Abstract

Abstract: Optical concepts are important concepts for understanding science. This research seeks to improve understanding of optical concepts, through the black market. In the academic year 2021–2022, the study was carried out at SMP Negeri 8 Cikarang Utara, Jawa Barat. This study employed three rounds of classroom action research. In light of the results, optical concepts were generally understood at an average level of 53.03 in the Pre-cycle, 61.10 in First Cycle: 67.43; Second Cycle: 67.43; Third Cycle: 77.83. The number of students who understand optical concepts has increased from 30 students, in Pre-cycle: 26.67% (8 students); 1st cycle: 46.67% (14 students); The second cycle: 63.33% (19 students) and the third cycle: 83.33% (25 students). Indicators of understanding optical concepts include: interpreting, exemplinifying, classifying, summarizing, inferring, comparing and explaining. The study's finding is that using the black market model to explain optical principles can help people grasp them better. The study's conclusions recommend that science teachers adopt the black market model to improve their pupils' understanding of optical principles. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to capture the implications of minimum competency assessment (AKM) on the learning procedure of reading literacy for Indonesian teachers at the Indonesian Language MGMP Region 1, East Jakarta. This research is a quantitative research by conducting a survey as a research data collection instrument which is strengthened by interviews at the sample schools. The research data are 15 educational units in which the teacher is a member of the Indonesian Language Subject Teacher Consultation (MGMP) in area 1 East Jakarta at the high school level with 28 respondents. The results showed that teachers had implemented the implications of AKM on the reading procedure 68%. Implications of the AKM for Reading Literacy learning procedures: 1. The teacher knows the results of the 2021 AKM specifically for Indonesian language teachers are the ability of the AKM sample students in each of the schools visited; 2. Indonesian teachers respond to the results of the AKM by planning lessons using reading strategies, and 3. Indonesian teachers introduce reading procedures to teachers of other subjects.

Abstract

The development of technology and information in this era certainly affects the increasingly advanced learning media, but not all learning activities use modern and up-to-date learning media. Based on this, researchers are interested in developing learning media based on Google Sites in learning biographical texts for class X at MA Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta. In this study, researchers used a research and development (R&D) research model with the ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research technique used is interview and questionnaire technique. This study obtained data sources from a team of experts (material experts, media experts, and teaching experts (teachers)) and user groups (students). The results of this study stated that the development of learning media based on Google Sites in the biographical text of class X SMA / MA obtained "Very Eligible" results with an average score of 81.71. The average score obtained from the assessment of the expert team and media users (students). The score of material expert is 81.6, media expert is 80, teaching expert (teacher) is 80, and the result of limited trial (student) is 85.25. Based on the results of the assessment, it can be concluded that the Google Sites-based learning media in the biographical text material for class X KD 3.14 and 4.14 "Very Eligible" is used as a learning medium.

Abstract

In carrying out the evaluation of the education system, the local government is accompanied by the UPT at the Director General of PAUD, Dikdas, and Dikmen. The objectives of this study are: obtaining educational problems that need to be prioritized and the root of the problem based on indicators in education report cards, and obtaining an activity program. The method used is a qualitative research method with a literature study approach. The conclusion of the study at the elementary school level was that there were educational problems in numeracy skills, character gaps, and a climate of diversity. At the junior high school level, the problems found were character gaps, and the APM for SMP/MTs/Package B/SMPLB. The root problems found at the elementary level are: character gaps between regions, religious and cultural tolerance, inclusive attitudes; support for religious and cultural equality, quality of learning, instructional leadership, school safety climate gaps, diversity climate gaps, inclusiveness climate, inclusiveness climate gaps, school community participation, proportion of use of school resources for quality improvement, use of ICT for budget management, and proportion utilization of the APBD for education. The root problems found at the junior high school level were: gender disparities, regional disparities, NER of students with disabilities, quality of learning, reflection and improvement of learning by teachers, instructional leadership, inclusiveness climate, participation of school residents, proportion of use of school resources for quality improvement, utilization of ICT for budget management, and the proportion of APBD utilization for education.

Abstract

Teachers are at the forefront of determining the success or failure of implementing a curriculum. The capacity of a teacher in compiling teaching modules is very important in the implementation of The Merdeka Curriculum. The teaching module is alearning plan hat becomes the tachers’s reference in the implementation of the learning process. This study aims to obtain an overview of the competence of teachers in comiling teaching modules in “school mover”. The method used in collecting data is Descriptif Qualitatif method, namely interviews and observations, also equipped with a questionnaire given to 69 teachers at the elementary, junior high and high school levels. The results of this study indicate the teacher's ability to understand the Merdeka Curriculum teaching modules criteria, namely 56.52% understand, 27.54% understand enough and 15.94% do not understand The ability in compiling the core components of the teaching module namely Learning Objectives. The teacher's ability to distinguish the core components and complementary components in the teaching module,namely 62.32% are at the level of understanding, 30.43% are quite understanding and 7.25% are not understanding. Learning Activities and Assessments are as follows. The ability of teachers to set learning objectives 56.52% at the capable level, 21,74% quite capable and at the less able level 21,74% In compiling learning activities 65% at the able level, 28% quite capable and at the underprivileged 7% While the ability to compose an assessment 39.13% at the capable level, 42.03% quite capable 18.84% less capable.

