Abstract

The dynamics of the development of urban communities in urban areas are one of the trends in cultural development that are very massive. This is also the starting point for the development of the paradigm of urban society in determining Islamic religious education for their children. The best education, strategic facilities, and good teaching quality, are important factors in considering Islamic religious education for children. This creates negotiations between parents on the reality of the need for Islamic education for their children. This research uses a qualitative type of research, based on field research. The analysis of this study uses the Miles and Hubermann model. From this study, it can be concluded that urban communities in urban areas have various options for consideration in determining the best Islamic religious education for children. The influencing factors are prestige, social motives, and the quality of spiritual education that can be provided by educational institutions. The emergence of other motives outside the educational aspect are factors that also contribute to parents in determining their children's choice of Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the principal as an administrator in managing administration and to determine the efforts made to improve administrative management. This study used qualitative, descriptive methods. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The sources of this study were the principal, administrative staff, and teachers. The results of this study indicate that the principal at Elementary school 2 Sikur Selatan has carried out his role as an administrator quite well. To determine how the principal carries out his role as an administrator, it can be seen from the implementation of administrative functions, namely planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, supervising, and evaluating. The next step in efforts to improve administrative management is to pay more attention to monitoring administrative activities to ensure they continue according to plan.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of implementing character education from an early age to shape and instill values in students through literary works. The literary work discussed in this research is Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. The author believes that the story of Pinocchio has a strong relevance in teaching character education that is engaging for students. This article also aims to explore the relevance of the Pinocchio story for elementary school students. This research is categorized as a library research study, where data collection is done by gathering information from various sources, both preliminary and secondary, such as books and articles that discuss character formation through children's stories. The results of the study indicate that the literary work Pinocchio is highly relevant in supporting character development for elementary school students. The story uses language that is easy for students to understand, an engaging plot, and contains many moral messages that can be learned by elementary school students.

Abstract

This study examines religious values and spiritual meaning in the novel Negeri 5 Menara by Ahmad Fuadi. The story portrays life in a pesantren, highlighting Islamic values such as the spirit of learning, prayer, and faith in Allah's will. Using a qualitative approach, the study analyzes religious elements in the plot, characters, and conflicts. It also explores the spiritual motivations driving the characters to achieve their goals, guided by the principle "Man Jadda Wajada" (those who strive will succeed). The findings reveal that the novel's religious values not only strengthen the characters' faith but also inspire readers to lead more meaningful lives. This novel stands as an important work in conveying moral and spiritual values.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the innovative forms of digital-based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning media and analyze their influence on students' learning motivation. This study uses a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data was obtained through literature review from scientific journals, books, and documents relevant to the theme of digital learning and learning motivation. The results of the analysis show that digital media such as animated videos, educational Android applications, Learning Management System (LMS), and social media based on Islamic content are able to increase student involvement and interest in PAI learning. This media is able to create an interactive, interesting, and learning atmosphere in accordance with the characteristics of the digital generation. Because this media is considered more in accordance with the characteristics of the digital generation which tends to be visual and interactive. However, the success of its implementation is greatly influenced by supporting factors such as teacher competence and adequate infrastructure, and is constrained by the limitations of teachers' digital literacy and inequality of access to technology. This study recommends improving teacher training, digital Islamic content development, and school policies that support innovation as strategies to optimize the use of digital media in PAI learning.

Abstract

Students’ understanding of the concept of cultural diversity in Indonesia remains relatively low due to the dominance of conventional teaching methods that lack student engagement. To address this issue, this study aimed to apply the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model to enhance fourth-grade students’ conceptual understanding of Indonesian cultural diversity at SDN 2 Mamben Daya. The study employed a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted over two cycles from July to December 2024. The research subjects consisted of 25 students, including 16 boys and 9 girls. Data collection instruments included observation, interviews, documentation, and concept understanding tests, which were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings revealed a significant improvement across all observed aspects. The observation scores of student activity increased from 68 in cycle I to 86 in cycle II. Interview scores improved from 3.2 to 4.5, documentation scores rose from 3.5 to 4.7, and concept understanding test scores increased from an average of 70 to 85. These results indicate that the project-based learning model fosters active student engagement and enhances their conceptual grasp of cultural diversity in Indonesia. In conclusion, the implementation of the project-based learning model effectively enhances students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills. This model is a viable alternative teaching strategy for elementary thematic learning, particularly for subjects requiring exploration and active student involvement.

Abstract

Speaking skills (Maharah al-Kalam) are one of the main pillars in learning Arabic as a means of communication and interaction, especially in Madrasah Aliyah. This research is motivated by the importance of finding effective approaches to improve students' verbal skills, and the Communicative Approach is considered to have great potential because it is oriented to the use of language in a real context. This study aims to determine the significance of the influence of the Communicative Approach on improving the Arabic speaking ability of Class XI MA students. Al-Islamiyah Bebidas East Lombok Academic Year 2024/2025. This study uses a quantitative approach with experimental design. Data was obtained through a comparison of the results of the speaking skills of students who were taught using the Communicative Approach with other approaches. The data were analyzed using a t-test to test the research hypothesis. The results of the data analysis showed that there was a significant influence of the application of the Communicative Approach on students' Arabic speaking ability. The results of the statistical test showed that the value was greater than , which was 6.236 > 2.704. Thus, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that the Communicative Approach has a positive and effective influence in improving the Arabic speaking ability of Class XI MA students. Al-Islamiyah Bebidas East Lombok. This approach has been shown to be superior in producing better Arabic speaking skills compared to other teaching approaches.
