Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and inflation rate on the purchasing power of the community in North Sumatra during the period 2012-2022. Data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of the Republic of Indonesia was analyzed using multiple linear regression with the EViews software. The results of the analysis show that GRDP and the inflation rate have a significant influence on the purchasing power of the community, with statistically significant regression coefficients. Autocorrelation, heteroskedasticity, and classical assumption tests indicate that the regression model used meets the criteria and can be considered valid. The implications of these findings can be used as a basis for formulating appropriate economic policies to improve the welfare of the North Sumatra community in the future

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of inflation and minimum wages on labor absorption in Indonesia for the 2013-2023 period. The method used is quantitative descriptive, namely numerical data in the form of numbers and then processed using the eviews application. The data used in this research is secondary data, namely data obtained from BPS, BI, and so on. The data analysis technique in this research uses multiple linear regression analysis hypothesis testing and classical assumptions which include normality tests and multicollinearity tests. The research results show that simultaneously the inflation and minimum wage variables have a positive and significant influence on the labor absorption variable in Indonesia. Meanwhile, partially the inflation variable has a negative and significant influence on the labor absorption variable in Indonesia and the minimum wage variable has a positive and significant influence on the labor absorption variable in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of minimum wages and tax revenues on poverty in Indonesia. This research uses quantitative research which is centered on testing theory through measuring research variables based on numbers and analyzing data using statistical methods. This research data uses secondary data taken from the Central Statistics Agency in the form of data on Minimum Wages, Tax Revenues and Poverty in Indonesia. The results of the research show that the minimum wage has a significant negative effect on poverty, with every 1% increase in the minimum wage reducing poverty by 12.26378 %. Meanwhile, tax revenue has a significant positive influence on poverty, with every 1% increase in tax revenue increasing poverty by 19.89796%. These results show that minimum wage and tax revenue policies have an important role in reducing poverty in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of the labor force and regional income on the Human Development Index (HDI) in Indonesia during 2012-2022. Using panel data analysis and multiple regression, the results show that the labor force has a significant positive influence on HDI, while regional income shows a negative influence. This shows that increasing the workforce contributes to improving the quality of life, but regional income without effective management does not always improve human development. These findings are important for policy makers in managing the workforce and regional income to achieve a higher HDI.

Abstract

Archive literacy is an essential competency in supporting effective information management in various fields, including education. However, the low level of archive literacy among teachers and students is one of the main challenges in document management in vocational high school, including at SMK N1 Kisaran. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of archival training in improving archive literacy in teachers and students. The research used a quantitative method with a pre-test and post-test design, involving 30 participants consisting of teachers and students. The training included theory and practice sessions on manual and digital archive management. The results of the research showed a significant increase in participants' archive literacy, both in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitudes towards archive management. The average archive literacy score increased by 35% after the training. In addition, this training also succeeded in increasing awareness of the importance of systematic archive management to support work efficiency and fluency of school administration. This research concludes that archival training is an effective strategy to improve archival literacy, especially in vocational education environments. Recommendations include the development of more comprehensive and sustainable training programs to support the needs of archival literacy in the school.

Abstract

Globalization has had a significant impact on the harmonization of international and national laws, affecting areas such as trade, environment, and human rights. This study explores the impact of globalization on legal harmonization, identifying key drivers such as economic integration, technological advancement, and the role of international organizations. It also highlights emerging challenges, including legal pluralism, cultural resistance, and disparities in institutional capacity across countries. Using a qualitative approach, legal analysis is conducted to identify patterns of convergence and divergence across legal systems, including common law, civil law, and hybrid legal systems. Case studies such as the implementation of the Paris Agreement, the adaptation of WTO trade law standards, and the mainstreaming of human rights in developing countries reveal the success rates and obstacles in harmonization. The results show that while harmonization promotes global cooperation and reduces legal protection, challenges remain. Fragmentation of international law, geopolitical tensions, and differences in local values are key barriers. To address these, the study recommends an adaptive framework, enhanced multilateral cooperation, and investment in developing country capacity building. In conclusion, legal harmonization requires a balance between global norms and local relevance, so as to create an inclusive and effective legal system. A collaborative approach involving stakeholders across borders is key to bridging the gap between international standards and national realities.

Abstract

Cybersecurity is a major concern across sectors given the increasing complexity of digital threats. This study evaluates the application of an AI-powered threat detection system to improve an organization’s cybersecurity resilience. By leveraging technologies such as Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL), the system is able to detect new threat patterns and respond in real-time. The study shows that the AI-powered system has an accuracy rate of up to 95% in detecting threats, reducing the average response time from 4 hours to less than 30 minutes, and reducing false positives by 40%. The results also revealed that AI can detect 87% of new, unregistered threats. However, the adoption of this technology faces challenges, such as high implementation costs, reliance on quality data, and the risk of AI-based adversarial attacks. The study recommends mitigation strategies, including adversarial-based training, careful data management, and investment in AI infrastructure. The study concludes that the application of AI provides an adaptive and effective solution to improve cybersecurity resilience despite the challenges that must be overcome.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of tax compliance on national revenue, highlighting the critical role that compliance plays in fostering fiscal stability and economic growth. By analyzing various countries' tax systems, enforcement mechanisms, and taxpayer behaviors, the study identifies key factors that influence tax compliance, such as government transparency, progressive taxation, public trust, and the use of technological innovations in tax administration. The research reveals that countries with higher compliance rates, supported by efficient enforcement and transparent governance, experience significant increases in national revenue. Furthermore, technological advancements, including e-filing systems and automated payment platforms, are found to be instrumental in reducing tax evasion and enhancing collection efficiency. The study also explores the importance of institutional quality and tax morale in shaping taxpayers' willingness to comply. Finally, the role of international cooperation in curbing cross-border tax evasion and improving compliance rates is emphasized. Overall, the findings suggest that strengthening national policies, investing in technology, and fostering global tax cooperation are essential for enhancing tax compliance and ensuring sustainable economic development.
