Zuhaili, this research analyzes the interpretation of the hijrah and its implementation in everyday life. The results of the analysis show that hijrah, in the context of the verses of the Qur'an, involves changes in attitudes and behavior to get closer to Allah. Certain verses, such as Al-Baqarah (2:218), An-Nisa' (4:97-100), Al-Anfal (8:72-75), An-Nahl (16:41), Maryam (19 :49), Al-Ankabut (29:26,56), Ash-Shofat (37:99), Az-Zumar (39:10), Ad-Dukhan (44:21), Adz-Dzariyat (51:50) , Al-Hasyr (59:8), Al-Mumlahanah (60:10), Al-Muzzammil (73:19), and Al-Muddatstsir (74:5), emphasize the importance of hijrah as Allah's command to maintain faith, personal safety , and fighting for religion. Hijrah also involves changes to avoid shirk, evil, and sinful acts, viewing it as an important step in the spiritual journey towards truth and a better life, with the Qur'an as a guide to life.

Abstract

There have been quite a lot of studies of the Ulum al-Qur'an by commentators. The study pattern revolves around sciences related to the Koran and Tafsir. The aim of writing this article is to describe and examine the essence of the instructions in each verse in the systematics of verses and letters of the Koran. The method used in this research is the library research method. The approach used is a descriptive analysis approach, which is an approach used to collect data and information with various materials found in the library, such as books and articles. The results of his findings show that the Al-Qur'an has provided a very amazing uniqueness in terms of its verses and letters, as well as being a topic that is the focus of all Ulama and Mufasir, both classical and contemporary. The Ulama argue that the composition of the verses and letters of the Al-Qur'an based on the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad SAW which is tauqifi, thus forming a strong and sturdy order and sequence. This certainly indicates that there is a close connection between one verse and another. When observed and researched, a collection of verses from the Qur'an shows the meaning and secrets behind their composition. The scholars have several interesting opinions when explaining the relationship between verses and letters, so that it can be seen from several interpretations that the essence of each verse will emerge.
