Abstract

The idea of learning apps for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) has recently made major strides. However, many people are unsure of what learning applications for ESD are, why they are necessary, and how to utilize them. The literature review on ESD-based science learning applications is so wide that many researchers need more time and a longer process to locate the relevant data sources. This study aims to give a summary or literature review of the significance of ESD-based learning apps for students in schools. The researcher's summary article highlights the fundamental difficulties that must be addressed regarding ESD, the importance of ESD and its application in education, notably in science education, as well as ways for efficiently applying ESD learning applications. ESD-based learning applications constitute a novel technique in the educational field. ESD consists of three major areas: economic, social, and environmental. Integrating ESD into science education is critical to accomplishing the SDGs. Several significant factors in the implementation of ESD learning applications in science in Indonesia include the government (PATK IPA), professional bodies such as the Indonesian Science Educators Association, Science Subject Conferences, and community involvement. The method in this study is qualitative research, specifically content analysis. This study includes a literature review of several periodicals, publications, and textbooks.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk Interactive E – Comic berbasis kearifan lokal dengan pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian dilakukan untuk siswa kelas 8 di 5 SMP Swasta Kabupaten Trenggalek dengan jumlah responden 108. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media berbasis digital yang masih terbatas dalam pembelajaran. Penggunaan materi berbasis kearifan lokal juga terbatas dalam implementasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan tahapan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Produk yang dikembangkan adalah komik dalam bentuk digital dengan penambahan suara (audio) dengan cerita kearifan lokal Kabupaten Trenggalek sesuai dengan karakternya. Cerita yang digunakan adalah The Origin of Gegok dan The Story of Ngitung Batih. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket, pretest dan posttest. Angket diberikan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan siswa terkait dengan media dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, penggunaan kearifan lokal dan pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran. Pretest diberikan sebelum implementasi e – comic dan posttest dilakukan setelah penerapan e – comic dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Uji efektifitas dengan menggunakan rumus N-Gain menunjukkan hasil 0,751 yang merupakan kriteria tinggi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa e – comic berbasis kearifan lokal yang dikembangkan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Dengan pendekatan saintifik, siswa terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan diskusi. Siswa juga lebih mengenal cerita kearifan lokal Kabupaten Trenggalek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e - comic berbasis kearifan lokal ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dengan tahapan yang melibatkan siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an interactive digital module based on Articulate Storyline to improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. A research and development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model is used in the development of this module, which includes the stages of needs analysis, interactive module design, development, implementation and evaluation. The research was conducted in fifth grader at one of state elementary school, Bogor City. The results of the expert validation show the feasibility of the material (90%), media (87%) and language (85%), which fall into the category of "very feasible". The effectiveness test through pre-test and post-test showed significant improvements in the aspects of analysis (N-Gain 0.63), Evaluation (N-Gain 0.75), creativity (N-Gain 0.80), and problem solving (N-Gain 0.79). Student responses to the module have been overwhelmingly positive, with an approval rate of 92% for interactivity and 90% for ease of use. This module has been shown to be effective in improving critical thinking skills through interactive features such as simulations, quizzes, and multimedia elements. In conclusion, Articulate Storyline-based modules support 21st century learning by integrating interactive technology to create a satisfying and meaningful learning experience. This research makes an important contribution to the development of innovative learning media to improve students' critical thinking skills at the elementary school level.
