Abstract

Inclusive education in Indonesia places autistic children as one of the main focuses, especially related to communication difficulties, social interaction, and behavior. The number of autistic children continues to increase every year with the predominance of boys. The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) method developed by Loovas is adapted to help monitor the development and behavior of autistic children consistently at home and school. Monitoring activities are carried out through three stages: (1) assistance in the use of collaborative e-books to monitor the consistency of the behavior of autistic students, (2) the implementation of collaborative e-books through ABA therapy to parents to improve the consistency of children's behavior, and (3) evaluation and dissemination of the use of collaborative e-books for parents. The results of the activity showed that collaborative e-book products through ABA therapy were successfully implemented as practical guidelines for schools and parents. In addition, a supporting device in the form of a monitoring system website functions as a digital platform to document, monitor, and evaluate the development of children's behavior synchronously between home and school. Training on the use of e-books and monitoring systems improves the consistency of autistic children's behavior so that self-development independence is formed. The use of e-books has been proven to increase self-independence, behavioral adjustment, social interaction, and consistent repetitive activities in supporting the development of autistic children.

Abstract

Patient safety is a fundamental aspect of hospital services; however, the incident reporting system at RSU Ja’far Medika has been manually operated, often resulting in delays and incomplete reporting. This Community Service Program (PkM) aimed to implement a Digital Integrated Patient Safety Incident Reporting System (SIPANDU) to enhance reporting efficiency and improve service quality. The program was carried out in two stages: (1) a needs analysis conducted through coordination meetings with the Head of IT and the Hospital Director, and (2) the implementation of SIPANDU, which was piloted within the hospital environment. The results showed that SIPANDU was successfully implemented without technical issues, enabling real-time, accurate, and easily accessible incident reporting. The outputs of this program included a comprehensive needs analysis document, a fully functional SIPANDU system, and improved hospital managerial capacity in patient safety monitoring. This implementation is expected to increase staff participation in incident reporting and foster a sustainable patient safety culture. The success of this program provides a replicable model for other hospitals in advancing digital transformation for patient safety.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in the village economy, but still face challenges of low competitiveness and limited implementation of sustainable business practices. This condition is influenced by limited knowledge, suboptimal business management systems, and low awareness of environmental aspects. This community service activity aims to increase the capacity and competitiveness of MSMEs in Samirono Village by strengthening Green Intellectual Capital. The implementation method uses a participatory approach that includes needs identification, training, and assistance in implementing environmentally friendly business practices. The results of the activity show an increase in MSME actors' understanding of resource efficiency, improvement in business management systems, and awareness in implementing sustainable business practices. The strengthening of Green Intellectual Capital encourages MSMEs to begin implementing simple innovations that have an impact on gradually increasing competitiveness and business sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process and impact of empowering students and the community of Ujung Negeri Village in developing social skills through collaboration and innovation. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative design, involving students and community members who actively participated in empowerment activities. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that empowerment based on collaboration and innovation contributes positively to the development of students’ and community members’ social skills, as reflected in improved communication, cooperation, empathy, and social responsibility, as well as increased social participation and awareness. Collaborative interactions created meaningful social engagement and strengthened social relationships, while innovative empowerment activities encouraged active involvement of all participants. Therefore, empowering students and the community through collaboration and innovation is an effective strategy for enhancing social skills and fostering a more inclusive and participatory social environment at the village level.

Abstract

Micro-businesses play a strategic role in Indonesia’s economy; however, many of them face difficulties in maintaining competitive advantage due to weak marketing strategies, particularly in packaging and product positioning. This community service program aimed to enhance the competitiveness of micro-businesses through the optimization of packaging design and product positioning. The method used in this program was participatory assistance, including problem identification, capacity building, mentoring, and evaluation stages. The activities focused on increasing partners’ understanding of the strategic role of packaging as a marketing communication tool and strengthening product positioning based on unique value propositions and target markets. The results of the community service showed positive changes in partners’ knowledge and perspectives regarding branding and marketing strategies. Improved packaging designs increased product attractiveness and perceived value, while clearer product positioning helped differentiate products in a competitive market. These changes contributed to better market confidence and business sustainability. The findings support marketing and branding theories that emphasize the importance of visual communication and positioning in building competitive advantage. Therefore, optimizing packaging and product positioning can be an effective strategy to encourage socio-economic transformation and sustainable competitiveness of micro-businesses.

