Abstract

This study analyzes the integration of Islamic values into the POACE (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling, Evaluating) management model as an effort to operationalize the Islamization of education based on Islamic education philosophy. It aims to develop an operational framework that synthesizes modern management principles with Islamic ethics to create holistic and spiritually-grounded educational practices. Employing a descriptive-analytical method, the research collected data through literature review, document analysis, and case studies of educational institutions implementing Islamic value-based POACE. The analysis reveals that each stage of POACE can be effectively integrated with core Islamic values: planning founded on sacred intention (niyyah) and tawhid, organizing that upholds justice (‘adl) and trust (amanah), actuating that embodies righteous action (amal saleh) and sincerity (ikhlas), controlling infused with conscientious oversight (muraqabah), and evaluating grounded in fairness (qist) and compassion (rahmah). The discussion indicates that this synthesis transforms POACE from a neutral administrative tool into a value-laden framework for educational leadership, effectively bridging the gap between Islamic philosophical ideals and contemporary managerial demands. The study concludes that integrating Islamic values into POACE provides a systematic approach for cultivating graduates who are not only academically competent but also morally upright and socially responsible. The implications suggest this model can be adopted in curriculum development and teacher training for Islamic religious education. Future research is recommended to test the model's efficacy across diverse institutional contexts and evaluate its long-term impact on student character formation.

Abstract

This study examines gamification strategies centered on Skinner's operant conditioning theory and their impact on learning behavior and student engagement. This strategy focuses on rewards and punishments. Over the course of ten weeks, data were collected via a digital questionnaire distributed to 21 high school students. The questionnaire included open-ended questions to capture qualitative experiences, as well as 5-point Likert scale items to measure perceptions of gamification mechanics. Reflexive thematic analysis, which emphasizes iterative coding and researcher reflexivity, was used to interpret the stories and discover important themes that answer this research question. The main findings showed that while rewards significantly increased external motivation and persistence in completing tasks, technological stress and burnout were caused by technical barriers (such as slow networks and complicated interfaces) and poorly designed competitive elements (such as leaderboards).  Students emphasized the importance of balanced gamification, prioritizing intuitive design, collaborative tasks, and consistency with learning objectives.  To avoid over-justification, especially given the diverse needs of students, this research emphasizes the importance of combining intrinsic motivation with external rewards

Abstract

The integration of technology into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has become a pressing imperative in the digital era. However, empirical evidence on the effectiveness of the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework specifically within PAI learning contexts in Indonesian senior high schools remains limited. This study aims to examine the influence of the TPACK approach on student academic achievement in PAI learning at SMA Negeri 1 Ponorogo. A quantitative research design was employed, with data collected through a structured Likert-scale questionnaire administered to 80 students selected from a population of 324 Grade 11 students using the Slovin formula. Validity and reliability of the instrument were confirmed through Pearson correlation and Cronbach’s alpha tests. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression via SPSS 25. The results revealed a significant positive effect of TPACK on student achievement (F = 165.387; Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05), with a coefficient of determination (R² = 0.682), indicating that 68.2% of variance in student achievement is explained by the TPACK approach. These findings confirm that TPACK is a statistically robust predictor of learning outcomes in PAI and provide practical implications for teacher professional development in integrating technology into religious education instruction.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of project-based learning (PjBL) in enhancing students’ practical skills in green energy within industrial electronics education at a higher education institution in Batam, Indonesia. The pressing global demand for a workforce competent in renewable energy technologies necessitates pedagogical innovations that bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry-required practical competencies. Employing a quasi-experimental mixed-methods design, 63 second-semester students in the Industrial Engineering Department of Ibnu Sina University were divided into experimental (n=31) and control (n=32) groups. The experimental group engaged in PjBL focused on designing a solar panel system with microcontroller integration, while the control group followed conventional instructional methods. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, structured observation rubrics, and reflective journals. Statistical analysis using paired-sample t-tests revealed a significant improvement in practical skills for the experimental group (pre-test M=57.4; post-test M=81.6; p<0.001), substantially exceeding the control group’s improvement (pre-test M=56.9; post-test M=65.3). Qualitative findings corroborated these results, indicating heightened student engagement, collaborative problem-solving, and deeper conceptual understanding of renewable energy systems. The findings contribute to the growing body of literature on PjBL implementation in STEM-based vocational higher education and offer practical implications for curriculum design aligned with green industry workforce demands.

Abstract

This study provides compelling empirical evidence for the effectiveness of integrating digital learning media with gamified assessment tools in the context of Islamic secondary education. Addressing a clear research gap regarding the combined impact of such technologies in Al-Quran Hadits instruction, the researchers employed a quasi-experimental design with 68 eleventh-grade students at MAN Kota Batu. The experimental group utilized a digital flipbook for content delivery, reinforced by a series of Wordwall-based gamified assessments, including quizzes and matching games. The control group, in contrast, received instruction through conventional textbooks. The study’s findings were statistically significant and robust. The experimental group exhibited substantially higher learning motivation, with a mean score of 82.47 compared to 71.35 in the control group, representing a large effect size. Furthermore, their learning outcomes were markedly superior, with a mean score of 84.56 versus 72.18, also demonstrating a very large effect size. A MANOVA analysis confirmed a significant multivariate effect, indicating that the treatment had a powerful positive influence on the combined dependent variables of motivation and achievement. These results suggest that the interactive and engaging nature of the digital flipbook, combined with the immediate feedback and game-like elements of Wordwall, creates a more stimulating and effective learning environment. The study offers crucial quantitative evidence for educators and policymakers in madrasahs, supporting the strategic integration of technology to enhance both student engagement and academic performance in religious studies.
