Abstract

Early sleeping habits play an important role in improving the quality of students' learning concentration. This study aims to compare the impact of early sleeping habits and staying up late habits on the learning concentration of grade IX students at SMP Al Ikhlash Lumajang in the 2024/2025 academic year. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews and observations of 32 students who were divided based on their sleep patterns. The results showed that students who went to bed early (before 22.00) had an average learning concentration level of 85%, while students who often stayed up late (after 24.00) only reached 60%. These findings indicate that sleep duration and quality have a significant effect on students' cognitive abilities, especially concentration during learning. The implications of this study support the importance of healthy sleep habits as a strategy to improve the quality of education

Abstract

The aim of this reseacrh is to find out history learning using the active debate method to increase students interest in learning in class x SMA Budhi Warman I. This research was conducted using a qualitative descripstive method. This research technique uses observation, interview and documentation. The results of this reseacrh show that it has a positive effect in increasing students interest in learning compared to using the lecture method. Apart from that, the application of this active debate method can train students to make strong arguments in solving controversial problens and to have a democratic attitude and respect each othe for different opinions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles in enhancing the quality of the learning process at SMP Muhammadiyah Ajibarang and to formulate effective strategies to overcome challenges. A qualitative literature review methodology was employed, analyzing books, journal articles, and official documents related to TQM planning, implementation, and evaluation. The theoretical framework covers vision and mission development, SMART-based quality objectives, monitoring and evaluation systems, quality planning, risk management, and Weakness–Threat (WT) analysis. Findings indicate that applying leadership, involvement of all school members, process approach, and data-driven decision-making fosters continuous improvement. Monitoring through the report card system, evaluation meetings, and program reporting supports transparency and accountability. However, obstacles such as resistance to change, resource constraints, and uneven understanding of TQM present significant barriers. To overcome these issues, socialization, teacher training, efficient resource management, and integration of Islamic values into every stage of quality management are recommended. Consistent implementation of the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle is expected to strengthen a quality culture, increase stakeholder satisfaction, and foster students’ moral character. It highlights enhanced teacher professionalism and competitive school branding. The study proposes a TQM implementation model integrated with Islamic values and practical guidance for optimal PDCA application.

Abstract

In an increasingly pluralistic and global society, Islamic education is faced with the challenge of teaching the values of moderation, tolerance, and togetherness. Socio-cultural literacy, which includes a deep understanding of cultural diversity, history, and social norms, is an important foundation in strengthening moderate religious attitudes. This article analyzes how socio-cultural literacy can be integrated into the Islamic education curriculum through teaching that emphasizes openness to differences, strengthening cultural identity without losing the essence of religious values, and the formation of critical and inclusive thinking patterns. This study uses a research method with a case study approach where data is obtained through observation, interviews, and other data sources. The purpose of this study is to make strengthening socio-cultural literacy a pillar of religious moderation in Islamic education today. The results of the study show that socio-cultural literacy not only helps students understand the social and cultural context around them but also encourages the formation of moderate attitudes that are essential in creating social harmony in a multicultural society. Therefore, socio-cultural literacy must be an integral component in Islamic education in order to create a generation that is broad-minded, tolerant, and able to face the challenges of diversity with a moderate approach.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the mathematics learning program at SMK Muhammadiyah Kalasan using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The research subjects consisted of three groups of respondents: educators and policymakers (4 individuals), educational staff (3 individuals), and students (121 individuals). The instrument employed was a questionnaire comprising 30 items. Data were analyzed through score calculation, percentage conversion, and categorization based on evaluation criteria. The findings indicate that the Product component obtained the highest scores across all groups, namely 95.00% (educators), 93.33% (educational staff), and 93.30% (students), reflecting excellent student learning outcomes. However, the Input component, particularly human resources and infrastructure, received lower scores, categorized as good. These results highlight that although learning outcomes are already optimal, further improvements in teacher competence, more systematic instructional planning, and strengthened facilities are still required. Thus, reinforcing the Input and Process components becomes a crucial strategy to ensure the sustainability of mathematics learning quality at SMK Muhammadiyah Kalasan

Abstract

This study develops and evaluates a deep learning–based instructional model using the ADDIE framework integrated with the Deep Learning Cycle (exploration, concept integration, reflection, real-world action) to enhance the health dimension of elementary school students’ graduate profiles. The research addresses low health knowledge and healthy living practices among students, often resulting from conventional, theory-oriented teaching. Conducted at SDN Pulau Kelapa 02 Pagi, Kepulauan Seribu, during the 2024/2025 academic year, the study involved 54 sixth-grade students through total sampling. Data collection employed cognitive tests (pretest–posttest), attitude observation sheets, and skill performance rubrics. Results showed an increase in cognitive scores from 55.22 to 77.39 with a normalized gain of 0.62 (moderate). Attitude scores averaged 83.52 (good), and skills averaged 86.30 (very good). Student engagement reached 93.5% (very good). Expert validation on content, media, and language yielded scores above 90 (highly feasible). The findings confirm that the deep learning–based model effectively integrates cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, supporting the achievement of the Student Profile, particularly in the health dimension, in elementary schools.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Proficiency in the Indonesian language is a fundamental competency required of civil servants to support professional communication within governmental institutions. This study aims to analyze the proficiency level of civil servants in using Indonesian in a formal context based on the results of the Indonesian Language Proficiency Test (UKBI). This research employed a quantitative descriptive method with 57 participants from the Educational Quality Assurance Agency (BPMP) of DKI Jakarta Province. The data were obtained from official UKBI results and analyzed using descriptive statistics based on seven levels of language proficiency: Distinguished, Superior, Advanced, Intermediate, Developing, Novice, and Limited. The findings revealed that none of the participants reached the "Distinguished" level, while 21.05% were categorized as "Superior", 12.28% as "Advanced", and 22.81% as "Intermediate". Meanwhile, 24.56% of participants were categorized as having low proficiency levels (Developing–Limited), and 19.30% did not receive a score due to test incompletion. These results indicate significant disparities in Indonesian language proficiency among civil servants. The study suggests that systematic and sustainable language development programs based on UKBI results are needed to strengthen linguistic competence as part of civil service professionalism. The implications of this study also highlight the importance of implementing national language policies in government institutions as mandated by Presidential Regulation Number 63 of 2019 concerning the Use of Indonesian.
