Ruang lingkup jurnal Wahana Islamika mencakup pembahasan mendalam mengenai kajian ilmiah berbasis penelitian dalam tradisi dan disiplin Studi Keislaman. Abstract

An investment decision refers to an investor's strategy in selecting or determining where to allocate their investment capital to optimize potential future returns. Various factors can influence such decisions, including financial literacy, economic behavior, income levels, and length of service. Testing the impact of individual financial literacy, individual financial behavior, income level, and tenure on employee investment choices at PT Hwaseung Indonesia is the aim of this research. Data for this research were collected through a purposive sampling technique by giving surveys to PT Hwaseung employees via Google Forms. The analysis was conducted using SPSS software version 26, employing multiple linear regression methods. The findings reveal that financial literacy, income, and tenure have a positive and statistically significant impact on investment decisions. Conversely, financial behavior does not exhibit a significant relationship with investment decision.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of the principal in developing the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum in schools. The main focus of this study is to understand how the principal leads and manages the development of a curriculum that is in accordance with the needs of effective religious education for students. The method used in this study is qualitative research with a library research approach, which prioritizes data collection through literature studies, journals, books, and documents that are relevant to the topic being studied. This approach was chosen to gain a deep understanding of the role of the principal in developing the PAI curriculum and the challenges faced in its implementation. The results of the study show that the principal has a very important role in designing, implementing, and evaluating the PAI curriculum. The principal functions as a leader who directs the curriculum development team, facilitates training for PAI teachers, and ensures that the curriculum implemented can meet applicable education standards and is relevant to current developments. In addition, the principal also has the responsibility to create an environment that supports quality religious learning and inspires students. The challenges faced include limited resources, lack of training for PAI teachers, and limited access to more modern and contextual curriculum references.

Abstract

In this article, Imam Syafi'i's thoughts on Islamic education and how it is relevant in the current era. Although Imam Shafi'i is known as an expert in jurisprudence, he also made major contributions in the field of education. As reflected in his poetry which prioritizes ethics for those seeking knowledge, he emphasizes the importance of adab (ethics) and akhlak (morals) in the educational curriculum. In this article, Imam Syafi'i's thoughts on education and its relevance for modern education are explored through literature study and content analysis. Research shows that Imam Syafi'i's views on education, especially those related to his emphasis on manners and morals, are still relevant and can make an important contribution to the development of Islamic education that is comprehensive and focuses on building student character. This article also reveals the urgency of Imam Syafi'i's thoughts in Islamic education today. In the modern era full of challenges, Imam Syafi'i's emphasis on manners and morals has become increasingly relevant. Holistic Islamic education, which not only focuses on cognitive aspects but also character development, can be a solution to overcome various social and moral problems faced by society today. Thus, this study does not only provide an academic contribution in understanding Imam Syafi'i's thoughts about education, but also offers views that are relevant and applicable for the development of Islamic education in the present and future.

Abstract

Financing management in non-formal education requires an effective strategy for diversifying sources of funds in order to ensure operational sustainability and improve the quality of educational services. As a non-formal education institution, PKBM Al-Islam Giwangan Yogyakarta faces challenges in maintaining funding stability, so an innovative approach is needed in obtaining and managing various sources of funds. This study aims to identify the funding source diversification strategy implemented by PKBM Al-Islam Giwangan Yogyakarta and the factors that contribute to its success. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with field studies through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results show that diversification of funding sources is done through a combination of funding from the government, community donations, student contributions, cooperation with private institutions, and utilization of community-based productive businesses. The success of this strategy is determined by visionary leadership, transparent and accountable financial management, and active participation from all stakeholders. In addition, the use of technology in the financial system also plays a role in improving the efficiency and transparency of fund management. By implementing the right diversification strategy, PKBM Al-Islam Giwangan Yogyakarta can reduce dependence on one source of funding and increase financial stability, thus supporting the sustainability of non-formal education for the community.

Abstract

The mention of the bidara plant in the Qur'an implicitly shows its superiority and high status. The bidara plant is mentioned twice, in the letter Saba' verse 16 and the letter Al-Waqi'ah verse 29. In addition to the Qur'an, there are several hadiths of the Prophet SAW explaining the various benefits of this bidara plant. In this article, the author tries to explain the content contained in the bidara plant and its benefits in human life. By searching various literature sources through the Google Scholar application, many benefits of this bidara plant were found. Along with the development of science and technology, the bidara plant is widely used in human life such as in the fields of health, spirituality and beauty.

