Abstract

This study analyzed the pattern of student violations at the Vocational Engineering Academy with a total of 5,901 recorded cases. The purpose of the study was to identify the distribution, temporal trends, and factors influencing violations, as well as formulate policy recommendations. The method used is descriptive-quantitative analysis with secondary data, including frequency analysis, categorization, correlation, and visualization using Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn). The results showed the dominance of verbal violations (85.5%) compared to written violations (14.5%), with the most categories being Other (43.6%), Assignments/Reports (23.9%), and Delays (21.6%). Temporal analysis revealed a pattern of student adaptation: violations were high in the early semester (especially equipment breakdowns and Other categories), decreased in the middle semester, but delays increased in the final semester due to academic load. Other findings showed low violations of Rules of Conduct (6.6%) and Equipment Damage (4.3%), reflecting relatively controlled non-academic discipline. The implications of the study highlight the need for a multi-tiered coaching system, improved task management, digital presence, and revision of breach categorization for data accuracy. Recommendations include the development of an integrated task management platform, academic mentoring programs, time management workshops, and data-driven policy evaluations. This research provides an empirical basis for institutions to design effective violation prevention strategies, especially through preventive approaches and real-time monitoring systems.

Abstract

The development of the Smart City concept demands a reliable, flexible communication network infrastructure capable of covering the entire urban area. This study designs a wireless network based on mesh topology as a communication solution to support various Smart City applications. Mesh topology is chosen for its advantages in scalability, path redundancy, and fault tolerance. The research method involves designing a network simulation with varying numbers of nodes and testing performance parameters such as throughput, latency, and packet loss. Simulation results show that an increase in the number of nodes correlates with higher throughput, lower latency, and reduced packet loss. These findings indicate that mesh topology is highly suitable for meeting the real-time and stable connectivity needs of Smart City implementations. This network design is expected to serve as a foundation for future digital infrastructure development in smart cities.

Abstract

The preparation of this research is intended as an effort of Mikrotik in bandwidth management on school networks to improve the stability and efficiency of internet access in an educational environment. The main problem faced by schools is the imbalance of bandwidth distribution and the use of networks for non-educative activities. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a few hands-on configuration experiments on Mikrotik RouterBoard devices. The results show that the Simple Queue, Queue Tree, and Layer 7 Protocol features successfully divide bandwidth proportionally based on user categories (teachers, students, and guests), block access to irrelevant sites, and increase connection sta-bility by 90%. Real-time network monitoring also enables more effective control and evaluation. However, it requires certain technical expertise and a regular maintenance system to maintain optimal performance. This research recommends further development in more complex networks and integra-tion with more advanced security systems. Overall, Mikrotik is an effective and economical bandwidth management solution for school environments.

Abstract

The increasing demand for reliable and efficient wireless connectivity, especially for real-time applications such as video conferencing, online gaming, and VoIP services, is driving the adoption of more advanced networking technologies. This study aims to evaluate and compare the quality of service (QoS) between two generations of Wi-Fi standards, namely Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) and Wi-Fi 5 (IEEE 802.11ac), based on key performance parameters such as throughput, latency, jitter, and packet loss. Tests were conducted in controlled laboratory scenarios and dense user environments to simulate real-world conditions. The measurement results show that Wi-Fi 6 is able to provide significant improvements in terms of spectrum efficiency, traffic management, and resilience to interference, thanks to superior features such as OFDMA, MU-MIMO, BSS Coloring, and Target Wake Time (TWT). Compared to Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6 shows more stable and responsive performance, making it a more suitable solution for modern network needs with high traffic loads and low latency demands. These findings reinforce the potential of Wi-Fi 6 as a superior standard in supporting QoS in various intensive usage scenarios.

Abstract

Water quality is a crucial factor in supporting life, especially in water storage systems used for domestic and industrial purposes. A common issue that arises is the degradation of water quality due to increased turbidity, which can pose health risks and reduce water utilization efficiency. This study aims to design and develop an intelligent Internet of Things (IoT)-based system capable of real-time water quality monitoring and automatic cleaning of water storage tanks when turbidity exceeds a predefined threshold. The system utilizes a turbidity sensor to detect water clarity levels, a SIM900A GPRS module for data communication, and an Android application for real-time data visualization to the user. Monitoring and cleaning processes are controlled by an Arduino microcontroller integrated with an SMS-based alert system and a mobile user interface. Test results show that the system accurately detects turbidity levels, transmits data in real-time to the Android app, and automatically activates the cleaning mechanism when necessary. Additionally, the system can send early warning notifications via text messages. Therefore, this system offers an effective and efficient solution for maintaining water quality in a sustainable manner and contributes to the application of IoT technologies in smart water resource management.