Abstract

The guru penggerak (teacher mover) program which has been soundly communicated from the Ministry of Education and Culture to source learning leaders that can improve the quality or benchmark of the education in Indonesia, needs principals who can motivate teachers to join this program. This program can be successful when the enrolled teachers’ motivation is improved. The force to move the teacher to join the program is from the principal as the leader in an educational institution. Principals can improve their school’s quality as innovative, reflective, independent, collaborative and students’ champion teachers as the values in a teacher mover (guru penggerak). Any obstacles and challenges that happened have to be battled with the teacher’s persistence to improve to be an learning educator. The method used for this research is qualitative research with the data compilation method from interview. Samples are taken from 11 Primary Schools chosen randomly. Principals are expected to be able to motivate teachers, so this guru penggerak (teacher mover) program can beneficially improve the education quality in Indonesia.

Abstract

Student motivation is a factor in increasing student learning outcomes. However, the results of observations in class showed that students' motivation in Biology still needed to be improved. The research aims to identify students' intrinsic-extrinsic motivation and the relationship between motivation and learning outcomes. The research uses descriptive quantitative methods to explore student motivation. The research was conducted in class XII MIPA-4 MAN 14 Campus B Jakarta even semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. The motivation was identified using a questionnaire containing 12 questions. Participants in this study amounted to 28 students. The results of this study indicate that: 1) students tend to be intrinsically motivated as measured by the aspects of challenge, curiosity, mastery, assessment, and internal criteria. The average of the five aspects is above 2.5. 2) Students with scores above 2.5 or students with a tendency of intrinsic motivation have a higher correlation with learning outcomes in biology than students with a tendency of extrinsic motivation. This study concludes that by understanding the motivational tendencies of each student, teachers can direct students differently, which helps achieve student learning outcomes based on these motivational characteristics.

Abstract

The research was conducted at SMK Negeri 27 Jakarta on even semester, academic year 2022/2023. The research subject was the students of class XI Perhotelan 4, SMK Negeri 27 Jakarta. The research procedure includes some steps, namely, planning, execution, observation, evaluation, and is categorized success if a majority (80%) of studens actively in learning process by using leaning strategy made PAIKEM. In terms of leaning outcomes when 80% of student have got value > 80. Based on the result of action research the PAIKEM learning can increase the activity of student learning. This is shown by the increasing number of student participation in learning. In cycle I, average student activity is 61,58, in cycle II increased to 81,81. The learning PAIKEM average of 67,50 increased to 73,30 after receiving learning PAIKEM in the first cycle, and increased again after improvement of learning in the second cycle into 80,00. Abstract

The ability to understand concepts is one of the skills that must be mastered by students in mathematics. However, the ability to understand the concepts of MTsN 28 Jakarta students is still relatively low. The existence of the implementation of PTM Limited (PTMP) resulted in learning only being a process of transferring formulas and uploading assignments. Therefore, we need an innovation that can make learning more meaningful. PMRI can be a solution so that students are involved in learning. To overcome time constraints, PMRI can be implemented with the help of the Learning Management System (LMS) application. The purpose of this study was to find out the application of the PMRI approach assisted by the LMS application in improving the ability to understand the concept of Building Flat Sided Spaces in class VIII-2 students of MTsN 28 Jakarta. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in three cycles. The research subjects observed in the study were 6 students from the upper, middle and lower groups. Data analysis refers to the achievement of indicators of understanding the concept as seen from the results of the research subject's test answers through three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the average test score increased from 69.97 in cycle I, 73.06 in cycle II, and 78.18 in cycle III. Students who reached KKM also experienced an increase, in the final test of cycle I there were 7 people (23.33%), in cycle II it increased to 16 people (50%), and in cycle III again it increased to 23 people (76.67%) . The increase in test scores is also supported by the addition of concept understanding indicator scores. Thus, it can be said that the PMRI approach assisted by the LMS application can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are one of the measures of success for every student in carrying out learning activities. This is one of the reasons to make efforts to improve students' learning outcomes in learning activities. This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes in the subject of Accounting Practicum for Institutional and Government Agencies. The research subjects were students in class XI Accounting 2 of SMKN 15 Jakarta, applying the cooperative learning model of Teams Games Tournament in the era of distance learning transition after the COVID-19 pandemic. The research used the action research method, conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of four stages: action planning, action implementation, observation and reflection, and evaluation. The implementation activities were carried out for 3 months in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The data obtained were in the form of questionnaire results on the level of student engagement, formative test results, and observation sheets of activities. Data analysis techniques used both qualitative and quantitative methods. Based on the research results, the data showed an increase in the average student grades of about 14.09% from 68.58% in cycle 1 to 82.88% in cycle 2. In terms of students' learning completeness, there was a 50% increase where in cycle 1 only 50% of students achieved learning completeness, while in cycle 2, it was found that 100% of students met the criteria for learning completeness. The research results indicate that the use of the cooperative learning model of Teams Games Tournament can improve students' learning outcomes in the subject of Accounting Practicum for Institutional and Government Agencies.