Abstract

This research discusses the empirical historical approach in Islamic studies as one of the scientific methods used to understand Islam not only as a normative teaching but also as a historical phenomenon. This approach examines primary and secondary sources through verification of historical data and critical analysis of the socio-cultural context of a period. In modern Islamic studies, this approach is important because it is able to reveal the historical dynamics of the development of Islamic teachings, institutions and thoughts objectively. This research uses a qualitative method based on literature study, with results showing that the empirical historical approach has significant epistemological, methodological, and practical implications. The empirical historical approach in Islamic studies offers a more comprehensive view of Islam as an entity that develops in time and space. This approach does not only focus on theological or normative aspects, but also examines how Islamic teachings are practiced, interpreted and developed according to specific social, political and cultural contexts. By tracing the dynamics of history and using empirical evidence from the past, researchers can describe the transformation of Islamic thought and institutions more objectively and avoid ideological bias. In a methodological context, this approach requires precision in sorting and interpreting historical sources, both primary sources such as manuscripts, official documents, and secondary sources such as the results of previous studies. The data is analyzed critically by considering the socio-cultural background and power relations that influence an event or thought. The results show that the empirical historical approach not only enriches the treasures of Islamic scholarship, but also makes a real contribution in formulating Islamic responses to the challenges of modernity and contemporary social change.

Abstract

Allah, the Almighty Creator who bears the name Al-Qadir (The Omnipotent), holds absolute power over all His creations. Nothing is worthless or in vain in His eyes. In Surah Al-Ghashiyah verse 17, Allah points to the camel as an object worthy of deep observation and reflection: "Do they not look at the camels—how they are created?" The camel is a creature full of uniqueness and remarkable features in its creation, offering numerous benefits to human life. Through a thorough exploration of various sources, it is evident that the purpose behind these wonders is for them to become subjects of contemplation and insight for certain people. Allah refers to this as a reminder for those who possess intellect and reasoning. The Qur’an repeatedly emphasizes that everything Allah has created is a sign, a manifestation of His greatness, and a reminder.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of organizational culture and organizational commitment on the work motivation of amil in UPZISNU Magelang Regency. The research data was collected using a questionnaire that was distributed to the UPZISNU administrators at the sub-district level in Magelang Regency. The research sample was 100 which was determined using the probability sampling method. Analysis of research data using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that culture has no significant and negative effect on amil motivation in UPZISNU at the District level of Magelang Regency, this study rejects the supporting hypothesis. Organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on the work motivation of amil in UPZISNU at the District Level in Magelang Regency, this study accepts the hypothesis that has been carried out so that job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on work motivation for amil in UPZISNU at the District level of Magelang Regency.

Abstract

This study focuses on analyzing the term of ḥubb in the Al-Futūḥāt Al-Makkiyyah. This is crucial term because in the perspective of Ibn ‘Arabī, ḥubb is an maqām ilāhi which is not limited material things. According to him, love of God (al-ḥubb al-ilāhī) requires two foundations of love, namely; natural love (al-ḥubb aṭ-ṭabī’ī) and spiritual love (al-ḥubb ar rūḥānī). The purpose of this study was to find the meaning of al-ḥubb al-ilāhi in the perspective of Ibn ‘Arabī. The research method employs library research by constructing al-Futūḥāt al-Makkiyyah by Ibn ‘Arabī as the object of study. Starting with tracing all the term ḥubb in the Al-Futūḥāt Al-Makkiyyah as seminal concept, conducting language studies, mapping out the interpretations, and reviewing the result of studies, then formulating concept related to the issues being raised. This study reveal four important points of the concept of al ḥubb al-ilāhi from the perspective of Ibn ‘Arabī, namely ḥubb as the cause of the existence of the universe, māqāmat ḥubb, three forms of  ḥubb, conditions of al-ḥubb al-ilāhi. These four points in addition to describing the concept of al-ḥubb al-ilāhi Ibn ‘Arabī also provide a new understanding of the meaning of the word ḥubb which has undergone a change in conceptual meaning. When mentioning the word ḥubb, what appears is an understanding that refers to the form of obedience to Allah and His Messenger.

Abstract

 The Covid-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia had a significant impact on all lines of life. Including the world of education who feel it. Teaching and learning activities require to be done remotely/online. Of course, this also affects the components of teaching and learning activities, one of which is assessment. Assessment activities that are usually carried out in the classroom cannot be carried out due to social restrictions. Especially when it comes to skills competency assessment which is usually done with a practical assessment. This study aims to determine the Portfolio-Based Skills Competency Assessment in PAI Learning during the Covid19 Pandemic at SMA UII Yogyakarta. From this study, it can be concluded that the appropriate assessment used to assess skill competency in PAI learning during this pandemic is portfolio-based assessment. This assessment has been carried out by PAI teachers at UII SMA to assess PAI learning in the aspect of skill competence. In its application, the portfoliobased assessment used to assess the competence of PAI learning skills did not find any significant problems.