Abstract

Cloud networking is a crucial element in the management of modern computer network infrastructure because it can increase service efficiency and flexibility. However, the successful implementation of cloud networking is highly dependent on the network architecture that supports optimal performance. This research conducted a literature study to review the development of computer network architectures that facilitate the implementation of cloud networking, by reviewing more than 50 recent publications related to software-defined networking (SDN), network function virtualization (NFV), and hybrid and multi-cloud models. The review shows that the integration of SDN and NFV is a major trend for designing adaptive and cost-effective network architectures, while the combination of hybrid and multi-cloud models improves scalability and redundancy. In conclusion, the adoption of SDN-NFV technology and mixed cloud deployment strategies have proven effective in optimizing the performance and management of cloud-based networks.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and compare the liveness between fiber optic and wireless based networks in an urban environment. Letency or data transmission delay time is an important indicator in assessing network performance, especially in applications that require high speed and stability such as video conferencing, streaming, and other real-time services. With a qualitative descriptive approach and a little experimentation, measurements were made using ping and traceroute methods in three different types of locations, namely dense residential areas, offices, and public spaces. Results show that fiber optic networks consistently have lower average latency, stability, and minimal fluctuation compared to wireless networks such as Wi-Fi, 4G, and 5G. Wireless shows advantages in flexibility but disadvantages in terms of signal stability, which is strongly influenced by user density and environmental conditions. User perception supports this data, with the majority of fiber network users satisfied with the speed and stability of the connection. In conclusion, optical fiber is technically superior, but synergy with wireless technology is needed to support mobility and broad access. Future research is recommended to involve more network parameters and analyze hybrid network scenarios.

Abstract

This study discusses 5G network security regulations and policies from a national and international perspective, with a focus on the challenges and handling of global cyber threats. Given the cross-border threats, security and regulation are important issues in the implementation of 5G technology. The approach used is qualitative interpretive with additional limited experiments, including cyber attack simulations. The result of the study show that cyber policies in Indonesia are not yet fully coordinated, unlike countries such as the US, the European Union, and China which have more comprehensive regulations. Experiments prove that the implementation of protocols such as IPSec and TLS can reduce risks in 5G networks. Therefore, Indonesia is advised to form more integrated regulations that comply with international standards. This study also suggests further research in real scenarios and the development of a more in-depth policy evaluation system.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of segmenting tourism in the West Java Province to help local governments to identify the characteristics and potential of each region in order to determine more targeted development strategies. The approach used is K-Means Clustering with variables of the number of visits, restaurants, and hotels with the data period used from 2021 to 2024. The analysis process carried out includes data normalization, determining the optimal cluster value with the Elbow Method and Silhouette Score, then visualizing the clustering results with PCA and geospatial maps. The resulting clustering shows two main clusters: clusters with high infrastructure and number of tourists (such as Bandung City and Bogor Regency) and clusters with tourism potential that still need more attention. The conclusion of this study successfully answers the objectives and contributions of the research to be achieved, that the approach used can reveal the inequality of potential in each region and provide a picture of data-based development priorities.

Abstract

This article discusses the design of a smart trash bin system based on a microcontroller that can provide real-time notifications via the Telegram application when the trash volume reaches its maximum capacity or when unpleasant odors are detected. The system is designed to enhance the efficiency of waste management in an elementary school environment in Central Java, Indonesia. The developed device utilizes two ultrasonic sensors to detect object proximity and trash volume, as well as an MQ4 sensor to identify methane gas as an odor indicator. The NodeMCU serves as the central controller and network interface for sending notifications to Telegram. Testing results demonstrate that the system effectively detects the trash bin's condition and delivers timely and automated notifications to cleaning personnel. This innovation is expected to serve as a practical and effective solution in supporting a cleaner and healthier school environment.
