Qawa’id: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Arab [ISSN: 3123-5484 ] adalah jurnal akses terbuka yang diterbitkan oleh PT RisTekUtama (Riset Cendekia Teknologi Utama). Jurnal ini menjadi wadah untuk menyebarluaskan hasil penelitian ilmiah, kajian konseptual, serta pemikiran kritis di bidang bahasa Arab, sastra Arab, dan kajian kebahasaan secara umum. Artikel-artikel yang diterbitkan dapat berasal dari akademisi, peneliti, pendidik, dan praktisi di bidang bahasa dan sastra Arab. Qawa’id menerima naskah berupa artikel hasil penelitian, tinjauan pustaka, dan diskusi ilmiah. Semua naskah yang masuk akan melalui proses tinjauan sejawat (peer-review) secara double-blind oleh para reviewer nasional maupun internasional yang kompeten di bidangnya. Jurnal ini terbit tiga kali dalam setahun, yaitu pada bulan April, Agustus, dan Desember. Artikel yang telah dinyatakan diterima akan ditampilkan terlebih dahulu pada bagian In-Press sebelum diterbitkan secara resmi. Seluruh proses penerbitan dilakukan secara daring. Abstract

Teks sastra Arab, khususnya puisi Arab tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai ekspresi estetis, tetapi juga sebagai media representasi identitas, ideologi, dan pemikiran sosial. Puisi “Sijjil Ana ‘Arabiyyun” karya Mahmoud Darwish merefleksikan identitas kolektif dan wacana perlawanan bangsa Palestina melalui konstruksi bahasa yang tegas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi identitas dan pemikiran kolektif dalam puisi tersebut menggunakan pendekatan analisis wacana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi pustaka sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Data berupa teks puisi dan sumber-sumber teoretis yang relevan dianalisis melalui kajian unsur kebahasaan, struktur wacana, serta konteks sosial dan ideologis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa puisi ini membangun identitas Arab-Palestina melalui strategi repetisi, penegasan eksistensi diri, dan narasi pengalaman kolektif sebagai bentuk perlawanan terhadap penindasan.

Abstract

The development of Arabic language proficiency among santri remains a crucial issue in Islamic boarding school education, particularly due to ongoing challenges in vocabulary acquisition, text comprehension, and learner autonomy. Although Arabic dictionaries both traditional and digital have long been used as learning aids, their pedagogical role has not been systematically examined. This lack of synthesis limits a comprehensive understanding of how dictionary use contributes to the development of core language skills (mahārah lughawiyyah), including reading, writing, listening, and speaking. To address this gap, the study employs a structured literature review guided by the PRISMA protocol. Empirical and conceptual studies were systematically collected from major academic databases, focusing on dictionary utilization in Arabic language learning, especially within Islamic or comparable educational contexts. The selected literature was analyzed thematically to identify patterns of use, instructional strategies, and learning outcomes. The findings indicate that Arabic dictionaries serve functions beyond simple word lookup. Their use supports vocabulary growth, enhances reading comprehension, improves writing accuracy, and strengthens lexical and metalinguistic awareness. Furthermore, dictionaries particularly digital and monolingual ones promote learner autonomy and self-regulated learning when integrated into guided instructional practices. The review concludes that Arabic dictionaries should be reconceptualized as strategic pedagogical tools within pesantren-based Arabic education, offering a foundation for future research and instructional innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the recitation method in offline (luring) Arabic language learning and the perceptions of eighth-grade students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Indragiri Hilir. Arabic learning requires comprehensive understanding; however, limited face-to-face instruction time led to less effective material transfer due to the lack of direct explanation from the teacher. Therefore, the recitation method is applied to optimize learning. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. The instruments used to collect data were interviews with the subject teacher and questionnaires distributed to the students. The data analysis technique followed the Miles and Huberman model, consisting of three activities: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings indicate that the application of the recitation method was carried out through three main stages: the assignment giving stage, the assignment execution stage, and the evaluation stage. Most of these stages have been well-implemented in offline Arabic learning. However, teachers could not monitor students' task completion fully outside of school hours, and constraints were found in the lack of focus and attention of some students in completing Arabic assignments independently.
