Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), severe fatigue will become the second killer disease after heart disease. In 2021, there were 31,801 cases of work accidents, an increase of 16.96% from the previous year, according to the BPJS Employment of West Sumatra Region. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that contribute to nurse and midwife fatigue in the Inpatient Installation of South Solok Hospital. This study used an analytic cross-sectional survey approach with a sample of 84 people. Data were obtained through questionnaire sheets and direct observation. Data were processed using a computer, and the results were displayed in the form of frequency distribution tables. The results showed that the p value of workload (0.05 = α with OR = 2.625), work climate (0.003 < α with OR = 4.278), work stress (0.001 < α with OR = 5.600), and fatigue work tired 59.5%, heavy workload 60.7%, and long service 53.6%. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between workload and work climate. It is hoped that maintaining a balance between personal life and work is the key to overcoming work fatigue. To stay healthy in the long run, try to lead a regular and healthy lifestyle.

Abstract

(WHO), thirty percent of women worldwide have been victims of either non-partner sexual violence, relationship sexual violence, or both types of abuse. In West Sumatra Province, there were 964 violent cases, 311 of which involved male victims and 754 included female victims. There were 754 female victims of violence, or 27.92 percent of all women, per 100,000. 791 children were victims of violence, representing 4.34 percent of all victims (Kemenpppa, 2023). The aim of the research was to examine the reasons behind domestic abuse of women in Lubuk Basung District, Agam Regency. This qualitative study used an informant phenomenology design. The 11 informants came from the Agam District DALDUKKBPPPA Office, Toma di Naga Sub-district, and female victims. The study was conducted from August 23 to September 20, 2023. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document review. After that, the data was analyzed, presented, and conclusions were drawn. The results of the current policy input research are limited to the relevant agencies and the amount of funds and human resources available for the program. Existing facilities and infrastructure must be supported by the APBD. Many factors can lead to domestic violence, including third persons, jealousy, financial problems, and drug use.Due to lack of funding and resources, the program did not meet expectations. The conclusion is that programs and information media should be improved to maximize prevention services and decrease domestic violence cases.

Abstract

The elderly population is a group that is vulnerable to health problems, requires special attention, and appropriate service programs. Based on data from the Payakumbuh City Health Office, the coverage of elderly health services in 2019 was 94.1%, in 2020 there was a decrease to 63.2% and in 2022 it decreased again to 47.4%. This study aims to analyze the elderly health service program in an effort to improve elderly health services in the Padang Karambia Health Center working area. The research method involved qualitative and quantitative data collection through interviews with health workers, direct observation of the service process, and document analysis related to the elderly health program. The results showed variation in the availability and accessibility of elderly health services at Puskesmas Padang Karambia, with more attention focused on outpatient services than prevention and rehabilitation. Findings also revealed a need to improve coordination between health service units at the puskesmas to provide more integrated services for the elderly. In addition, the lack of specialized training for health workers in addressing the health needs of the elderly poses a challenge to optimal service delivery. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of improving human resources, coordination between service units, and specialized training for health workers in order to improve the quality of health services for the elderly population at Puskesmas Padang Karambia in Payakumbuh City.

Abstract

Globally, tuberculosis (TB) cases are reported at 90%, with 58% occurring in men and 32% in women, and 10% in children (Global Tuberculosis Report 2021). In 2021, the Padang City Health Office recorded 1,199 TB cases, with the largest number in Lubuk Buaya Village, namely 52 cases in 2022. This study aims to determine the relationship between the incidence of pulmonary TB and the physical condition of the house and clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) in Lubuk Buaya Village. This study is a descriptive analytical study with a quantitative approach, using 27 TB patients as case samples and 27 as controls. The results showed 50 positive TB cases, with humidity meeting the requirements at 46.3%, ventilation 51.9%, lighting 61.1%, and good PHBS only 33.3%. Chi-square test showed a significant relationship between TB incidence and humidity (p = 0.029; OR = 4.038), ventilation (p = 0.014; OR = 4.750), lighting (p = 0.026; OR = 4.375), and PHBS (p = 0.009; OR = 6.129). These findings indicate a relationship between home conditions and healthy living behaviors with TB cases. It is recommended that the Lubuk Buaya Health Center and the Padang City Health Office increase counseling on TB prevention, including education on healthy homes and community-based sanitation. The community is encouraged to build healthy homes to break the chain of TB transmission.

Abstract

Over 90% of elementary school-age children and over 80% of children younger than secondary school-age children are enrolled in schools globally. Early school health promotion will benefit kids, their families, friends, and the community at large (WHO and UNESCO, 2018). According to the Padang City Health Office's annual report for 2021, Puskesmas Lapai has the lowest percentage of families with clean and healthy habits— 6.7% of all sub-districts and puskesmas in Padang City. The aim of this study was to identify the variables linked to Padang City primary school kids' clean and healthy living practices. This type of research is quantitative with an analytic approach and cross sectional design. The population in this study were all students of SD totaling 192 people. The sample was taken as many as 85 respondents. The sampling method was purposive sampling. Data collection through interviews and observations. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the chi square test. The results showed that 56.6% of respondents had poor hygiene behavior, low knowledge 65.9%, and poor teacher role 60.0%. There is a significant relationship between knowledge and clean and healthy living behavior (p-value=0.024) and there is no significant relationship between the role of the teacher and clean and healthy living behavior (p-value=0.562). Increase educational programs on clean and healthy living behaviors for the community as a whole, including increased knowledge. There is also a need to evaluate and improve the role of teachers in educating clean and healthy behaviors through better training and support.
