Abstract

In the era of public information disclosure, digital documents have become strategic assets in supporting transparent, accountable, and participatory governance. Effective management of these documents is essential to ensure that public information services are responsive and accessible. However, document classification tasks carried out by Public Information and Documentation Officers (PPID) still rely heavily on manual processes, which are time-consuming, inefficient, and prone to human error. To address this challenge, this study aims to develop an intelligent classification model for public documents using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP), integrated within the Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) framework. The proposed solution was designed using the Design Science Research (DSR) methodology and implemented through Agile development practices. Evaluation was conducted in a simulated laboratory environment that mirrors real-world PPID operations. The developed model leverages transformer-based architectures, particularly BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers), and is compared against traditional algorithms such as Naive Bayes and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN). Experimental results show that the BERT model achieves superior performance, with an accuracy of 89%, precision of 0.88, recall of 0.89, and F1-score of 0.88. These metrics confirm that Transformer-based models are highly effective for classifying public documents into categories of information accessibility: available at all times, periodic, immediate, and exempted from disclosure. This research highlights the potential of AI-powered classification to streamline public information services, reduce workload, and enhance compliance with information disclosure laws. The findings support national development priorities such as RPJMN 2025 by contributing to digital transformation in the public sector. The study also provides a replicable framework for other government agencies aiming to implement adaptive and transparent document classification systems.

Abstract

This study investigates public sentiment toward cryptocurrency regulation policies in Indonesia by employing a logistic regression approach on social media data. A total of 300 Indonesian-language tweets were collected from platform X between January 2022 and April 2025 through a web scraping method using targeted keywords related to cryptocurrency payment regulations. Data preprocessing included text cleaning, case folding, stemming with the Sastrawi library, stopword removal, and tokenization, followed by feature extraction using TF-IDF. Sentiment labels were manually assigned in collaboration with legal experts to ensure classification accuracy. The logistic regression model achieved strong predictive performance, with 91.67% accuracy on the test set and stable results across K-Fold Cross Validation, yielding an average accuracy of 92–93%. The sentiment analysis revealed that the majority of public opinion expressed positive sentiment (85%), while negative sentiment represented only 15%. Positive sentiment was primarily associated with terms such as “protect,” “regulate,” “benefit,” and “legality,” highlighting public support for regulatory measures that enhance investor protection and provide legal certainty. Conversely, negative sentiment featured terms including “forbidden,” “restrict,” and “obstruct,” which reflected concerns regarding regulatory barriers and religious considerations surrounding cryptocurrency usage. The findings demonstrate that Indonesian society generally perceives cryptocurrency regulation as a constructive initiative toward building a secure and trustworthy digital asset ecosystem. Furthermore, the empirical evidence contributes to the growing literature on public perception of financial technology regulations in developing countries. For policymakers, the results emphasize the importance of transparent communication and balanced regulatory frameworks to maintain public trust while addressing potential risks. Overall, this research provides valuable insights into how sentiment analysis can inform the design of more effective regulatory strategies in the evolving landscape of digital finance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the mandatory halal certification policy on improving the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Jakarta area. This study was conducted using a qualitative approach through a literature review of various scientific publications relevant to the topic. The scope of the study includes regulatory aspects related to halal certification, the level of readiness of MSMEs to meet the established requirements, and its impact on market accessibility and consumer trust. The findings of this study indicate that the implementation of mandatory halal certification has positively contributed to strengthening product image, expanding the market, and increasing the added value of MSME products, particularly those operating in the food, beverage, and cosmetics sectors. Halal certification not only provides assurance for Muslim consumers but can also be attractive to international markets that require similar standards. This indirectly encourages MSMEs to improve the quality of their production and business governance. However, the implementation of this policy still faces several obstacles. Some MSMEs do not yet understand the urgency and benefits of halal certification. Furthermore, the lack of tangible consequences for businesses that have not yet obtained certification leads to low compliance. High certification costs and complicated administrative procedures are also major obstacles, particularly for MSMEs with limited resources. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the mandatory halal certification policy has significant potential to boost MSME competitiveness, all supported by a sustainable training strategy, adequate technical assistance, digitalization of the certification process, and affirmative action policies that favor the small and micro business sector. Therefore, synergy between the government, certification bodies, and MSMEs is key to optimizing the implementation of this policy.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the last decade has driven the widespread adoption of machine learning in various sectors, from healthcare and finance to manufacturing and education. Two main approaches dominate: supervised and unsupervised learning. Supervised learning leverages labeled data to build predictive models with high accuracy and strong generalization capabilities, but its application is often hampered by the need for expensive, time-consuming, and error-prone labeling processes. In contrast, unsupervised learning operates on unlabeled data to identify latent patterns, clustering, and novel data representations. This approach excels in large-data scale and exploration efficiency, but faces challenges in interpreting results, validating performance, and implementing them in real-world systems. This article presents a recent literature review (2020–2024) based on searches in Scopus, IEEE Xplore, and Google Scholar using the keywords “supervised learning,” “unsupervised learning,” “machine learning trends,” and “hybrid approaches.” The results show a significant trend toward integrating hybrid approaches such as semi-supervised learning, self-supervised learning, and a combination of transfer learning approaches, aiming to overcome the limitations of each paradigm. Furthermore, research gaps were identified regarding the need for robust evaluation methods for unsupervised learning, the development of adaptive models for dynamic data, and increased transparency in the learning process. Critically, this article highlights the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in designing hybrid algorithms that are not only efficient and accurate, but also interpretive and reliable for data-driven decision-making. Recommendations for future research directions focus on the creation of a standardized evaluation framework, the integration of AI with edge computing technology, and the exploration of the potential of hybrid learning in the context of real-time data.