Abstract

The development of digital technology encourages Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to adapt their marketing strategies to enhance business competitiveness. Digitalization at UMKM Kerupuk Ubi Marlia has become a strategic step in expanding promotion and attracting more consumers. One of the efforts made is utilizing digital media, such as registering the business location on Google Maps and optimizing business information online, making it easier to be found by the public. With digitalization, MSMEs can increase business visibility, expand marketing reach, and attract consumer interest. The results of digitalization show that it provides convenience for consumers to obtain information about the business and the products offered. This has the potential to open opportunities for increased sales and attract more visitors. Digitalization also helps MSMEs reach a broader market and enhances efficiency in promotion and services. Therefore, MSME digitalization is an effective strategy to support the development of Kerupuk Ubi businesses in the rapidly evolving digital era.

Abstract

Stroke is a leading cause of disability, reducing neuromuscular function and impeding daily activities. This Community Service program aims to improve the motor skills and muscle strength of upper extremity patients with ischemic stroke in Dukuhwaluh Village through isometric exercises involving holding a rubber ball. The program involved 12 participants who underwent education, demonstrations, and independent practice over seven days, with evaluations at the beginning and end of the program. The results showed significant improvements in the participants' motor skills and muscle strength. At the beginning of the intervention, the Thumb Extend movement was the most difficult movement, with a 92% failure rate, followed by the Side Squeeze movement at 67%. After seven days of training, participants' abilities gradually improved, as evidenced by a 50% decrease in the number of failures in the Side Squeeze movement. In terms of physical strength, muscle measurements showed an average increase from 19.2 kg in the pre-test to 20.3 kg in the post-test (a difference of 1.1 kg). Furthermore, the proportion of participants achieving the 24.5–32.4 kg strength category increased to 50%. Participant compliance was good, with the majority performing the exercises independently twice daily for 15 minutes. Overall, isometric exercises involving gripping a rubber ball have been shown to be effective in improving muscle strength and fine motor skills in stroke survivors. This intervention is an easy and inexpensive solution for survivors to implement independently at home.

Abstract

Stroke is a serious neurological disorder with a high risk of disability and death. One of the main obstacles to recovery is low medication adherence due to lack of knowledge and forgetfulness. This community service program aims to improve the knowledge and adherence of stroke patients in Dukuhwaluh Village to prevent complications. The methods used included health education through lectures, videos, leaflets, and interactive discussions. Evaluation was conducted using the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS) questionnaire and 28-day medication monitoring with family support. The results showed a significant improvement in knowledge. Before education, the "good" category was only 8%, but after the intervention, this jumped to 50%, and even reached the "very good" category at 25%. In terms of adherence, there was a drastic change from low adherence (42%) before the intervention to high adherence (100%) after the 28-day monitoring. In conclusion, health education accompanied by family involvement effectively improves medication adherence in stroke patients, thereby reducing the potential risk of complications and recurrent stroke.

Abstract

This community service program aims to assist Pusaka Gym Singaraja in addressing two main issues: suboptimal business promotion and poorly managed operational cost recording. These challenges have contributed to limited market reach and inefficiencies in financial management. Through the Service Learning and Participatory Action Research (PAR) approaches, this program actively involved students and gym management in identifying problems, designing strategies, implementing action plans, and conducting evaluations. The strategies implemented included developing digital promotion through social media, particularly Instagram, by creating engaging content, scheduling posts consistently, and optimizing interactive features to increase audience engagement. In addition, the team designed a simple, structured, and user-friendly operational cost recording system using Microsoft Excel. The system covered income and expense tracking, as well as monthly financial reporting to support better financial monitoring. The results showed that digital promotion significantly improved business visibility, expanded audience reach, and increased customer interaction. Meanwhile, the implementation of systematic financial recording enhanced cost efficiency, transparency, and managerial decision-making. This program demonstrates that collaboration between academia and business can generate practical, applicable, and sustainable solutions to improve the performance of small enterprises in the fitness sector.

Abstract

Corruption is a serious issue that must be addressed from an early age through character education. Children who are overly dependent on gadgets tend to experience a decline in discipline and moral values. Therefore, a socialization program on anti-corruption education using a creative method through LEGO play was organized, entitled "Socialization of Anti-Corruption Education and Discipline Attitudes in Children with Gadget Dependency through LEGO Play at SD Negeri 004 Samarinda Ilir, Grade V, Gg Budiman, Jl. Lumba-Lumba, Selili, Samarinda."The purpose of this activity is to instill the principles of honesty, responsibility, and to foster disciplined behavior among students in a fun and interactive way. The method used is collaborative, where children are encouraged to build structures using LEGO bricks while being taught about anti-corruption principles.The results of this activity show a positive development in student behavior, with a noticeable reduction in gadget dependency and an increased understanding of the importance of honesty and discipline. This program serves as an effective learning approach to instill character values contextually and enjoyably within the elementary school environment.