Abstract

Choosing a college major is a crucial decision that significantly impacts a student's future. This decision not only affects the academic path they will take but also their career and life in the future. A wrong choice of major can lead to a mismatch between a student's abilities and interests with the selected program, resulting in academic difficulties and financial waste. Therefore, it is essential for students to choose a major that aligns with their interests, talents, and other criteria such as tuition fees, accreditation, and career prospects after graduation. This study aims to assist students in the college major selection process by developing a Decision Support System (DSS) using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The SAW method was chosen for its ability to rank alternatives based on the relevant criteria's weights, thus helping students make objective and efficient decisions. The research was conducted using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach, which includes four main stages: planning, design, coding, and testing. In the planning stage, system requirements were identified through interviews with students and document analysis. The design stage involved developing the SAW algorithm to provide recommendations for majors based on the weights of the selected criteria. The criteria used included tuition fees, program accreditation, career prospects, and alignment with the student's interests. After that, the coding stage implemented the system using an appropriate programming language. In the testing stage, the system was tested to ensure the recommendations provided were accurate and met expectations. The results showed that the system was effective in providing appropriate major recommendations through the ranking of relevant criteria. With this system, students can make their college major decision more objectively, quickly, and efficiently, thus reducing the risk of making wrong decisions.

Abstract

The research entitled "Designing an Artificial Intelligence-Based Consultation Media Prototype to Increase the Effectiveness of International Internships in the Hospitality Sector" aims to produce a consultation media prototype that utilizes artificial intelligence technology as a means of mentoring for internship candidates. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach at PT. Ama Kodya, where data is obtained through observations of 200 prospective participants, interviews with two expert sources representing the fields of information technology and graphic design, and documentation. In its design, the research combines Natural Language Processing (NLP) theory to develop the ability of artificial intelligence to understand and respond to human language, with User Experience (UX) theory that focuses on designing user interfaces to be easier, more comfortable, and more interactive. The results show that an NLP-based chatbot is the most suitable form of AI to meet the needs of this consultation media, because the chatbot is able to convey information, directions, and guidance in an interactive, contextual manner, and adapts its communication style to the user's condition. The chatbot can only be accessed through the official website of PT. Ama Kodya so that its security is guaranteed and can be controlled according to company standards. The research findings also formulated a systematic design model that can be used as a guideline in developing similar digital consultation media in the future. Based on the study results, it was concluded that an AI-based chatbot with an NLP and UX approach was proven to be able to improve participant readiness in participating in international internship programs, provide a personalized and adaptive consultation experience, and can support the creation of an effective, efficient, and user-friendly consultation service program, thereby strengthening the quality of internship programs in the hospitality sector as a whole.
